We had a big move -- from a large house into storage, and two months later from storage to our new home. I called the owner, Allen, after reading positive reviews and he was polite and professional as he assessed the job and gave us a reasonable quote. We had a 5-guy crew on our move-out day. They all introduced themselves and were very sweet-natured and polite. They went right to work and were incredibly fast and efficient. We had quite a few very heavy items -- stone and bronze live-size statues and bulky furniture -- and they moved them all, impressively, with care. Daniel was the crew leader and he was very friendly and easy to work with. He gave us the feeling of confidence that everything would be handled to our satisfaction and it was. His stellar crew was Pedro, Arslan, Alli, and Felipe. They filled up 2 large storage units for us and the manager of the facility had nothing but praise for this company. He said he had seen many, many movers and never anything like these guys for their efficiency. The second leg of our move was even faster than the first. They unloaded the 2 units and delivered into the house (including our huge statues), and had time to take some furniture to the consignment store for us, all before 7:00 pm. Daniel again did an amazing job as crew leader, and we we happy to see Pedro again as well as some new friendly faces: Asad, Baha, Sultan, and Mike. We were overall very impressed with their service, friendliness, efficiency and professional demeanor. We were also happy that they were half the price of some competitors. Worth the extra $$! Carlsbad Square recommended two movers for a (mostly) packed 1500 square foot home-to-storage move. Carlos and Raul showed up right in the middle of the one hour window they provided ahead of time, and they called me when they were about 30 minutes out. They worked diligently the entire time I saw them. I saw a couple other reviews complaining about broken. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that those reviewers packed their own property (improperly) and that's why it was broken. My movers were very conscientious and took their time to carefully wrap any items that appeared to be fragile. Also, when they reached the storage facility they demonstrated deity-level Tetris skills in getting the entire unit packed. Their hourly rate is high, arguably too high. I found a competitor who was $30/hr cheaper, which would have come out to a lot of savings on a job this long. However, I have to say that Carlsbad Square is worth the extra money due to their responsiveness, professionalism, and reliability. read more

I wanted to go with a local company. Carlsbad has such amazing independently owned restaurants, shops, and now moving company. Carlos and his crew were on fire. They came into our one level 1200 sq foot house and moved us into a 1900 sq foot three level house in the OC in lighting speed. His crew was personable, caring, super polite, and very focused. We did not need to do a thing but simply Coach the crew where to place our belongings. This local company really did a great job balancing good character with good practices. They came on time, prepared, and kept in close communication. The team worked very well together with no disfunction, what so ever. They made a big move feel seamless, but very important. We were very pleased at the efficiency, friendliness, and competency of the team that moved us yesterday from one location in Encinitas to another. Jose, Alfonso, and Alex quickly packed up their truck with our belongings at our previous location, and quickly unpacked it at our new location. They kept boxes that we needed first out so that they were packed last and then unpacked first and available for us, then loaded the rest of the boxes, and then the furniture (that they wrapped). They were safely masked throughout, and we were able to safely socially distance during the loading and unloading. They made sure we were happy with where everything was placed on move-in. Immediately upon reserving my move over the phone, I felt as if I was being handled professionally and courteously. I chose to call this company because the prices shown online looked competitive, so I was expecting standard, basic, average service. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. They exceeded my expectations by 1000%!!! Jose and Alonzo were my movers. They were punctual, efficient with their time, friendly, hard working but most importantly, they handled my furniture like it was precious cargo. Our moving plan with another company went awry. Carlsbad Square Moving came to the rescue on the very next day. We had a four-man team with Diego in the lead. We were very impressed with how professional and efficient this team was. No fussing about, if something was to be moved they picked they just did it, if it need to be disassembled, they were right on it . This was a big job, too, nearly ten hours from start to end. The team worked studiously for the entire time. They were careful in wrapping and preparing items for the transit. And everything was unpacked and put together at the destination. I'd like to thank Carlsbad Square Moving for making my recent move one of the smoothest moves ever. They were prompt, prepared, and friendly. Overall, I was very impressed. The movers gave me a window for their arrival. I assumed they would be at my place later than earlier since they had to battle morning rush hour. I was wrong! They factored morning rush hour into their schedule and arrived 20 minutes early! I was very impressed with their planning. They didn't have enough wardrobe boxes for clothing, I told them to bring 11, but they only brought 7. We have used CSM 3 times over the last 2 years. Each time, they did a fantastic job. They were on time and each and every person working on our move was professional, friendly and worked extremely hard. It was also apparent the team worked well together and respected their teammates. They were very careful with all of our belongings, taking measures to protect our furniture with moving blankets and various wraps. They were continuously working and only stopped for their lunch break. Their prices were fair and reasonable. Nick and Pedro were so awesome! They showed up right on time (and had called 30 minutes prior to let me know they were on the way) and made quick work of everything. They brought all the necessary moving supplies (blankets, tape, tools, wardrobe boxes) and made the whole move so easy. They were also so nice and patient with me deciding where to put all of my furniture! Everything arrived in perfect condition and was protected well during the drive. Moving is always so stressful and I always get worried the movers won't show up or aren't legitimate etc etc, but I would highly recommend Move Square! I was very pleased with the three man crew who helped me move from a storage unit into my new house. David, Sammy and Alex worked hard without stop. They were a good team who coordinated their efforts so the move was done as quickly as possible. Polite and good communicators. I was just moving boxes and furniture that was already wrapped, so cannot comment on their packing or unpacking abilities, but they were careful and treated my belongings with care. Our company needed some help with rearrangements within the office and CSM was the first place we called. We booked them for the following week and patiently waited. When the crew arrived, they did a quick walk through of the office to assure no damages when moving the items. They assisted us in re-arrangements numerous times until the layout of the room was to our needs and never complained or stopped working. This company is great and very affordable compared to other companies in SD. I found them on yelp and the guys did a great job. We had a heavy piano to move and the movers did an amazing job especially considering they had to take it down the stairs from our second floor apartment without an elevator. Norma, Nick, and Baha were great. Only three guys but they moved us in three hours. Very efficient and careful. They took a great care of our stuff and moved everything in very reasonable time.
