Post booking, I called their office a few days before the move and they walked me through everything super easily too. Best of all wanna shoutout the actual movers: max and nic. They were communicative and it felt like a true team effort for the 4 hours we worked together. Recommend this service to anyone in the area!

First of all I want to express how thankful I am for The Rock Movers…read more Being a full-service moving company, I needed someone to help me pack AND move due to a recent injury crippling me right before I was scheduled to move. Their reliability and ease of setting up the packing and move when I was not even able to be present and the timing was truly helpful. It was more expensive than I had ever paid for movers, even without the packing, and that's honestly why I could not give them full 5 stars. As a military member going through an honorable discharge to help my family in crisis while already injured myself, I had to empty out my own savings and my children's I had saved up over a 9-month deployment in the combat zone to move back to my family when they needed my help, not even sure if I could then provide for them. So while I really thank them for the job they did, I never financially recovered from that and I do ask Rock Movers to consider the vets or military members in San Diego and to complete a weight estimate for them to be reimbursed.

Was moving several hours north after selling house due to husbands sudden death…read more 24/7 was the only moving company i contacted who actually gave me a quote online. all the rest wanted more info or gave reasons why it would cost more to move. Booked 24/7 to do the work. They showed up on the scheduled day about 8:30 am and we did a walk thru, showing them what was going and what was not. moving from a 4 bdrm to a 2 bdrm takes some downsizing. They started right in, wrapping, filling boxes and moving them out to the truck. Taking apart the furniture that needed it and moving it out to the truck. They are definitely good at their job. It took them till 10:30 at night to get it all packed and stowed in the truck. They were prompt on delivery day too. Showed up at 9 am . started unloading and putting together furniture and placing it where requested. Took till 4pm before they were finished with their part of unpacking . Great job! I highly recommend this company. They are prompt, polite and very good at their job.

The person who booked us was very responsive and answered all our questions. The movers they sent were friendly and handled our stuff with care. I honestly despise moving and I can't comprehend how these guys do it on a daily basis. Worth every penny to not have to do it ourselves.

We used San Diego Moving & Packing for a local move and had a great experience…read more I went in with a goal of keeping it close to three hours. We didn't quite hit that, but at no point did it feel like anyone was wasting time. The crew hustled the entire job. They listened to how I wanted to prioritize the move. We focused on large furniture first, got all the key items handled, then worked through the rest. Communication was constant. They asked questions, followed direction, and adjusted quickly without any pushback. The team was professional the whole time. No hesitation, even with heavy items or sending things upstairs. Everything was wrapped appropriately, not overdone, just done right. Nothing was damaged, and they were careful with walls and flooring throughout. We had discussed heavier items and drive time ahead of time, and everything was handled fairly. No surprises. I also compared pricing beforehand, and their rate of $199/hour (cash) plus the $60 truck fee was in line with what I was seeing. We ended up at about 3 hours 45 minutes total and paid $825, which felt great for the level of effort and coordination involved. Every move is different, but there were no surprises. Vladimir, Dima, Greg, and Aibek were a great team. They worked hard, communicated well, and stayed professional throughout. Overall, a hardworking, professional crew that provides solid value and takes care of your belongings. I would definitely recommend them.

I would have given them five stars. The only thing that stopped me was I moved literally 2 miles away and for some reason they disappeared for about 40 minutes. Everything was already on the truck. Still happy with them how they took care of my furniture. The price ended up being $100 maybe a bit more than I expected because of the time it took them to come over I would still use them again..

This is my fourth time using movers and this was the most seamless. He sent the quote with the initial estimate. Moving on to the actual move. The communication from the team was great. There were no hidden fees, what was quoted was what I paid. I would highly recommend Sunshine moving. If I move again they will be the ones I call. Thank you again guys for your hard work. Update: I was contacted by Madi, our original estimator who said that I was charged in error for…read morethe bulk item fee and for extra drive time. He spoke to the mover who was assigned to our project and corrected him. I appreciated his attitude and willingness to make it right. He said it was not their company's practice to add last minute charges but sometimes a few of their moving guys act on their own accord to add charges. He apologized and refunded me and offered to refund the tip as well (which I elected not to do). ----------------------------------- We used this company after getting quoted in advance using a video meeting with Mark. We were moving within the same zip code (2 miles away) and their quote was reasonable and similar to others. They were willing to send 3 guys which some companies won't do (they only send 2 or 4 so they can partner up). This company seems to use a bid low and then bait and switch strategy. The movers were in the middle of the moving an empty 8 drawer dresser and the lead guy decided it was heavy. After they moved it, he came to me and told me there would be a bulky item charge of $150 for this item. I asked what defined a bulky item and he said it was just very heavy and said they had to take it down the steps (all of which were discussed in advance and even listed out in our contract). During the quote, I was told by this company and others that same zip code quotes (we moved 3 miles approx 12 min driving on the day of the move) would not have double drive time added to the quote, but at the end the moving team insisted this was not the case if they drove more than 15 min. He insisted he would have to charge me double for drive time (rounded up first and then doubled). I think he kept the drive timer running to get over 15' min then they claimed they have to double the drive time. They rounded 16 min up to 30 min and then doubled it so I was charged for 60 min of drive time when in fact it was 12 or so. He said it was in the terms and conditions which he had me sign on his iPhone at the beginning of the move without giving me the chance to read any of the text. At the end of the move I just wanted to be done with it, so I didn't argue too much, but the fact that they essentially added $500 or so of various extras was pretty infuriating. The driver then insisted that I should tip them. We have moved 3 times within San Diego in the last 10 years, so I have some point of comparison and I would look elsewhere. If you choose this company, make sure you account for a couple hundred extra to the quote since they will find a way to do that. The service was decent. The guys worked decently hard but not particularly fast. They were not super careful when wrapping and moving, but nothing got majorly damaged. We did end up with some wall nicks in our brand new place.

He started by telling me he needed to pack the TV in boxes and would charge me extra. Which I replied to by telling him he can cover with a blanket and Saran Wrap, which he ended up doing. But not after arguing. I called my fiancé to come speak to them as I felt uncomfortable, my fiancé asked him about his attitude and comments, and he quickly retracted, saying he only gets paid $20 per hour. Why is this my business when I'm getting charged $85/hr? My fiancé then asked if he had any issues with the move that we could just cancel all together. Elmurod never replied, but they proceeded with the move. During the six hours they were there, Elmurod was constantly on his phone. They eventually called a third person to help them move. However, upon arriving at our new house, Elmurod said he couldn't move our couch upstairs, it had the same layout as our previous home. We asked Elmurod and the extra mover to try and move the couch, and the other guys said they would. Not only did Elmurod demanded us to pay each man a $50 tip, but he also wanted to be paid upfront, even though they hadn't completed the job. We asked Elmurod to please work on the couch as the final item to be moved. To our surprise, while we waited for them, they simply left and let our couch in the garage and other furniture with our door open. As well as a bunch of packing trash behind. When I contacted their manager I been getting the run around, I shared photos of damaged furniture and shared the additional $190 I had to pay to get our couch moved upstairs. Still no reply and no resolution. I will be filling a claim. Furthermore, our dining table and chair got damaged during the move, even though you pay additional for their insurance they won't honor it. They contacted me and refused to provide a refund for additional movers to complete the move of the left over furniture and also stated they wouldn't provide any money back due to me leaving a negative review.
