The movers came on time, were friendly professional, and most importantly: Fast. They didn't waste any time and I was surprised at how quickly they were able to empty my old apartment! Considering how fast they were, their service was a great value-for-time; and one I'd happily make again for my next move. read more

They did a great job. On time, professional, and they did literally all of the heavy lifting! They were also super efficient and didn't waste time at all. Plus they were patient when I had trouble with the gate at the destination. Great price too! Would definitely hire again read more

Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend Chief Moving! They made our moving job look effortless. Our new couch wouldn't fit up the stairs and needed to be hoisted over the second floor balcony to get it into our unit. They were true experts, moving quickly and efficiently like a well oiled machine. I reached out to multiple companies for quotes and theirs was one of the most reasonable. They were also able to squeeze us in the very next day after my inquiry! From their communication to their skill, I can't recommend this company enough! read more

I was nervous about hiring movers because friends have had horrible experiences in the past but these gentleman were absolutely amazing! They were kind, friendly and very communicative about arrival time and expectations for the moving process. They were spot on with my estimated quote. I had almost everything packed up and organized so they were able to quickly get it down to the truck even with an upstairs apartment. If you're considering hiring movers look no further. These gents are completely worth it to make your move a little less stressful! read more

These guys helped me move around furniture and storage boxes during a remodel. They even put together my bed. Great guys, would use again. Super friendly and helpful. Reasonable pricing and fast service and responses. read more

Overall decent moving experience. Everything made it from point A to point B in one piece. Had a scheduled time of 10am (window was til noon). Didn't hear anything from the movers and had to call them myself at 1145 until I got an answer. They informed me they would be slightly late, closer to one. Again didn't hear anything until after 1 that they would arrive at 130. Seemed unprofessional that they didn't call me prior. Did give me a discount, $15 for being an hour and a half late with no warning. Move was fine, probably wouldn't go through this company again. read more

We were very happy with our movers and the process (separate from the fact that moving sucks!) The team, Diego, Alfonso and Ernie, were friendly, efficient and professional. They were working the whole time and never made us worry that they were dragging things out to extend the time. In fact, they came in under the estimate, which was awesome. Everything made it to our new house in good condition. Thanks guys! read more

Friendly, efficient, professional. Couldn't be happier. I don't have much to say, but u need 85 characters.

We had a fantastic experience with this moving team! They helped transport one built-in fridge to a buyer and moved in our new built-in fridge that weighed over 750 lbs. The team showed great teamwork, arrived early and handled everything efficiently and with care. They were also extremely courteous and professional throughout the process. Highly recommend them for any heavy or specialty moves; they made a tough job look easy! read more

I would definitely recommend Chief Moving! A co-worker recommended them to me and everything went better than expected. Diego and Ernie were on time, had great communication, worked efficiently and got the job done faster than I anticipated. It was my first time hiring someone to help with a move, and recently after helping my parents move and witnessing the lack of hustle with another company--Diego and Ernie were a pleasant contrast! The value was definitely there for me. read more

I would highly recommend Chief Moving. The movers were punctual, professional and efficient. Ernie and Diego were pleasant, energetic and new how to pack a truck. My daughter's apartment was upstairs and that did not slow them down. read more

Chief Moving helped me move from San Diego to Borrego Springs on Labor Day weekend of 2024, and they were 5 star service. The guys were professional and friendly, and I was more than happy to give them a fat cash tip and some adult beverages for when they got off of work. Now that I'm done renting in Borrego Springs, and actually purchasing in Borrego Springs, I reached out to see if they could help me move again. I wanted to reward their excellent service with more business. Unfortunately, I was advised that since the move is just within Borrego Springs and "it's about a 2 hour drive and back from San Diego" that they weren't really interested in my business. Needless to say, I ended the call rather quickly after that. What an entirely unprofessional way to go about it. A white lie of, "We no longer service the Borrego Springs area," would have gone over MUCH better rather than the general vibe of your-move-isn't-worth-my-time. read more

Imagine this: just a couple of days before Thanksgiving, you find yourself in urgent need of someone to pick up and deliver three furniture items from a nearby store--within 24 hours. Not exactly the kind of job most moving companies would find appealing, right? After hours of calling around, I finally connected with David. While others insisted on a minimum three-hour fee just to show up, David stood out with his reasonable approach and genuine understanding of my situation. He worked with my budget and, even when faced with furniture that turned out to be much larger and heavier than anticipated, he followed through without hesitation. David and his team are reliable, friendly and hardworking. I'll definitely be recommending them to all my friends and neighbors. read more

Gio, Julio, and Diego were phenomenal! Really hustled and got things done. I've moved quite a few times and they are by far the best movers I've ever hired. From the moment they arrived, they introduced themselves, did a walk through and immediately got to work. I would highly recommend Chief Moving. read more

I am just blown away at the dependability and time sensitivity of this moving company. I called Angel the day before I needed a hospital bed moved from San Diego to Phoenix. He gave me an excellent quote and even cleared his schedule to get the bed delivered the next day for my very ill mother. I am so appreciative. This bed was a monster to move and we didn't think we could move it. Yet it is an essential for my mom. Chief Moving came to the rescue in a big way! I would not hesitate to call them again. What a great experience. These guys are the real deal. Thank you Angel and Chief Moving. read more

Great movers they took good care of all my furniture and got things done in a timely matter !! I would highly recommend chief moving.

I just used Chief Moving for my move (5 BR to 5 BR) in North County and they were fantastic. To start, they responded very quickly with a fair quote that was easy to understand. Then, they showed up on time and ready to go with all the equipment needed to get the job done. Angel, Gio and the guys wrap everything and take care of your stuff at all times but are also incredible fast. Each of their team of friendly and professional with a consistent and high motor. They divide up the work with great focus but are always there to help with anything you need. Angel even put my garage fridge on Offer Up for me! I give Chief Moving my highest recommendation and if you're moving in the San Diego area they should be your first choice. read more

PHENOMENAL! I have lived at 20+ different addresses as an adult and have used professional movers each time I've moved. The last three times I moved I had horrible experiences with movers that were complacent, slow and unfriendly. Diego, David and Ernie were quick, efficient, FRIENDLY, and just all-around amazing! They were able to effortlessly hoist my sofa from the 3rd floor balcony to the ground floor in one attempt. Chief Moving will forever be my go-to movers in the future. I highly recommend. read more

I scheduled a move with them a week out and they gave me a 2pm-5pm slot for moving. They called me at 1:52pm to say they would be running late and would arrive between 3-4pm. They did not show during that time. At 4:45pm they call me and inform me they are on their way and will be there in an hour. If I wasn't in a crunch to get moved I would of cancelled their services right then and there. The movers didn't show up until 6pm. Didn't finish until after 9pm. They ended up knocking over plants and other decorations of my new neighbors. No apologies for showing up late. Didn't even acknowledge they messed up the neighbor's stuff. I would not recommend and will not use again read more

Go, Sylvester, and Diego made quick work of hoisting a big couch up to the 2nd floor balcony and placing it in the living room, stress free, great value and very friendly guys. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Communicative, efficient and friendly! Movers arrived within the designated timeframe and had my place (small 1 bedroom with most boxes already packed and a few larger pieces of furniture) loaded in about an hour. The final price was right in line with their quote. I appreciated the automated email reminders and the crew contacted me the night before and morning of to keep me updated. They unloaded the truck at my destination quickly and organized everything in the rooms well. I would hire them again. Thank you! read more

We hired them for two long-distance moves and both were great experiences. The crew was available for us on a quick timeframe and were professional, fast, and efficient. Their prices were reasonable as well, lower than several other moving companies in the area who quoted us. I would recommend Chief Moving to anybody moving locally or long distance. Great crew! read more

A++++++ David, Sylvester and Diego did a fantastic job delivering our very large, very heavy 950 lb safe!!! Not only that, they kept us laughing the whole time. I called one day and they delivered the next day. They were very reasonably priced, providing us a fixed price for the move. Sometimes moving things can be a bit stressful but the guys kept us entertained. Could not have asked for better service!! read more

They were punctual and worked hard and got the job done as well as being really nice and helpful. Our experience was just great and I highly recommend Chief moving read more

Very expensive for the quality of service. The final price was well over the quote with hidden fees. I do not recommend.

Second time using their service in two years. They're extremely professional and very affordable. I plan to continue to use their services any time I need to move and will definitely be referring other people who need help. read more

Diego and James helped us move into our new home. They were very fast , very courteous, was very open to helping us move things around even after they were done. We are not good about asking for extra, but they made us feel "at home" and made us feel comfortable as clients. The pricing was also very competitive. read more

These guys are the best. They moved some very difficult items for me--a baby grand piano, treadmill, and they even met me at the CB2 warehouse in Vista to pick up a new sofa I purchased. From beginning to end, the team was incredibly responsive, competent, professional, and friendly. And most of all, craaazy efficient. All of my items were very well wrapped and carefully handled throughout the process. I would recommend Chief Moving to anyone looking to move anywhere (I only moved 20 minutes away) who wants a hassle-free and seamless experience with a fantastic company. read more

This company is honestly amazing. Extremely professional, easy to contact and responded to my quote request right away. They showed up on time and we're so extremely quick that they finished moving before I was done packing some items. The two guys were friendly and we're holding a conversation while packing super quickly. They took apart my bed frame and even put it back together at the new location. I just couldn't believe how quick they were even when I lived upstairs. One of the guys even hauled a tv stand down the stairs by himself. Just lifted it up and went! Amazing!! I've recommended this company to multiple people already. You have to hire these guys!! It was well worth it all. Thanks Chief!! read more

Used them twice now. Have had no complaints thus far! Employees do the work efficiently and are super helpful!

Wow, wow, wow! We have heard horror stories about moving companies and found comfort that Chief moving had so many 5 star reviews. We did a big out of state move and Alonso and his guy were by far the best we could have ever asked for. The communication leading up to the move was great and everything was so easy, almost too good to be true, but it was all true. The guys arrived and wrapped up our stuff so well and took so much care handling our items. We were paying them by the hour to load and they hustled. We both headed out for our 18+ hour drive out of CA and stayed in communication along the way. Upon arrival the guys unloaded all of our items and helped unwrap and place things in the proper place. Everything was in perfect shape. Did I mention they had the most competitive prices - by far! What stood out most was the positive attitudes and work ethic, our crew was so pleasant to be around. We will recommend to all of our friends for in state or long distance moves! read more
