They disassembled and wrapped all the furniture, moved and then reassembled everything. They made sure all furniture pieces were in the layout we wanted and were very polite throughout the process. It was a huge job and they were super efficient.

Got 4 movers for 1 bedroom, living room, and office space. Charlie, Marco, Richard, and Celso were great! They got it all moved to my apartment within 5 hours and three flights of stairs. Disassembled and assembled bed frame and couch. Would use again.

The entire team was very professional and courteous throughout the process. They made sure our items were placed back where we wanted them. All of our items were wrapped and handled with care.

These guys did an amazing job moving a ton of stuff. They packed the U-Haul perfectly and carried a ton of heavy stuff quickly and were so helpful getting everything organized and put exactly where we asked. We'd definitely use them again on every move.

I can honestly say this was the most seamless and professional moving experience I've ever had. From the very beginning, the process stood out. Elena was my first point of contact and was extremely sharp, responsive, and organized in getting everything scheduled. She coordinated an in-person survey, which no other company even offered, and that made a huge difference. Johnny then walked us through the process, gave us clear coaching on how to prepare, and set expectations that were spot on. Moving day was even more impressive. The trucks arrived extremely clean and fully branded, with all licensing and DOT numbers clearly displayed, which immediately gave me confidence that I was dealing with a legitimate, professional operation. The crew--Kenny, Tristan, Mike, Philip, James, and Arthur--were all big, strong, hardworking guys who clearly knew what they were doing. They showed up in full uniform with matching shirts and hats, all branded, and carried themselves professionally the entire time. Communication was clear, and everyone was focused and efficient. They came fully prepared with every tool and piece of equipment you could think of. Nothing was overlooked. All of our furniture was carefully wrapped and padded--true 360 protection on dressers, nightstands, bed frames, everything. Not a single item was scratched or damaged. We had some more complex items, including a heavy upright piano and multiple large TVs (85" OLED, 75" OLED Samsung), and they handled everything flawlessly. They brought proper TV boxes, protected everything correctly, and even mounted our television at the new place. Even though they don't typically handle packing last minute, they still accommodated us and helped with some light kitchen packing, which we really appreciated. They also placed all mattresses into mattress bags and kept everything clean and sanitary, including properly protecting the box springs. The loading process was impressive to watch--they were basically playing Tetris with the truck and maximizing space while still keeping everything safe and secure. The unload was even faster, and everything arrived exactly as it left. No damage, no issues--just smooth execution from start to finish. Overall, the job took less time than I expected, was completely stress-free, and exceeded every expectation. Every single person on the team was competent, professional, and took pride in their work. If you're looking for a moving company that is organized, licensed, detail-oriented, and truly cares about doing the job right, Movers By The Sea is the one. Absolutely a 5-star experience. Highly recommend. read more

After our fair share of sub par moving experiences here in San Diego, we took every recommendation with a grain of salt, but our contractors highly recommended Movers by the Sea, so we thought it was worth a shot! I'm happy to report that we had multiple excellent experiences with Movers by the Sea and highly recommend them! Immediately after we inquired about our move, we scheduled a walk through with John. He took stock of our moving needs and took thorough notes. Even though we didn't end up needing to move for months after our initial visit, they were ready as soon as it was go time. There are a few things that really stand out. 1) John was a consistent presence during our three moves in and out. Because we were moving for a renovation, this was extremely helpful. He was able to guide the guys to put everything back in the right spot and re-assemble anything that needed to be taken a part. It was so nice to not have to oversee every step of this process. 2) They were extremely careful. A few nicks here and there are always to be expected, but for the most part, our things were put back in the same condition they were moved in. I loved that when John directed movement, he had a really careful eye to potential hazards and ensured that everything was done with the utmost caution. 3) Scheduling was a breeze. Sometimes, our move required quick notice because of the nature of the project and they were always able to acomodate our moves. Great experience! read more

These guys are miracles! Heres my story: I had hired some other movers to load a truck and unload at my storage unit on saturday. I had to have everything moved out and the truck returned by sunday at 4 p.m. the movers were 2 1/2 hours late saturday so the gate was closed for the storage unit. They loaded half the truck, then said they would come the next day (sunday) at 10 a.m. to finish. Next day, 10 a.m. they didnt show. Storage closes at 4 p.m. By noon i was panicking. They werent answering their phone either and I had already paid them, too. I started attempting to pack on my own, but realized it was impossible. I started looking around for anyone who could help last minute. Movers By The Sea saved me! It was 1:45 p.m. 3 guys showed up. They jumped out of their vehicle and headed straight to my garage and started loading! Instantly, the truck was packed, the garage was empty, and they were sweeping up the garage! I couldnt believe it. We then went to the storage unit. Just my luck, there was construction going on and there was a cement mixer in front of the door. I started to stress. Before i could do anything, Johnny had already talked to the worker and the 3 of them lifted the cement mixer and relocated it, like it was no problem. I was mindblown. Next, we realized the elevator to the second floor (where my unit was) took a full 2 minutes to get to the top. It was also very small. I thought for sure this would take forever. These guys bypassed the elevator and carried everything up the stairs! The whole time, they all had smiles and positive attitudes, and kept my mind at ease. "Dont worry, buddy, we got you. No problem". 3:45 p.m., we were locking up the storage unit and i was able to return the truck in time as well. All 3 of them were so professional, quick, and positive about every aspect of this move, and handled all my stuff with care. Moving is a very stressful situation. However, these guys not only handle it quick and smooth, their positivity and friendliness relieves the stress of moving, too. I actually had fun! Thanks for everything guys. I will be recommending you to everyone and would give you 10 stars if i could. read more

I recently moved from Carlsbad to Encintas, Ca. Now I have probably moved over a dozen times in the past couple years, and have never really had a great experience with movers. I asked around and so glad I did because I found Beach City Movers. Even from the first call, I was impressed. The gentleman I initially spoke with was very friendly and helpful in getting to know what I needed. I had spoken with a couple competitors, and he quoted me less than the other 2 companies I contacted. On the day of the move, they showed up 15 minute EARLY (first time a mover has shown up early on one of my moves I think ever!). The manager, who I believe was the same guy I had spoken with before, was very professional in dealing with me and going though exactly what i needed done. After that, I was confident that this would be done properly. I moved into an older complex with a layout that made it impossible to bring my bed frame and mattress up the stairs. But instead of giving up and me having to fork out the dough for a new bed and installation costs, the two guys literally pulled my mattress and bed frame through the second story window on a pulley system they rigged up.Long story short, the move was completed ON TIME and all of my belonging were just as I left then. I HAPPILY paid the agreed amount, and even tipped the helpers a little extra for a job well done. I don't yelp to often, but this is a case where I had to. I dont usually write reviews, but feel it is important to share. We hired Movers by the Sea to relocate a single BBQ in a stone cabinet for a distance of 8 miles. I sent pictures in advance so they could see the item and send the number of people needed. When they arrived they could not figure out how to move the item. My husband made a recommendation how to move it but they said they would figure it out themselves. After an hour or so of trying to move it, they finally used my husbands suggestion and took 3 hours to move the unit, which they charged me for (total cost was $635.00). We provided some cut plywood so they could use it at the designated location to help them move it. After the move, they would not take the plywood away, saying they were movers not haulers and left the plywood at the designated location. I called the owner to let her know directly my frustration and she told me she was heading into an appointment and would call me back. I immediately received a phone call from the main person that was at the move, who says he was a co-owner and was asked to call me. When I told him that the first hour was unreasonable because they could not figure out how to move it, he argued with me and said he felt it was a joint effort and in fact he learned a lot from my husband. I already posted a review today about my Movers , Isaac & Omar and how great they were. I wanted to also do a review on the Company and another employee Elena. I have to let you know how thorough she is from the moment you call the company for a quote, to setting up the move on your desired date & time that is convenient for you, following up before your move and then again after everything is completed. Her genuine above & beyond customer service is why I chose to you this company for a second time in two months. I was going to be working out of state for two months and was needing to move from the current Studio I was in. So I had them put everything in storage for the first move. Before I finished working , I secured another Studio and arranged for them to do my second move while still out of state. I knew that just like the first move, they would complete this one stress free and also at such a reasonably lower rate than other movers I have used in the past. This company gives a level of customer service you just can't find anymore! I will use them again myself if necessary and will recommend to everyone. I really can't say enough about Johnny and his team of movers. I submitted a request for multiple quotes through Yelp to move a 250lb stand alone bathtub from my garage to my second story bathroom that was being remodeled. Once in the bathroom it had to be set in a tight alcove and dropped straight down over a pipe that stuck up out of the floor. Multiple companies either called or sent automated links to get quotes. Johnny was by far the most hands on, friendly and professional of the group. He had experience moving tubs and said he would need 6 guys for the job. It was more than I expected to be necessary and more than other moving companies suggested but when it was all done I definitely understood why it took that many to safely move the tub. You definitely want to be cautious because the tub, staircase and every part of the route to installation could be damaged on the slightest miscalculation. When they arrived they protected the tub and wall corners with moving blankets as a precaution and everything went off without a hitch. In the end they even stayed a bit longer while my contractor ran to the store to get a different length pipe for the installation. Highly recommend these guys! After 26 moves around the world I can tell you that Movers by the Sea has been the best moving company we have ever used. My corporate career had me move to Mexico, Brazil, Singapore, Australia and all over the United States to name a few locations. After a little research, I decided to hire Movers by the Sea to move us from Leucadia to Carlsbad this month. From my first phone call with Elena, I knew they were good. She was super efficient, and has a wonderful demeanor, which helps make a stressful activity a breeze. While the move was only 5 miles away as the crow flies, Max, Zachary, Derek and Chris were absolute professionals and worked without any breaks. They arrived on time, wrapped our furniture individually with plastic, then with new movers blankets and then again with plastic to ensure nothing was damaged. As a result of their excellence there wasn't a scratch on anything! They not only protected the furniture but also took the time to ensure nothing happened to either home during the process. Movers by the sea will not take responsibility for damaged that they caused in my hose. they damaged my brand new floor and refuse to pay to fix it.. when I called the owner was very rude to me on the phone and he hang up the phone on me. I would not use this company if i was you!!!! Dear Elena It doesn't matter who hired you your movers moved all the furniture out of my house and damaged my new floor you agreed to pay to fix it and now you changed your mind for no reason and your business partner was very rude to me and said that he will not do anything about it and used the words GOOD RIDDANCE and hang up the phone on me!!!! and you are not being honest about what you are saying you don't take concern seriously and always strive to act in good faith because if you did you would have take care of it and not be so rude on the phone!!! Juan and his assistant were very professional, fast, and extremely careful in picking up, delivering, unloading, and assembling the 2 reclining sofa couches I purchased from Costco. I gave them no notice and they were still able to accommodate my same day request within a few SHORT hours; start to finish. They are extremely polite, have excellent worth ethics, are contentious, reasonably priced and I felt bad because they did me a huge favor on such short notice, that I paid them a little extra (still beat the competition's pricing) and kept in contact with me start to finish. I HIGHLY recommend this company to everyone and will definitely use them in the future for all my delivery/moving needs. If I could, I'd give you a 100+ star rating. This was my first time hiring movers and Movers by the Sea was a highly positive experience. Johnny did a thorough walk-through prior to providing a quote. When I asked about steps we could take to save money, he easily pointed out a number of things we could do. We followed them to the letter and it truly made a huge difference. On the day of the move, Derek and his team showed up exactly on time. Since we had taken much of the furniture apart and staged items in the garage for ease of loading into their truck (as advised by Johnny), after 75 minutes the entire house was loaded and we were on our way. Unloading the just as simple as loading. The team worked quickly and efficiently. The entire five-person crew was friendly and sincerely seemed to enjoy working together. Jesse was easy to schedule with and answered a few questions a day or two prior to our move. Pricing was straight forward with no hidden fees. We moved from a two story 2,400 sq ft home in Carlsbad to a one story 2,700 sq ft home in Oceanside. Movers (Steph and Sebastian in the truck, Wolf in his car) arrived just before the 9am start time and started at exactly 9am. We've never seen a mover work harder than Steph...she was amazing, impressive and professional. Sebastian was hard working and extremely polite. Wolf was entertaining, but at times reckless and his (I assume) humor rubbed us the wrong way. Minor damage to walls which we can fix, but I wish it had been acknowledged. It took two trips to move the majority of our things. They left at 7:30pm (10.5 hours). We still had more to move out, but it was worth hiring Beach City and we would do it again in the future. read more

Let me start off saying, I am a hard critic. That I pay attention to detail and explain how I want things done and I want people to deliver if I'm spending my money for a service! ... These guys were great! I am pleased with the service I got today. I had Derek, John and Conrad as my movers... Derek was my favorite! Lol how childish of me to pick a favorite but I really like when you can just vibe with someone on a chill level. I found that today we were often on the same page, and I appreciated it. John seemed to be training Conrad as they went along. He has great leadership skills from what I saw. He's friendly and cool vibes too. Conrad was very well mannered and kind. OK these guys are the best. I have never seen a company with all 5 star ratings and they lived up to it. They provided first class service starting with Jessie coming to my place within an hour of my call to give me an estimate, to the final day of the move. Max, Austin and Adrian showed up on time and quickly and safely packed up all my furniture and belongings and then quickly moved them to their new home. These guys are friendly, professional and get the job done. They worked very hard and they all were sweating when they were done. I gave them a nice tip because they earned it. I requested a quote for a Studio size move (250 sq ft). The quote I received was very quick and much less expensive than their competitors. The move included two people, truck, supplies such as shrink wrap, tape. The guys were experienced and knowledgeable with what they were doing which kept the move to the estimated time quoted. They were also very careful in handling my belonging, staging in truck, transporting and unloading. Attentive to details such as disassembly of my bed, cabinets and making sure to put any hardware in zip lock bags and tape it to the prices they belong to. I would use them again and highly recommend this Company for a small or large move! Totally took the stress out of my move. read more

We had the pleasure of having Johnnie and David assist us with our move. We have moved fourteen times during our married life. These two are the best movers we have had in all of our moves. Specifically, they were professional, polite, hard working and had great attention to detail. They padded, shrink wrapped, and taped all of our very heavy wooden pieces prior to moving them down a flight of stairs and then down the sidewalk to load in our truck. They packed the load tight, used tie downs and the load travelled very well without shifting. Let me also state, the communication was excellent. Really great local company. From scheduling, to quoting to the actual move everything was great. They were up front with pricing (which was really reasonable) and the guys who moved us were all really friendly, efficient and professional. i moved from L A back to San Diego. i was very stressed out. but these guys took all that away. they took charge and were very fast and and careful. which i had experiance with another moving company, i had a bunch of chipped and and dented dressers. they were overall very professional and the rate was comparable to the rest. would definately recommend them to any of my friends. i had nothing broken. plus they helped me move some really heavy stuff out of my garage. like a drill press, belt sander, a car lift!!!, big air compressor and a gun safe. no damage to anything.would definately recommend them to any of my friends. they were life savers. read more

Beach City Movers helped us move a 4 bedroom home on July 15 and it was an excellent experience. We had 3 movers working with us: Stef, Sebastian, and Sean (team S!). They were very professional, friendly, and worked hard the entire time. We have a lot of stuff - some of it heavy - but they handled everything with no problems and positive attitudes. Our things were moved with zero damage and they used blankets/floor covers to protect the home/furniture. The price was excellent and the service we got was above and beyond.
