I've been following EggBred on IG for a long time but could never make it out to their La Habra location during breakfast hours. So when they announced that they were opening shop in my home city, I was elated. Today I treated myself and went for the mouthwatering Scramble Me Softly (added sausage) and a blood orange juice. The eggs were perfectly soft scrambled - Gordon Ramsay would approve. The milk bread was soft and slightly toasted. Sausage was flavorful. Throw on some melty cheese and caramelized onions, and you have a perfect breakfast sammy. What was the real surprise? The salsa verde! Perfect kick of spice with balanced acidity. Who needs the other brands (yes, they have packets of the usual suspects) when you have the scratch made stuff that is so much better? The only downside is parking, but it's worth circling around to find a spot. They also were doing lots of take out orders and use Toast Tab, so you can always grab and go. They had indoor and outdoor seating available. Thank you for coming to the LBC!! (I am salivating just recapping my experience.) read more

Ordered 45 minutes ahead online. Got there 15 minutes before pick up time. There were 4 people and none had any idea about my order. They went on to make it- 20 minutes later and 5 minutes past promised time. Bacon , egg, potatoes, burrito for $15 with tip. I understand by their menu that it said soft eggs- But the entire burrito was like eating a cottage cheese burrito. There was NOTHING distinguishable from egg to potato to bacon. I don't think there was any potato or bacon. Just a poorly made late waste of money and time wanna be burrito read more

Accompanied by a grapefruit juice and apple juice, these meals were super filling! The first time I tried EggBred was at the location in Huntington Beach and I was I left beyond satisfied. From the service to the atmosphere, everyone was great! My only regret was not getting a side of the avocado sauce for my burrito however now that I know this is the closest location to me, I will be going more often and making sure I don't make that mistake again! I can't wait to try different things on the menu. read more

I got the sausage burrito, and oh my God, it was so good! The burrito is huge definitely big enough for two people to share. It made up for my previous visit when I wasn't a fan of the Scramble Me Soft sandwich. I can't wait to come back and try more burritos! Today's service was excellent, and the restaurant was clean. However, I did notice during my last visit that it can get a bit stuffy inside. Adding more air ventilation would make the experience even better. read more

Very disappointed with my experience at Eggbred. My order said it was ready at 10:19, but it's now 10:54 and I'm still waiting for my food. If the order isn't actually ready, the app shouldn't say that it is. Waiting over 30 minutes after receiving a "ready" notification is frustrating and unacceptable. read more

Food : Food was amazing and delicious! 10/10. I got a Black Forest ham breakfast burrito and it was soooooo good. Also got the ribeye sandwich, also tasty! I will definitely be coming back to try the other things on the menu. Service : Food took a while and I went on a non busy day. Literally only like 6 people in there. But it's okay! Ambiance : lots of seating area, inside and outside. read more

Sitting here waiting for my online order that was supposed to be ready 25 mins ago. The manager who says he's not working today walking around telling us not to wait in line and just be patient and when it's ready they'll put it out but he can't tell us how long it will be because he's not working.... I hope the food is good because the recent reviews say that the food quality has declined. I used to love the burritos here and was craving one but not sure we'll be back after today's encounter.ok update. I just got home. Missing the potatoes and the burrito is wrong!!! I ordered vegetarian burrito because I don't eat meat and this has bacon read more

Went to check out EggBread on their opening day. I was brightly greeted by the yellow themed colors. The logo is a yellow eggyolk on a slice of bread and white font on yellow banner that says Craft Breakfast Sandwiches. This place in Long Beach off Ocean and Alamitos has outdoor seating with metal tables and chairs and indoor seating. There is some parking on the street depending on the time and day. Walking inside, I had a hard time choosing what I wanted because they have so many delicious, interesting, and crafted breakfasts from sandwiches, to burritos, to plates, and sides. I ordered the Fried chicken sandwich which egg, fried chicken, pickles and a side of sausage gravy for dipping. I also ordered some beer battered potatoes, and coffee. They have water you can serve yourself. After ordering, they gave me a beeper/buzzer so I would know when my food was ready. Enjoying the beautiful day outside was nice. Even better was enjoying the savory breakfast sandwiches. It was so good, savory, flavorful. I dipped my breakfast sandwich in the gravy, took a bite and felt the warm ooze of egg yolk run did my fingers, and did that smile while your chewing. I was loving this. The beer battered potatoes were also good, with some crispy texture on the outside, while hot and soft on the inside. Their coffee was also quite enjoyable. When i went to pick up my food, i did receive a gift card to use at another time and I do plan on going back. I definitely want to try their breakfast burritos. If they are anything like the flavor-packed fried chicken break sandwich, i know it will be good. I think they did a great job with their opening. I know there are hiccups on opening days, but they did a great job and I am very happy that we have a new breakfast establishment in Long Beach. Come out and support. You will be pleasantly suprised and pleasantly full. read more

Rude staff and 35+ min wait for a bacon and egg sandwich. You read that right, 2 ingredients in the sandwich and they couldn't get me my order in a reasonable time. UPDATE: the signs on the table encourage reviews, after i left my review on yelp, the store manager read it OUT LOUD while i was still sitting in the restaurant. kind of weird. service - this is a new spot in long beach, we came in on a weekend trip to grab some brunch. they had no line. the cashier was texting on her phone while i was at the register, not that big of a deal but still off putting. My bf ordered a sandwich that came with avo crema and salsa, they we're out of salsa and he can't have dairy, so he asked if he could sub normal avo instead. she refused and charged him almost 3 dollars. i feel like it should have been discounted due to their lack of salsa. food - My bf ordered the california burrito and i got soft scrambled eggs . i kind of expected the eggs to be really good since this is an egg place, but they tasted like buffet eggs. the burrito was good but was a little small for 17 bucks ambiance - the restaurant was clean, with trendy decor and lots of seating. looked very cute! read more

Wanted to try this place out while visiting family in Long Beach. We ordered online at 11:11am on 5/25 and waited at the restaurant. There were a lot of people sitting around waiting for their order, so we knew it would be a little bit of a wait. We went to follow up on our order after waiting for 40 mins and found out that they didn't have a part of our order in stock. They asked if we wanted something else but we opted for a refund for the missing items since we can't wait any longer. We were told by the person who was at the register that they couldn't process a refund at the moment and that they will have the manager process it later. It's been 4 days now and the restaurant still hasn't refunded the funds back to my account. Another thing I want to point out is the cleanliness of the bathroom. It was dirty and didn't have any hand soap. We saw the cook walk out of the bathroom and back to work right after. Makes one wonder if he washed his hands before heading back to cook. read more

Yessss, EggBred Long Beach has finally opened! With so many awesome options on the menu, I decided that I just need to start somewhere and can eventually work my way through the menu throughout time. This visit, I ordered the Plain Jane breakfast burrito, and it was awesome!! From their website, the Plain Jane burrito has: "Soft scrambled eggs, beer battered potatoes, cheddar jack cheese, and smoked paprika spread, served with fresh salsa verde." I found the ratio between all the ingredients was perfect. The eggs and potatoes were deliciously seasoned, and the smoked paprika spread brought the whole burrito together. I will definitely get this burrito again. I ordered on the app for pick up, and it worked out great. Excited to visit again! read more

I officially give up on Egg Bred Long Beach. I order the same thing every time (Nashville Hottie and beer battered potatoes). No special requests. Want it exactly as it's advertised. When this sandwich is made properly, it's great. Especially the combination of the spice of the chicken and the pickles. It can be so good. Unfortunately more than half the time (including today) they get it wrong. Today they left off the pickles and added an egg. Not the same sandwich at all. And definitely not what I ordered or was hungry for. I realize these are young kids just starting out that work there, but if they can't make one of their signature items, there is obviously a lack of training or supervision or both. If they can't get their act together this store deserves to fail. Call me a former customer from now on. read more

First time trying EggBred I ordered the BEC and a side of potatoes. The bread was, as promised, quite good. A nice pillowy bun to cradle the breakfast selection. There was also a good amount of bacon on the sandwich. The potatoes were well seasoned, although I feel like the serving size is a little small. Unfortunately all of the food was lukewarm. The potatoes, though crisp on the outside, had obviously been sitting under the warmer for a while. On the sandwich the cheese was only slightly melted (a particular pet peeve of mine, maybe you don't care). Overall, it was a decent breakfast but not something I'll have cravings for. read more

OMG sooo delish. Our second time here. First was when they newly opened. Great variety of options on the menu. A couple of things can be made vegan you'll have to see the menu or ask. The have sandwiches, burritos and bowls as well as a couple of salads but don't go for a salad This last time we went was pride weekend and they did a phenomenal job getting people through the line. The cashier (tiny Asian girl-gotta giver her props) and kitchen crew handled all that came their way with gratitude and poise. May favorites are the bowls I've tried 2 different ones the chorizo hash and a country chicken style one. My son loved the burrito with asada and said the steak was very flavorful. Shout out to Goldie the manager for having such an amazing team support her. It's a very simple atmosphere with severa al tables inside and a few outside. Give it a try you won't regret it. read more

i came here on a sunday at 12pm -- peak brunch time, so maybe that was my first mistake. i was in no rush so was happy to wait for my order but i waited over an hour for one sandwhich and potatoes... this place has good food but whoever is in charge needs to make some changes and figure out what they are doing respectfully. I felt terrible for the employees watching as they were bombarded with angry customers who were all waiting just as long if not longer than me for their orders. The employees were certainly trying their past and so i felt no anger towards any of them but it was clear they were understaffed on what i know to be one of the busiest days/times of business for a restaurant that serves breakfast. when i finally received my order it was only because i finally went to the counter after the restaurant had cleared and asked about it. They stated they no longer had my order on the KDS, or the paper ticket so it was clear they had lost it, and i assume that is what happened with others' orders as well. this place has potential but someone needs to step up and manage the space efficiently read more

What a great new addition to LB! I love breakfast food and eggs and this place was just perfect. It's located on the corner on a main street so parking is a little difficult. Walking in I felt very underwhelmed with the ambiance and decor. It gives uncomfortable industrial and I think they could have went with a different vibe that was more welcoming. However the food was absolutely amazing with fast service. The menu was large I was really stuck between 5 items. I originally came in for the eggslut dupe breakfast sandwich but ended up choosing the Benny on the rocks. Eggs Benedict is my favorite and this dish was absolutely perfect and what I've always wanted!! No English muffin just the Benny on potatoes! It was amazing and would definitely come back! read more

Cashier was friendly. Ordered asada burrito and scramble me softly sandwich. Burrito meat was too salty where it becomes hard to enjoy after a while, but everything else in it was good. Scrambled me softly sandwich was very mid and was missing the caramelized onions. Food came out quickly, but both entrees were mid overall. The beer battered potatoes came out warm. They were actually a solid choice! I also really liked the self-serve water and condiments. 3 items for $40 was the part that killed me. read more

Went in one day 20 minutes before close, there was no one in the store, they said they had closed early. Whatever, it was slow and they closed up shop early, who cares. I came back 2 HOURS before close 2 days later, there were people inside trying to order, the same person who'd told me they were closed came up front and told everyone they were "no longer taking orders." Why even have hours posted if you're just going to close up shop whenever?? Was really looking forward to trying them, but I will not be back read more

One of the best burgers I've had. Devon has very good customer service and genuinely made my day with his kindness.

I haven't even eaten my burrito yet but i waited easily over an hour close to 90 minutes for my order. They were clearly short staffed which i was understanding of but the lack of clear communication falls on the management. The staff did what they could so I dont fault them but when systems aren't running properly that falls solely on whoever is in charge. There should have been someone communicating why things were slow/ delayed. Ive never waited this long and STILL NOT GET MY ORDER they finally just tossed me a random room temp burrito that was less than what I purchased. Music was fine and restaurant was clean but I had an awful experience this morning. read more

Really good bfast burritos. Meat were tender and had nice flavor. Smokiness and savory. Can't go wrong with any of their burritos. The popcorn chicken was also very good. My first ever Yelp review... I occasionally go to the Egg Bred in Huntington Beach and it's always delicious. I went to this location this morning, ordered the same thing I usually order along with 2 burritos for my family. It was completely inedible. The potatoes were mush, the ribeye was tough as leather and uncut-when you bit the burrito the whole piece of meat came out. We all threw our food away and when you are paying $20/ burrito, it's extremely disappointing. I will not be back. read more

Ordered three things in-store. They were out of all of the juices and seemed to not care. The cold brew i ordered did not taste good. They ran out of sausage too. It took 25 minutes for them to complete the in-store order. The food quality was not worth the wait. While we waited we placed an online order for an estimated pickup at 12:17. It was not ready until 12:40. Yhis was happening to all customers. When we asked the employee she just said " yeah, the owner can adjust the wait times through the app" but clearly that wasnt happening. The owner was present but this place really seems to need a stronger leader. It was very over priced as well. The food was so-so however, because of the experience, I will not return. read more
