I used the project section on Yelp to send out a mass quote request and Butbee Moving were the first to respond in under 5 minutes. In comparison to many other companies I spoke with, they had the best pricing, the kindest and most thorough responses to my questions, straight forward pricing, had the minimum of 3 hours we needed and a large 26/27 foot truck. They showed up, got right to work and wrapped all the fragile items and got them ready to stay in long term storage. They were super friendly, clean, smart and strategic and very careful with all items. I recommend them to anyone looking for movers in the area. I will definitely be using their services again on my next move. 5 star service! read more

DO NOT BOOK!! They changed the times and were ultimately changing the dates, when they finally sent someone..Elmurod, arrived with another mover, he was incredibly rude. He started by telling me he needed to pack the TV in boxes and would charge me extra. Which I replied to by telling him he can cover with a blanket and Saran Wrap, which he ended up doing. But not after arguing. I called my fiancé to come speak to them as I felt uncomfortable, my fiancé asked him about his attitude and comments, and he quickly retracted, saying he only gets paid $20 per hour. Why is this my business when I'm getting charged $85/hr? My fiancé then asked if he had any issues with the move that we could just cancel all together. Elmurod never replied, but they proceeded with the move. During the six hours they were there, Elmurod was constantly on his phone. They eventually called a third person to help them move. However, upon arriving at our new house, Elmurod said he couldn't move our couch upstairs, it had the same layout as our previous home. We asked Elmurod and the extra mover to try and move the couch, and the other guys said they would. Not only did Elmurod demanded us to pay each man a $50 tip, but he also wanted to be paid upfront, even though they hadn't completed the job. We asked Elmurod to please work on the couch as the final item to be moved. To our surprise, while we waited for them, they simply left and let our couch in the garage and other furniture with our door open. As well as a bunch of packing trash behind. When I contacted their manager I been getting the run around, I shared photos of damaged furniture and shared the additional $190 I had to pay to get our couch moved upstairs. Still no reply and no resolution. I will be filling a claim. Furthermore, our dining table and chair got damaged during the move, even though you pay additional for their insurance they won't honor it. They contacted me and refused to provide a refund for additional movers to complete the move of the left over furniture and also stated they wouldn't provide any money back due to me leaving a negative review. read more

Used them for a second time bc first time was ok. Although price is reasonable, there was supposed "miscommunication" going back and forth through message about price afterwards. No where did the conversation say the price agreed upon was for cash only but apparently now it is. Day of at end of move, the price changed. Even though I double checked with them about pricing multiple times. After the move I simply asked for an itemized receipt or breakdown of pricing bc it wasn't adding up correctly for the amount of time and price agreed upon. NEVER got that btw. The ONE and only request i made again was for carpet protection bc i had just cleaned our carpets at the new place but they didn't come prepared for that despite making sure. That's the second time. Your service will depend on whoever they hired to help you. One of my items was damaged (not that severe but just letting you guys know and no compensation or anything). This team wasn't as efficient as the last two people hired. No sense of urgency, always asking for water (which i gave), disappearing for some time or on call. It was to a point where I stepped in to help do whatever i can which I believe defeats the purpose of hiring people. Although overall, the move was completed. The person communicating with me was going to have the small refund that i never got be taken out of the mover's pockets also btw. Never heard that of a business and I never asked of that nor do i respect it. i've tried communicating with them, giving a month to resolve this but was given snarky responses, attitude and being left on read. I'd look elsewhere for a more professional team. I can't believe the responses I was given and how this was handled. read more

Great experience. They came on time and were super clean, prompt, and quick. I had a box that needed repacking and they helped. They stuck to the hours quoted (I did have my stuff packed up though really well). I highly recommend them. read more

I recently hired Butbee for my move, and I couldn't be more pleased with the service. From start to finish, the entire experience was seamless. The team was professional, friendly, and efficient. They took care in handling all my belongings, ensuring everything was transported safely. The movers worked quickly but carefully, making sure nothing was damaged during the entire process. Even though this was a small move the last time I used them it was much larger and both times were top notch. read more

Though in writing & in text, they back out of moving agreement. I had been completely upfront with my needs, we agreed on a flat rate, including any additional materials needed to complete. I am a disabled person who needed a little extra help with packing/moving. They showed up unprepared and did not fulfill their part of agreement. The gentleman who did show did a great job & I was ok with their request for funds for the days work. Next morning woke to message saying they would not be showing to complete, they felt they had fulfilled their obligations & I'd have to find another moving company. They placed me in a very stressful position as I had one day to vacate my old place. I chose the company because of the 5 rating + the reviews but now thinking they may have filtered those. That old saying "if it's too good to be true" it probably is. read more

Nick, Max and Marat were polite and respectful to us and our property. Nick called to let us know they were running a little late from their last job. I appreciated the communication. We have a lot of stuff. If our box labels weren't obvious, they made sure to ask which room to place it. They worked very hard into the night and didn't stop until they got the job done. I would hire them again read more

Mission Impossible made possible! They did it! Had a fridge that would not fit through the walkway or back door entry way. They were able to safely get it through the bar opening between my living room and kitchen. They were carful not to scratch the counter on the bar. They provided me with a fair price, equal and less than other competitors. Came in with a great attitude. Finally cold beer! Thank you! read more

Moving days have been some of the most stressful days of my life. When I needed to schedule a last-minute move, I felt overwhelmed. Russell quickly responded to my inquiry and provided all the details I needed. He made me feel confident that Butbee was the right choice. From start to finish, I could not have asked for a better experience. Gregory and Chingiz are a stellar team. They had great communication, handled my belongings with care, and moved quickly. Incredible Moving Experience - Fast, Efficient & Careful! I can't recommend Butbee enough! We had a truly massive move, and their team of four movers handled it with absolute ease. From start to finish, they were fast, efficient, and incredibly thoughtful in how they worked. I've never seen a team wrap furniture and fragile items as well as they did--it was truly impressive. They packed everything into the truck so strategically that not an inch of space was wasted, ensuring everything arrived safely. Despite the size of the job, they worked quickly and seamlessly, never cutting corners but still getting everything done in record time. I'm beyond grateful for their hard work and professionalism. Local San Diego moving request experience was great. They were very prompt in responding to several questions that I had initially and during the process. I was not at the residence but my daughter and husband had a wonderful experience. They were all professional, efficient and timely. Quality of work and value go hand in hand so I would say their performance speaks for their value. They are within the range of other moving company but in terms of cost. We will consider them again for future moves. read more

Had availability when I called a week ahead. Arrived on time, worked efficiently. Were willing to move fragile items like my TV even though I didn't have a box, which was not the case with the moving company I hired for my last move. Didn't waste time disassembling and reassembling furniture but still took great care not to damage things. Our movers' English was limited but we were able to figure everything out without much difficulty. read more

I contacted lots of movers for my recent move. Butbee was the first to respond and also the best price. I was a little skeptical because they were so much less than the other quotes. But YOLO, right? The crew was on time, and helpful. They planned things out well, and made sure that they were efficient. They wrapped all of the furniture, asked questions when they were unsure, and importantly, they were FAST. And when the charge is hourly, that's important. They moved the furniture for an entire 3 bedroom house in 4 hours. That's incredible. Butbee...silly name, serious moving. read more
