We had to replace our LVP flooring due to a pipe leak. The flooring was only 4 years old and in good condition but the damp section had to be removed and no replacements were available from the original vendor. After checking recommendations we hired Legacy flooring who did an amazing professional job, better than the original installation. Their installers and not subcontractors, they are employed by Legacy so the entire process of selecting and installing the LVP was seamless. They removed the old LVP, hauled it away, corrected the floor leveling that was incorrectly installed by the previous flooring contractor, put down plastic underlayment that the previous flooring contractor omitted, installed the flooring, painted and installed all new baseboard. I couldn't be more satisfied with Legacy flooring performance. Now our floors are better than new! read more

On 20 Oct 2017, Legacy completed the installation of about 700 sq ft of engineered wood flooring on the lower level of our home. We're very happy with how the job turned out. During our initial visit to the showroom, we spoke to both Nathan and Patrick. We found them very personable and certainly knowledgeable about all their wood products. Luckily, they also had the exact flooring we were interested in and were able to take home a sample. Patrick came to the house to do the measure. During his visit, he also made a suggestion regarding an additional area to place flooring he felt may offer better aesthetics. Although our ideas initially differed regarding this area, it was determined that his suggestion made better sense in the long run, so we went with it. The room does look better as a result. The installers (Omar & Benny) certainly know their game. Even though I'm very particular about contractor work done in our home, I can find virtually nothing to critique about the installation process or appearance of the finished job. Additionally, our job involved demolishing some existing tile. The guys took the time to protect everything as well as possible from the impending dust storm they were about to create. This was much appreciated and certainly diminished our cleanup efforts afterward. Installation of the flooring went smoothly and looks great, as did installation and painting of all new baseboards. There was even a small amount of precision cutting of the new flooring needed for a future project, which was handled perfectly. We're certainly very happy with the end result of the job as a whole. We considered Legacy because of their Yelp review status, as well as 3 other sellers. Now that the job is finished, we feel we made the best choice. Patrick's pricing is extremely competitive and Omar and Benny's installation work was top notch. We would have no issue calling Patrick again if a need arises. Do yourself a favor and speak with Patrick or Nathan before making any decisions about your floor. I'm sure you'll end up joining the Legacy fan club, too. read more

Super disappointing. The owner came out to come take measurements and he said he was going to give us a bid a few days later and to go pick out which flooring we like. We went to the store in Encinitas picked out a few floorings, took them for samples, and when I dropped them back I again asked for the bid as he had not given us one yet in over a week. He then said he will work on it right away and get back to me. Another few weeks go by, my mom calls and asks for the bid - again, promised us he would get us one immediately. NEVER HEARD BACK! We have a huge house too. Wasted over a months time just waiting to hear back from him. Do not recommend dong business with someone who could care less about keeping their word before the work even begins and wasted our time going to the stores several times looking at different flooring and picking and dropping off. Found another company that got us a bid 24 hours later. read more

Patrick and his team are great/honest people that care about their product, and they will do everything they can to make sure you are happy with their work. Every flooring company will say they have the best carpet, and the best installers, but in my opinion, you really do get a more talented team of specialists to work with your floors at this shop. I've worked with Patrick on three separate jobs over the last 5 years; once at our old home and twice at our new home. All in all, we have had new carpet and wood-look tile installed. Both the carpet and tile installers did a great job. As I understand, Patrick has maintained the same in-house crew for the last decade or more. I can understand why it has been important for him to keep them in-house, as they pay careful attention to their craft and quality of work. During the tile installation, they created impossibly thin grout lines, and laid the floor perfectly straight across a stretch of more than 50 feet throughout our downstairs. We get so many compliments on our floor, and people don't believe us when we tell them the floor is actually tile because of how clean the lines look. It is without hesitation that I recommend Patrick and his team at Legacy flooring. His pricing and products are excellent, especially given the quality of the installation. Furthermore, I have even seen them go out of their way to help customers make the right flooring decisions, even if it means they won't make as much money on a job.
