Charley was our project manager; he kept the project moving forward and was extremely responsive to texts and calls. They helped us change the cabinet layout a bit and it ends up being more functional while also having much more usable space. The flooring and baseboards turned out terrific, it really changes the look and feel of the space. We had picked out something that was not one of their usual suppliers, but that was no problem. Of the many options they had the best ideas and the qualified workmen. Mike Garst considered the project from every angle, brought in members of his team on 3 occasions to suggest approaches. When they opened the dry wall we found the supports were rotted & had to be replaced. They built a roof support, replaced damaged wood, added cement inside the walls higher than outside level to prevent leaks, then filled a beautiful solid cement floor and repaired the drywall. Better than good as new, this room boasts a superior foundation that gives me confidence. Every member of Mike's team is punctual, profesional, knowledgeable and courteous. When work was done, Mike came and, on his own account, adjusted the sticky sliding door so it moves smoothly. Mike's boss, Brian, also came several times to look over the project. I bought a home in the middle of the pandemic. It's in good condition fundamentally and in a nice location, but was in desperate need of a remodel. The home was built in 1969 and has had some upgrades since (maybe 1980?), but essentially needed an entire makeover. I reached out to half a dozen contractors, and surprisingly they were all pretty much in the same ballpark as far as cost. What made me choose Mastercraft was Janelle, I felt like she really got what I was trying to do with this place and my budget. We ended up spending the day together with my designer picking out materials and it was very fun and productive, I think you can see from the photos that we made some good choices :) I was really impressed with how the kitchen redesign went. I knew the wall needed to come down, but it wasn't clear to me what we were going to do with the space. Chris came over and within an hour had a 3D rendering of the island, counters, fridge and cabinet design that you can see in these pictures. Once work got started it was intense, since I actually lived here during the remodel (crazy, right?), but Joe and Gus always made sure that things were on track and that I was happy with the way the remodel was going. Being that I was here every day I was able to interact with Gus on a regular basis since he was the project manager and he was always extremely friendly, respectful, and accommodating. We had been wanting to replace our old carpeting with luxury vinyl plank flooring for awhile. Then we needed a new dishwasher and discovered it had been slowly leaking, causing major damage to our kitchen sub floor! And there was mold! Ugh. We called MasterCraft because they had done such a nice job leveling our mobile home. Their contractor Mo the Mold Guy, came in the first day and worked like a one man army! He had an assistant, but he was the expert. He took out all the rotted subfloor and lower cabinets, but no more than was necessary, dried, sprayed and mitigated the mold until we could start fresh. Another gentleman came in and laid down a thick, real wood subfloor, in one long day. He too, was a very hard worker with a great attitude. Then we could finally do the flooring. Robert and his other two crew members arrived exactly when they said they would. They did an excellent job; the floor is beautiful, all throughout the house now! They were pleasant to work with and very clean and considerate with a great attitude. We purchased the flooring from MasterCraft. They gave us a good deal and it seems to be great quality. We recently had major work done in our home by Mastercraft, kitchen, flooring and two bathroom remodels. The process was very smooth and professional, first James came out and walked through to get an idea of what could work, we also met with Joe who measured everything up and worked us out a starting estimate of costs. Of course a full estimate needs to know materials so we went to their showroom and picked out our flooring, tiles and backsplash with James. Then Covid hit us. We put off the job again and again hoping it would be over soon. Obviously that didn't work out. Periodically James would check in on us. At no point were we pressured or did they request any payments of any kind, purely just touching base. We finally went ahead and... Wow. We are so happy we went with Mastercraft. He gave us wise advice on a problem with the previous paint job and although he could have just painted over it, he spent the time explaining to us how to fix the problem for the long term while keeping our unique preferences in mind (a non-toxic home). He completed the painting in one single day and it looks stunning. Even with our "gluten free paint". Plumber: He generously came to our home on a Saturday to hook up our sink so that we would be able to do dishes and have drinking water. He also arrived in a days notice when we had a leak unrelated to the job. He solved the mystery and fixed the problem. Rocco: This man is a master mudder. He took his time and turned our filleted walls into a solid, even, beautiful structure with integrity and perfect textural design. It was profound to see the transformation. We had a massive project: replaced all windows and framed in and installed a couple new windows, new Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring and carpeting on new subfloor, new roof on house and garage, completely new kitchen and appliances plus new gas range exhaust vent location and relocation of gas line, completely new master bath with additional framing and custom tiled shower, new quartz countertop in kitchen, guest bath and laundry, new paint inside and out, new LED light fixtures throughout, new doors, six new fans, new plumbing in kitchen, laundry and guest bath...and dozens of other tasks. If we had to do it all over again, in a New York minute I'd call Joe and ask for his help and that of Chris, Gus and Mike -- all pros in every respect.
