WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER!!! THIEFS!!! DO NOT USE THEM!! We used MSJ for our move on June 29th 2024. The estimate they gave me was for $5,500 to $6,500 and the final bill came out to $11,400!!! On top of that, they didn't even finish the move and left large items that didn't fit in the truck at our old house. Now I need to get another truck to finish the job. On top of that they damaged the following items: 1. Broke 85" TV 2. Damaged 2 cribs that they shoved through door frame. 3. Stained our recliner. So many other issues. They stopped responding after the card was charged. They didn't honor the insurance policy when they damaged items. When they damaged the tv at the house the response was. "You can't even really tell" and "you can buy a new one on eBay" The company offers people money to remove bad reviews. read more

I have used MSJ in the past 2 other times and had no issues with the moving or setup of my moving date. This last experience was completely different. First off, it took me 3 phone calls before I was able to get someone to return my call just to get a date booked. Once I did receive a call back I was verbally told they would be there on my desired date but did not receive an email confirmation and was NEVER quoted a price. I figured it would be in the ballpark of my last moves by them but was never officially told anything or got confirmation via email. Luckily, the guys showed up on the day I requested. The two guys they sent were great, but they told me my move was a 3-man job and they only sent 2, which would basically take them longer, and by fault means I would be charged more for their time. They apologized to me multiple times for the lack of help and how much extra time it was going to take. We had all boxes packed up and ready ti go. As time went on they told me if my move got into 8+ hours, it would be double time charge. Again, contributed to lack of man power. My family and I ended up helping load and unload stuff off the truck in hopes to not hit the 8 hour time limit. (The whole point of hiring movers is to not do the heavy lifting!) mind you, this was a 2 bedroom apartment we were moving from, not a full home and it still took right up to the 8 hour mark with the help of 5 people from my family. After the move was done, we paid and I asked for a receipt. I was sent a picture of a computer screen via text with no breakdown of hourly rate/gas charge/ ect. Just what I paid on the bottom and that was it. I called the MSJ office a day or two after the move and asked to talk to a manager to pass along my experience in hopes this does not happen with another customer. The lady who answered was nice and said she took notes and would have someone call me back to talk to me, it's been over a week and have not received a call back. Looks like it's hard to book a move with them and once they get your money, no responses either. Sorry, but I will not be using this company again. read more

The character of a company becomes apparent not when everything goes well but when it doesn't. MSJ delivered a sofa (31x36x80) that was too large to fit through the 28" door but would fit through the window. Johnny, however, insisted that he could make it fit. The damage to the door was slight but documented with before and after photos. Stu, the owner, when notified said in an email that he called; but there was no record on my phone. He then said he would call, but never did. In response to seeing photos , he said that it was impossible for the damage to have been done during delivery and suggested that I had done it myself but hadn't noticed. I recently purchased a new bedroom set and sofa from Real Deal Furniture and had a great experience with their delivery service MSJ. The furniture was delivered within the allotted two hour window as well as received a call 30 minutes prior to their arrival. Both Mol and Ethan were very curiosity and friendly and provide the best white glove service by setting up my furniture, asking me where I wanted it placed and then made sure everything was cleaned-up prior to leaving my home. You guessed it. I was moving and I needed some muscle and a truck. I found these guys in Angie's List who had reasonable rates, didn't charge extra for Sat, and worked with me on a late morning time (8am?? I am sooo not a morning person). The two guys, I think they were Jason and Jason, showed up on time, were quick to load the truck, took professional care as not to break or damage anything and didn't even bat an eye when I told them the couch would have to be tossed over the back fence as it didn't fit through the front door. No surprises when it came to the bill, I was charged slightly less than quoted :) I would recommend these guys for anyone looking for movers. read more

I hired MSJ to unload a POD (and move into my new apartment in San Diego) from my move from Texas and was extremely pleased with every step of the process from scheduling the appointment to the final assembly of the beds, and other furniture. Fernando and Alex were my team members who were extremely professional throughout the unloading/loading/unloading process. They called in advance on the morning of the move to confirm; showed up on time; and worked non-stop from the get-go -- actually even running back and forth from the truck to the elevator staging area in my building. We had such a good stress-free experience with them that for our second move we also hired them to pack for us as well. Fernando, Vance, Byron, Brian, Miles, Spencer, Alex, Nate and Andre were amazing. They were efficient, punctual and fast, all while being polite and friendly. Andre, Asa and Gary were the best! They took excellent care of our furniture and were very expedient in the process. We had a lot of stairs and they never complained once, our last movers complained the whole time. At first, I thought they were a little pricey, but we got what we paid for and more. Who likes moving? I know I don't. Well, my wife hired MSJ Delivery through Angies List to ease our burden and it was our first time using them (won't be the last). We were moving from a large home 4,000 sq ft to an equally large home. I've moved around in my past years and I have to say MSJ did a fantastic job from the get go. From communicating to showing up on time to moving us to our new home MSJ did a great job. We had no idea what to expect and when we saw the crew show up they looked a little young and to be honest I was a little worried. However, Asa the supervisor spoke to us and gave us the game plan for the day and he assured us everything would go well with the utmost professionalism and he wasn't lying. The crew which was made up of Asa, Andre, Brian, Junior, and Robert did a fantastic job.They worked their tails off for over 14 hours without ever complaining and throughout the day were in good spirits. Asa, kept the team in high spirits with his humor and the team constantly communicated with us. Brian even gave us some decorating tips which actually helped out. As I sit here typing this in our new living room I can say Brian was instrumental in giving us the idea for the set up. Thanks Brian! I can't say enough about these guys and their professionalism and dedication. We felt comfortable with the crew and we even bought them lunch for working so hard. MSJ should feel very lucky to have that crew as part of their team. They picked up everything we wanted and were even kind enough to gather a few items they thought we might have left behind. This is the second time we needed help moving in the past year. We hate moving, but MSJ Delivery made the experience as smooth as possible. Tina was a tremendous help in setting up the move and explaining the details. On the morning of the move, Carlos, Brian, and Miles arrived as planned ready to work! They were friendly and helpful (disconnected cables from my TV, removed the doors from my refrigerator, etc.). They wrapped all the furniture and were extremely careful. When they arrived at our new home, they reassembled the refrigerator, hooked up the washer/dryer, and placed furniture exactly where we asked. The best part of the move was that everything arrived in the exact condition that it left our old location with not a single scratch by the movers. My mother found MSJ based on these reviews, so I am here to write a review to accurately reflect the quality of service for what it is. They were over 30 min late, refused to place fragile items in the locations requested, and overcharged for the estimate previously provided. Over $2,000 in damaged goods resulted and I do not recommend anyone go with them for service. I will be posting pictures and timed evidence of damage as well. I highly recommend going with self-storage rather than the poor quality of care and service this company provides for such a high price. read more

Robin and the other two movers were on time meeting me at UFO (Upholstery Fabric Outlet) to pick up my reupholstered furniture. They were able to load and unload the rather pricey antique sofa, chairs, love seat and foot stool without damage or difficulty. They moved those pieces into my home just as I directed and also unloaded a PODS storage container into my garage. This is a company that was on time, fast at unloading furniture, and careful with my prized antique and vintage items. Wonderful family friends referred us to MSJ Delivery as they'd used them numerous times. From the first call with Carlos, I knew we'd made the right decision. He clearly communicated costs and scheduling and assembled a first-rate team for our tricky move--from 4,900 sq ft to 1,700 sq ft!
