I must say, it has nothing to do with the staff that appears to be in high distress with no management present to assist. After waiting 35 min to have our order called/ready (two breakfast sandwiches) when we checked on the order 1 sandwich had been siting on the counter for who knows how long so it was cold. Order had not been called because the other breakfast sandwich was not ready (35min) later. Requested to get our refund for sandwiches, not drinks, and even that process took 10 min, since no manager was present. Ever since EggBred opened my partner and I have been wanting to try it out as everything looks delicious and the branding looks on point, however looks were very much deceiving. I walked in and placed an order as for whatever reason, it said most items were not available when attempting to order online for pickup. It was fine either way as I was in the area and was going to stop by to grab and go. I was rang up fairly quick and there weren't many folks there, so I thought it would be a fairly quick turn around. I ordered for my partner the ribeye asada burrito, the Ben Franklin for me and the mixed berry cheesecake waffle. Was told that they were out of the salsa verde for the burrito, but they would provide the red, which was fine and was then handed my beeper and I sat to wait. About 30 minutes later was handed my food, which I found took longer than it should have being almost no one in there and about what sounded like 3-4 people working, still willing to overlook long cook times if everything was good. Got back to my place, which was about a five minute walk and started to tear in and well very let down. My sandwich itself had a lot of arugula, minimal hollandaise and the egg was definitely not medium, it was very over hard and was expecting a bit of yolk. With the lack of sauce, the sandwich was very dry. My partners burrito, she cut in half and the half she ate at that time, had no carne asada in and when she finished the rest this morning, the side that had a minimal amount of meat had all gristle and was not appetizing. The waffle was the only thing palatable, however it was just fine and nothing to write home about. I would make an attempt to get a refund, as it wasn't cheap (around 50+) and if I spend that much on breakfast, I would have expectations to have it be amazing or a lot of food and sadly it was neither and going through the refund process would be lengthy enough to just learn my lesson. It has a lot of potential as the location is convenient and the interior isn't terrible, but I would be going for food and not to hang out. There are other options, some just a block away, that are definitely better that should be checked out. I hope they will change it up and step up the standards and speed. read more

I've come to this location a few times and generally had good experiences, but today missed the mark. I am a resident in the same building this restaurant occupies and they have been advertising free delivery to units in the community. I took a picture of the sign advertising this on my phone since that sounded like something that could be handy for later. I work from home and on this occasion had a long session of morning meetings and thought it would be a great time to make use of the perk. I ordered through the app and noted my unit location just as the instructions said and was given an estimate of 20 minutes for it to be ready. 20 minutes pass, then 30, then 45. At this point I try to call and see if everything was ok.. no answer, and went straight to a generic voicemail. Tried again 5 minutes later, no answer again. I got the phone number from Google so I double checked their official website to make sure I had the correct number, it actually was different than what Google had so I also tried calling that number. The website number just went straight to a generic "we're sorry.... Not a great showing of customer support so far. I finally had a gap in my meetings to go down and check what was going on in person. This was over an hour and half later from the time of ordering. When I walked in, the person working the counter told me all of the delivery orders were gone. There was a bag sitting on the counter that she then double checked and sure enough it was mine. So that bag had to have been sitting there for quite some time. I asked why no one came to deliver it and she looked at me confused and told me she knew nothing about them providing that service. She also admitted to them not having any working phones (which in my opinion sounds crazy) since this also could've be avoided if they saw my order notes and called me to tell me they couldn't deliver it. She offered nothing at first other than saying "it's been under a warming lamp so it should still warm".... I would think most people would not be happy knowing their food was sitting under a warming lamp for over an hour. It wasn't until I showed her the picture I had on my phone proving the service and me asking if they could please re-cook the order or refund me that she took the bag back. I finally did get my food and I wanted to just call it even at that point but unfortunately the food tasted below average. It was as if they took the same original food and just reheated it on the flat top. None of the potatoes in the burrito were fresh and crispy like they usually are, the waffle was stale tasting. Friday morning after a long trip out of town, my husband surprises me with a breakfast burrito (chorizo, usually my fave), and some potato twists. In both cases, there was a serious lack of cheese and egg; I didn't see any in the half I ate and his had small chunks scattered throughout. What it did have was a lot of dry, dry potatoes (the same potatoes we already had ordered on the side as well). There was hardly any avocado in either burrito, although we definitely paid extra to have it. The chorizo chunks were too big for my taste and the seasoning of it was just... off. My husband also mentioned the sausage in his burrito was under-seasoned and also needed salt. The coffee he ordered was meh but the potato twists were good and I could tell they would be a bit better if they were hotter. I am tempted to go back to try the breakfast sandwich because I love breakfast burritos and sandwiches, but I am hesitant to risk that it may also turn out to be a waste of calories and money.
