My daughter and I worked with "Amit" from Friendly Remodeling for renovation of our home, creating a downstairs master bedroom, shower room and sitting area. Amit guided us step-by-step through the architectural design, permit and construction. We were very pleased with the quality of all the work done. We expected to have a few bumps in the road, of course, but overall the entire process was stress-free. "Friendly" is a good name for the company. Everyone was pleasant to work with. My daughter and I highly recommend Friendly Remodel. read more

Very happy with my bathroom remodel. Nate the project manager was on top of everything and it was done with City permits.

I am a paralegal and I presented Amit with a rare scenario that I needed to assist my client with remodeling his home. I have never done any remodeling nor have I ever coordinated a remodel either. I met with Nate for the initial walk-through and he was extremely informative and thorough. I relayed to Nate that I was unaware of how to go about the whole process and he made it very easy to trust him with taking the reins on products, ideas, etc. The Friendly Remodeling company was there everyday and had very clear communication with next steps, which I appreciated as I was not always on the project site. Given the value of customer service and how quickly everything was completed, I will recommend Friendly Remodeling to anyone who is in need of a restoration or remodel. Thank you, thank you, thank you! read more

Was told that they don't do any jobs less than $12,000 starting, very discouraging and unfortunate. Should be a disclaimer when they advertise their services. (Update) Per our conversation over the phone, I wanted to confirm that I was not offered any alternative contractors for my project, which is valued at under $12,000. At this point, being offered a lower bid by a contractor you recommend would be unwelcome. read more

We did our kitchen counters , remolded our master bath and took out our old entertainment unit! They are outstanding in communication keeping you informed daily on what will be going on and the time they will arrive. Our job was started on the 9th of September and was done on 17th of October! I would highly recommend Friendly Remodeling all of your remodeling projects! They held our "hands" throughout the project! Nate our contractor took us to pick out our tile and countertops on two occasions to make sure it was what we wanted! They are a 5 company and we highly recommend them read more

Bathroom looks amazing. We can see the attention to detail, the hard work, and that they took the time to get it right. The before and after pictures really tell the quality! I love how BRIGHT it is and open. I feel like we utilized every inch of the space to its full potential. One of my favorite things is the gifted quartz bench. It's so pretty and quality and gives a SPA VIBE. Thank you to Amit at Friendly Remodeling! Amit's team: - added lighting to the niche and ceiling - remodeled and tiled our shower - added floating cement for extra straight lines - hot mop for waterproofing - made a shower bench - bumped out the wall - reframed our doorway to widen it - installed the floor - leveled the floor so we didn't need a transition strip (better for future mopping) - fixed all holes and textured the walls the painted everything (painted bathroom, bedroom walls, ceiling, trim, etc) - installed pocket door and lock - hung and centered shelves - installed an anti-fog mirror - installed 2 medicine cabinets for added storage Great value! Thank you always being reliable and on time . 830-9am! Thanks for meeting all 3 inspectors at our house and cleaning up everyday too. Great hardworking crew! We started this kitchen project (smaller one wall project, no major renovations) back in May. We first started with the Home Depot Design Center but every step started to get way more complicated so we started to look up independent contractors. Contractors are slammed with projects right now so many weren't interested and only Amit and a few others said they were available. After getting some quotes, processes and plans, we thought Amit was the most welcoming and trustworthy contractor to work with. He was very communicative and was always available to chat if we had any questions. Him and his team worked with our schedule and made the final install happen in about 4 days. We also had a small side project that was done efficiently too. We are so happy with the finished product and will definitely work with Friendly Remodeling for any future projects! read more

When I started looking for a contractor to remodel my two smaller (yet obviously important to me!) bathrooms in my condo, I requested multiple bids from multiple contractors. Friendly Remodeling provided the winning combination - a good price (neither lowest nor highest), great online reviews, and most important, an eagerness to get my business. This was my first experience with any sort of remodeling, so my top request to Dina, the PM, was patience. I was on no deadline, and did not want to be rushed into doing anything. Dina, and her team, were very accomodating. Excellent communication throughout the process. Hopefully the pictures speak for themselves! The quality of work is superb. read more

My husband and I hired Friendly Remodeling at the end of June to renovate our kitchen. They finished at the end of August and we couldn't be happier with the results. They did a beautiful job! They are true artists! They made sure the work was done right. Their price was comparable to other companies we interviewed. They were always quick to respond to our texts and answer our phone calls when we had questions. They also made us feel like family. In fact, we will miss Amit, Shimi, Zack, Horacio, Antonia, and Hugo very much. We definitely recommend Friendly Remodeling for home renovation as when problems arose, their team worked hard to find solutions and complete the project. We love our kitchen! read more

My wife and I recently hired Friendly Remodeling for a home renovation project, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The initial consultation was longer than all the others I had but provided a clear picture of what they would do it, how they would communicate during the project and a time frame for the job. Their team exhibited exceptional professionalism and customer service. One of the things that impressed us the most was their communication and responsiveness. They were always quick to answer my calls or texts, which made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Everyone was always looped in on text communications guaranteeing there could be no one saying "I didn't know". Additionally, their attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship truly showed in the final outcome of the project. Don't read this and think everything was perfect and seamless, any project is going to have its challenges. We think it is important to be your own advocate and be onsite or very available to verify things are happening the way you expect. But, when unexpected problems arose during the renovation, their team handled them with grace and professionalism. They worked diligently to find effective solutions, ensuring that the project stayed on track and within budget. We noticed an atypical issue at around the 90-day mark after completion. I texted them and got a response from the owner Amit in less than 10 minutes. The next morning he had two people come out and inspect the issue. That is what I call service after the sale. We highly recommend Friendly Remodeling to anyone in need of reliable and skilled contractors. Their dedication to customer satisfaction is unparalleled, and we wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for future projects. Amit, Shimi and Hugo were great! No hesitation on my Five Star rating! We hope everyone has the same experience we did. read more

I have a small townhome and needed both of my bathrooms upgraded. Nate was great. He also included a friend of mine who was helping me through this daunting process. Nate allowed us to have visibility using a group chat. Nate eased my concerns by being available to my questions and by being in constant communication regarding progress and hiccups. He was super easy to work with, even when my schedule was not as accommodating. Nate went above and beyond to provide a high quality solution for challenging situations like a vanity that didn't quite fit and bifold doors that were a bit non-traditional in use. I'm a practical and not showy type when it comes to the home. So simple and clean is what i needed with upgrades behind the scenes. The end result, cost and timing of completion hit the mark. Nate made this a comforting experience and I love the outcome. read more

We needed two bathrooms remodeled at our second home in San Diego. After an agonizing failed attempt with another construction company, I was devastated but had to continue the project. I met with several other companies, and while some were convincing, I was still skeptical. When I met Friendly Remodeling, I knew this was it! The knowledge and expertise and evident and not a sales pitch. With Friendly Remodeling, I felt assured throughout the whole process. My bathrooms are absolutely stunning and I'm thrilled with how everything turned out. These people truly are a team of pros. Dina, the project manager, had creative design ideas and took attention to every detail, from lighting to color scheme. She graciously took care of all my questions patiently and thoroughly. Amit and his team did a spectacular job on our kitchen project. Our project was on the minor side - just added some cabinets and a countertop along a wall. However Amit did not make our job seem any less important than any of the other larger projects he had going on - he was available to us whenever we had questions and provided clarity every step of the way. The job we did was a custom cabinet job so he had his design specialist come in and help us build out exactly what we wanted. From there we ordered parts and got the ball rolling - most other places quoted several weeks and sometimes months lead time, however Amit did everything from start to finish in about a month. The overall look and quality of the final product was better than we could have imagined. I cannot recommend Amit and his team enough - we will definitely be using Friendly remodeling for any projects in the future read more

I recently had to gut my house due the flood in January and was forced to rent a place for me and my family to stay while we let our house air out and be disinfected. Due to this I need a contractor who would begin asap but obviously I didn't want to sacrifice quality. Amit came out and gave us an estimate very quickly and offered to start within days. I ended up choosing him and I am very pleased and he finished on time as he promised. I decided I would paint myself since I have a sprayer so his crew even covered all my new flooring they installed so I could paint. Very pleased and I would definitely recommend to anyone needing work on your home! Here's some before and after pics. They dry walled and textured, leveled floors and replaced flooring along with replacing my interior doors! read more

Nate, the project manager, was amazing to work with. He was patient and very helpful in guiding me in the process of my kitchen and bathroom renovation. He never gouged me for more money or threw any surprises of extra work or costs. He kept his word and integrity all through our pre-negotiated contract. Further more, he even guided me where I could save costs. For a complete bathroom and kitchen remodel, his crew completed the job fairly quickly in just about a month's time. Nate and one of the other craftsman Ruben were awesome and professional. Their quality on the custom cabinetry and installation of everything I asked for was tremendous. Additionally, Nate worked very well with my HOA. I live downtown in a condominium and it's hard to find contractors that have patience to meet the HOA requirements. His business and professionalism put my HOA at ease and allowed them to get the job done. After everything was complete, Nate did a thorough walkthrough with me and took care of any discrepancies whether minor or major without hesitation. I highly recommend these guys. Would hire them again for any future remodel. Nate's crew is the best. read more

4 hour sit down consultation on a Sunday. Once they drew up our contract they failed to show up for almost a week! First it was a worker having a "flat tire". Gave them the benefit of the doubt in which the next day they don't show due to now getting the material. They did not seem to respect our time as another excuse was due to the GAS PRICES! All for a small bathroom that was already started by a prior contractor. Every time we had a question about their work they would constantly remind us that they had "worked on one million dollar houses" and that a job is "not done" until they say it is! I can't believe how unfriendly they are. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT All! I hope this helps someone in the future. read more

This is only the quote timely manner. They were on time and ready to give us advice our project.

We considered working with Friendly Remodeling for a full house remodeling project, but we didn't and I'm glad we didn't!!! We learned from Nate, their project manager, that we needed the city permit given one structural wall was being removed. During our first interview, we liked Nate and decided to work with him and his architecture to prepare the necessary package for the city. If we find them a good fit, we would have them remodel our house and I'm so glad we didn't sign a contract then. While friendly and professional, Nate was ill-informed in many areas and passive in solving the problems that arose. Their architect was rude and dismissive, hung up the phone on me during one of our conference calls, and didn't cooperate with our engineer. We ended up not working with them because, it took Nate and his architecture 7months (instead of the 3weeks originally promised) to prepare the architectural plans, my engineer 3 weeks to prepare his plans for city submission, a month and a half for city approval, and 4months of remodel work by another contractor. With how things went during those 7months, I couldn't imagine them handling my big remodel. While the team is definitely friendly but not experienced, proactive, and resourceful. They might be ok with a small remodel of a spare bath, but not a big project. read more

My mom recently became widowed and I needed to have her live with me but not necessarily in the main house. Thankfully, I have a detached garage. So I went on the internet and searched and Friendly Remodeling came up. Read all the reviews and I was very impressed. Set up an appt with Nate and came out the following day. Long story short I signed up right away and I'm not one to sign right away but I felt Nate was very up front and fair. I signed up that very same day and the following week they were at it busy finishing my detached garage into a livable space for me. Took them about a week and 1/2 to finish drywall, run new wiring, lighting and painting. Just waiting on SDG&Ave so we can upgrade my electrical panel. I highly recommend Nate and his crew, Angel & Anthony. They're skilled and very professional and above all Nate and his crew always keeps me updated on everything. read more

We needed to remodel 2 bathrooms and a kitchen in this time when things are expensive because of shortage of material and labor.  Before we settled with Friendly Remodeling,  we met with about 10 contractors, big and small, based on their Yelp rating and friends recommendation. Most of the contractors had great portfolios and great reviews on yelp and presented us with many references but at the end we choosing Friendly Remodeling because we felt comfortable and trusted Amit,  the owner of the company.  As you know, no matter how much planning and tight contract we might sign for a big project,  it is expected that something will go wrong  due honest misunderstand or mistakes,  so it was very important for us to have  a partner looking for a solution instead of pointing fingers. Fortunatly for us everything went smoother than expected but the minor challenges we had were handled promptly and professionally. Amit has a great, knowledgably, honest and very polite crew that work for him. We had a great time working and collaborating with all of them as we made some changes to the plan or design.  They are willing to work with the customer to make the design and the finished better than expected. The cabinet work and the material ( hardware and wood) is very high quality, the floor and wall  tile guys attention to detail  is a work of art,  the counter guys, the plumbers and the electricians were very knowable. We will be proud to recommend Friendly Remodeling to  to anyone. read more

We wanted to remodel the kitchen and asked for 3 quotes. We ultimately chose this company because of the owner's personality. He gave a reasonable quote and was also to be the project manager. He said he would be there every other day to oversee. And he kept his word. Friendly Remodeling has delivered. From the owner, the cabinet guys, the foreman to the other workers that were at our house for 5 weeks. Everyone is kind, respectful, skilled and hard working. If there is something that needs to be corrected, they have no problems fixing it. The backsplash ended up bubbling out, they fixed it. And now the grout is a different color and they will fix that too. We are 90% done with our remodeling. We also had our bar area, our bathroom, and fireplace completely redone. We just decided to have them do the exterior painting of our house because we trust them and knew what we were going to get as a business. read more
