Pride Moving did an amazing job; we had 4 movers that showed up on time and got right to work. They made sure to carefully wrap everything so nothing was damaged, and were very patient in answering our questions. They were very careful in loading, unwrapping and re-assembling everything at our new house (I could tell they were trying not to bump any doorways or scratch the walls with the heavy furniture which I appreciated). It feels strange to writing a one star review of this moving company with all the other reviews being five star. I carefully read all the reviews before hiring Pride late last year to move. The disconnect between all the stellar reviews and the actual experience is startling. I can't figure out exactly why there is such a disconnect. Our experience was as follows: The person who showed up at our place to assess the move and packing seriously misjudged the amount of packing they were hired to do the day before moving. The crew arrived mid-morning and left mid-afternoon not finishing all the packing up for the next day's move. The day of the move, the crew spent half the day still packing up all our stuff before we actually moved, making for a very long, LONG day. The crew were mostly young men - some of whom actually looked like late teens - who were clearly not trained in packing or moving. The bros were just throwing stuff into boxes, so there was damage to various lamps and furniture and stereo equipment, etc. (I'm still unpacking boxes and finding stuff damaged and scratched.) To sum up the experience of doing business with Pride: They were rude, unprofessional and careless. Why my experience with them doesn't jibe with all the other reviews is a mystery. I found Pride Moving through Yelp when I reached out to a bunch of moving companies. Pride had the best reviews and best rates that I found. Max was very helpful with getting the move booked and was always easy to text with for booking. I even had to change my move-in date and they were able to accommodate which I was very grateful for. On the day of the move, Sam and Adam arrived early at 7:51am which I was happy about since I was so excited to move in! They were easily able to find the correct place to park. They moved everything out of our 1 bedroom apartment with stairs quickly and carefully, making sure to wrap everything. They even provided us with 3 wardrobe boxes. My experience with Pride Moving was good ... a few hiccups but that's expected with any move and Max was very quick to resolve any issues. He was professional, responsive, had great communication and did me some favors which I really appreciate. We requested a specific unloading day and he made that happen. Major kudos to him. We've never used this moving company before and since this was a move from San Diego to Seattle, we thought about using one of the larger moving companies but they couldn't guarantee a specific move-in day.
