The Ascension of my table was put together backwards. Second, check your closets--some items were haphazardly placed rather than organized. Okay service, not great. Abe and another guy came on time, cordial but wouldn't say friendly. Moved at a reasonable pace, but wouldn't say they hustled either. Overall service was four stars but removing another star for two reasons: Watch your final calculations, he added double travel time on top of the regular time, which would have cost me an extra $60. He insisted I give him a review while he stood there. Edit: clarifying for response, the total move took 3.5hrs and drive was 25mins which is included in the 3.5 hrs. But he added 50mins (2x 25mins), so tried to charge me 4.5hrs for the move. I corrected his error as double time only should add 25 mins to the total time. He was basically trying to charge 3x driving time. read more

Andy and his cos are so diligent and professional. We had two bedrooms worth of stuff in public storage and in our apartment. It took them only 3 hrs to load everything into their truck and 2 hrs to unload into our apartment. It's also SD to SJ move and it was next-day delivery. Everything was so efficient. I was able to schedule my pick up 10 days in advance, and have my furniture delivered at my new home in Las Vegas on the same day. When I called them after 1.5hr of scheduled time to know where are the movers, The lady Veronica received the call and said she will let me know when they will arrive. But unfortunately after that she never answered my call and didn't even bother to let us know that they were not coming. I had an appointment in the afternoon that is why I booked them for early morning moving service at 8am and because they didn't show up and didn't even let me know , they had to cancel the appointment and call other company movers in afternoon. Moving from downtown SD 2 Encinitas and it honestly couldn't have gone better! The team showed up right on time, got straight 2 work, and handled everything with a lot of care. They wrapped our furniture really well and nothing was scratched or damaged. They worked quickly but didn't rush and seemed to have a lot of experience. This review is for Andy- Andy confirmed with me yesterday that he would arrive to the first location at 9am. We arrived and waited for him. After 10 minutes, I reached out to Andy asking for an ETA since he still hasn't shown up. At 9:30am, I gave Andy a call- did not pick up. I called Veronica, the manager, she apologized and said she will reach out to see what's happening. At 9:34am, Andy texted back saying that their helper was there but there was an issue with the truck and he wouldn't be there until 10:30am. This would be 1.5 hours after our scheduled time and I wasn't given any notice until 30 mins after the scheduled time BECAUSE I REACHED OUT. I understand things happen however prior communication would have been nice. A simple "Hey we are running late, will keep you updated on an ETA" would have been appreciated and I would have still continued the business. But thankfully I didn't because Andy gave me a snarky comment after I asked to cancel the booking. And sucks for you Andy because another company DID PULL THROUGH ON TIME read more

Great experience with Master Moving! They didn't have a ton of reviews yet, so I was a bit nervous, but their prices are the best and setting up the move over the phone was easy. On the day of they did not disappoint! We had a huge move, with a packed full storage unit and a destination with no parking, stairs, and two long hallways. They handled it like pros and I didn't have to do anything. I literally can't picture doing this move without them. I hired Move Masters to move my belongings from one storage unit to another across town. They consolidated two storage units into one, 10x20 unit, and then dropped a couple of items at my house. (40min total drive time, with both stops). Putting aside that this simple move inexplicably took nearly six hours, my bigger issues were that 1) the movers stood over my shoulder and insisted I write a yelp review before they left (I didn't), and 2) after leaving, both movers came to my came to my door with a "forgotten" box of mine and told me I hadn't tipped enough. Felt aggressive, and maybe intended as intimidation. The work itself was fine, but I wouldn't recommend them and think their ratings are inflated due to pressure tactics. read more
