Pride Moving was great. I found them on Better Business Bureau and after calling them and two other highly rated movers decided to go with Pride. It was easy to get a quote and owner Max was responsive and easy to get in touch with, and was very clear and straightforward about pricing and what was included. Based on our situation, he recommended three movers. I received a confirmation email the day before our set date. Day of, I got a text letting me know when our movers would arrive and they arrived exactly on time in their own yellow Pride Moving truck. Our movers were Zhandos, Ali, and Dan were awesome. They were polite and kind and took care of all our stuff. They worked quickly and communicated clearly with us. Once we got to move in, they took items exactly where we asked them to with care! Not looking forward to moving anytime again soon, but if we do, we will absolutely use Pride Moving and recommend them to friends and family. The value was excellent and had high quality of work. It feels strange to writing a one star review of this moving company with all the other reviews being five star. I carefully read all the reviews before hiring Pride late last year to move. The disconnect between all the stellar reviews and the actual experience is startling. I can't figure out exactly why there is such a disconnect. Our experience was as follows: The person who showed up at our place to assess the move and packing seriously misjudged the amount of packing they were hired to do the day before moving. The crew arrived mid-morning and left mid-afternoon not finishing all the packing up for the next day's move. The day of the move, the crew spent half the day still packing up all our stuff before we actually moved, making for a very long, LONG day. The crew were mostly young men - some of whom actually looked like late teens - who were clearly not trained in packing or moving. The bros were just throwing stuff into boxes, so there was damage to various lamps and furniture and stereo equipment, etc. (I'm still unpacking boxes and finding stuff damaged and scratched.) To sum up the experience of doing business with Pride: They were rude, unprofessional and careless. Why my experience with them doesn't jibe with all the other reviews is a mystery. In short, it was the absolute WORST move of my life. read more

Whenever I asked the lead mover, Anton (not sure if I remember his name correctly) , to make an adjustment, like "could we move this bed 6 inches to the left," his response was "100%!" I found Pride Moving through Yelp when I reached out to a bunch of moving companies. Pride had the best reviews and best rates that I found. Max was very helpful with getting the move booked and was always easy to text with for booking. I even had to change my move-in date and they were able to accommodate which I was very grateful for. On the day of the move, Sam and Adam arrived early at 7:51am which I was happy about since I was so excited to move in! They were easily able to find the correct place to park. They moved everything out of our 1 bedroom apartment with stairs quickly and carefully, making sure to wrap everything. They even provided us with 3 wardrobe boxes. Asked questions when necessary but really did a great job at packing everything up and wrapping all the furniture! We had heavy items like a peloton bike and a king size bed that needed to be moved upstairs and not in the friendly doorway and they got it in no problem! Moving is never easy but they were great! Zhandos and Ulysses from Pride Moving were an AMAZING moving team. We had a complicated, far move from near San Diego to Studio City, Los Angeles, California, and they made the whole experience a pleasant one. Pride Moving company were prompt, and communicated often and early, checking in the day before the move, and arriving exactly when they said they would day of. It was refreshing to get a precise arrival estimate -- a one hour window -- which was exactly attended to. The move was efficient, but performed with care.
