Service is great. We always order take out and food is correct as ordered. We had 1. Egg sandwich with bacon. Cooked perfectly and even comes with a side of potatoes. 2. Special breakfast burrito (allergy to eggs) - hash browns, bacon, cheese and guacamole. Perfect every time. 3. Oatmeal and side of turkey sausage. Love this local place and very timely on orders. read more

2026 Review. April 17th Friday It's been years since I have been back. Went to eat breakfast here prior to attending the Long Beach Grand Prix Race day event. Definitely my go to spot for breakfast on Pine Street. The ambiance is still old school. The food on the other hand is still delicious. Fresh and tasty. Big Kudos to this place for not being greedy on their salsa. You can have unlimited salsa if you choose too. Alot of breakfast choices to choose from. Ordered a Mimosa bottle, it did not dissapoint! Our waiter was friendly and professional. His service made our experience worth while. Plenty of seating. Doesn't get crowded for breakfast. A hidden Gem on pine street, downtown Long Beach. I recommend this place for locals and visitors. Prices are descent. read more

My daughter and I had a very nice breakfast here this morning. We were seated immediately in a comfortable booth. The waitresses were attentive and the food arrived quickly. I had an Eggs Benedict Florentine, and my daughter got a breakfast scramble. Both were fine. It was nice to have some comfort food on a rainy day. read more

Omelette Inn - I ate half of my Eggs Benedict before I remembered to take a picture! I guess that's a good sign. It tasted fine. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Long Beach, California

It's been a while since I did breakfast at Omelette Inn but it was perfect for my plans . First off it was a Sunday morning and we were there at around 9AM . The restaurant was busy but not full we took a seat and were provided menus. I decided to go with the Hobo omelette, I substituted fresh fruit for the hash brown potatoes that it would normally come with. Coffee and an English Muffin. My friend who hates anything green ordered a ham & cheese omelette with potatoes and toast. Coffee and water arrived quickly and our meals came up in a reasonable time. Our booth was comfortable we had a nice view . While we opted for the dinning room the patio was open. When our food arrived I dug in to my omelette. It was delicious and perfect portion. The fruit was a mix of berries and Mellon it was a nice presentation and tasted great. We both enjoyed our meal the server was efficient and answered questions. Have to bump it up in my list of options. read more

Came to Omelette Inn for breakfast with a group and it really felt like one of those dependable, classic breakfast spots you can count on. The menu has solid options across the board, so everyone was able to find something they wanted. The hobo omlette was perfect for me! My omelette was good, satisfying, and cooked well--nothing overcomplicated, just done right. Portion size was solid, more than enough for me. Service was friendly and efficient, especially considering we were a group, and the place itself was clean and comfortable. Overall, a reliable breakfast café that does what it's supposed to do. A good choice when you're in the mood for a straightforward, enjoyable breakfast. read more

Great breakfast and service. I will definitely be going here again. Love the corn beef hash

Ambiance: it's a standard cafe vibe and I kinda hate the table cloths but it was clean so they can keep the stars. Music was cool - some solo diners some couples. No weird smells. Service: I didn't get her name but my waitress was a magenta haired beauty. She was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about the menu. Food: my food came out hot, well cooked, and well seasoned. The home fries made me feel like the chef grew up in the south lol. A five star experience if you love eggs and want a casual experience read more

Really great omelette situation at the Omelette Inn. The omelettes are apparently made with 3 eggs. They're served with your choice of home fries or hashbrowns with your choice of toast. I ordered the ABC ($15.99) - avocado, hickory smoked bacon, and cheddar cheese. The omelette is beautifully constructed. The egg batter is cooked until it resembles a tortilla enabling it to envelope all the bacon. It's a bacon burrito with an egg tortilla topped with cheddar cheese and avocado. The egg tortilla is so damn tasty. It's buttery thin and the hickory bacon is generously portioned. Delish. I do insist you order an English muffin if you find yourself dining here - it is phenomenally good. The butter melts perfectly into all the nooks and crannies. It's sourdoughy and gives enough chew to make me believe it's not a Thomas English muffin. The Omelette Inn is not new, shiny, or trendy. It is, though, a very good diner with an expansive menu. read more

I was looking for a late breakfast spot on a Friday and this spot was open so we walked over. I did not like the coffee but enjoyed everything else. I ordered OJ instead and that was fresh. The bacon was thick and crunchy like I like it and one large pancake hit the spot. The staff was great they let me adjust my omelette and it was delicious as well. Prices are not bad compared to everyone around them. I would come back for more. read more

I came here for breakfast this morning after the bike tour not realizing that I was here and Yelped this place 12 years ago. Not only that, but I ordered the same thing, the Hobo omelette, but this time with hash browns. This time around, I thought the omelette was pretty good, full of ingredients. The portions are generous too, wasn't able to finish the whole plate. Service was OK, but what you'd expect from a breakfast place. read more

Omelette Inn Cafe Date of Visit: February 25, 2026 Location: 318 Pine Ave, Long Beach, CA Total: $63.66 (including tax and tip) (3 stars) I really wanted to like this place, but for nearly $64 for two people at breakfast, this just didn't deliver. We ordered two coffees ($4.26 each), a large orange juice ($6.51), the Ham Steak & Eggs ($16.99), and the Corned Beef Hash ($15.99). The prices are already pushing it for a basic breakfast, and unfortunately the food didn't justify it. The ham steak was the biggest disappointment -- it tasted dry and honestly had that "been sitting in the fridge too long" texture. Not fresh, not juicy, and definitely not worth $17. The eggs were fine, but nothing special. The corned beef hash was decent and probably the best thing we ordered, but still not memorable. Service was okay -- nothing terrible, just average. The overall vibe is that classic diner feel, but when you're paying upscale prices, you expect more than average. For the quality and experience, this felt overpriced. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't special either -- and at these prices, it should be. I wouldn't rush back. read more

We had the hobo omelette...this was honestly the best omelette I've ever had. They use fresh eggs, cook the eggs completely so there's no slimy insides, and the veggies are cooked to perfection. Kudos to the chef!! read more

My sister and I came here on a Saturday morning before attending an event at the convention center. We were greeted by the hostess and promptly sat down. This place has an old timey feel and the decor is dated but its still nice. The service was okay, the servers didn't come check on us much and they were delayed in taking our order. We ordered an omelette, I got french toast, and we ordered a pancake to try. Everything was okay. The one thing I would recommend them to do is get that bathroom fixed. They're missing a door so they put a curtain shower up? Super weird. Parking is street parking only, which was not hard to find. read more

The food is OK, NOT DELICIOUS NOT FANTASTIC but aight(I am a 11yr TRAVELING FOODIE), they have a lot of varieties especially for vegans vegetarians, but THE SERVICE especially from the younger staff is unpleasant. Marisol, was our server, she was not around much& My son had on a big IT'S MY BIRTHDAY BUTTON with dollar bills attached, SHE DIDN'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED HIM/IT & after I paid my check, I informed her he is in the spectrum & he had a birthday button on she said, " oh I don't even be looking at customers like that" WHAT??!! I replied, YOU SHOULD BECAUSE IT'S A PART OF YOUR JOB to be aware of your customers wants& needs start to finish. She said, OH!!....& I left a $5 tip(was prepared to leave $16) read more

No "Service" charge, thank you! We were really, really happy here. Sitting outside on a nice fall day, great for people and dog watching (including a constant flow of people (no dogs) entering the cannabis shop across the street), attentive service, and very vegetarian friendly. Cannot ask for much more. I've been getting too many bland veggie omelettes lately, many not fixable even with salsa. The Sicilian Omelette I had, with veggie sausage happily substituted, was outstanding. Flavorful, did not need salsa to give it taste, excellent. Partner had Black Bean delight, which was true to its name. Nicely cooked hash browns accompanied the omelettes. Fairly priced and 2 hours free parking at the public garage a short stroll away. Perfect place to start a day in Long Beach. read more

The food was good and reasonably priced. I loved the blueberry pancake. I had lots of fresh bluebeeries. There's no vegan option. There is, however, one veggie omelet. So if you are vegan, this is not the place for you. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The decor and furnitures are all dated and need to be updated. I gave this place 4 stars because of the staff. read more

Pretty decent breakfast/brunch place! My boyfriend and I came here with our puppy on a Saturday. We sat outside and got served quickly. The ambiance inside looks more old school. We didn't get to see much inside. I got the santa fe chicken sandwich with salad and my boyfriend got the hobo omelette. The sandwich was okay and fulfilling! I wish it was a bit more flavorful but it's okay. Still got me full. I couldn't finish the salad. Next time I'll try the omelette! They have plenty of options to choose from so it was tough knowing what to get. Prices are okay too. Our total came out to about $30 for two. Will come back again! read more

My cousin was staying with me, so wanted to buy him breakfast while showing him a small part of DTLB. The breakfast place I wanted to try was closed, so came back to this reliable place. He had the classic breakfast, which he enjoyed. The entire menu is available all-day, so I got the weekday special (black bean chicken chili & 1/2 sandwich for $11.96). The chili was very good...maybe too mild for a chili connoisseur (or someone from Texas who doesn't believe in beans in chili)...but reminded me strongly of the "fat-free" chicken chili that our cafe at a place I worked at for a while served (that used to be my lunch pretty consistently 3 days a week). I chose the chicken salad, which was OK, but as expected, didn't have much chicken on the sandwich. It was just filling enough to satisfy me for the long day ahead on a fishing boat. read more

Solid breakfast diner with great omelets. The hobo omelet is absolute loaded and a big breakfast. Hash browns were good, but, the home fries are even better. I don't know what the combo is called but it came with two eggs , 3 pieces of bacon and I got fruit instead of potatoes! I ended up getting turkey bacon and it was delicious! I visited this place this past weekend. My friend absolutely loves this place. It's a very old and quaint breakfast spot. The decor is pretty old and it's fairly small. We were seated immediately. I ordered a seafood omelette with hash browns. It was pretty tasty. Nothing out of the ordinary. Would I go there again. Maybe. Very mediocre tasting omelette. I came with high expectations thinking the chefs where omelette masterminds or something considering the name of the restaurant. Nope, very overpriced low quality cheap diner food that's not tasty at all. Considering the prices of their omelettes, I'd consider all the other surrounding options, egg heaven is definitely waaaaaaaaaaaay better than this place! But I decided to give them a try before going to the gym. Nice waiters tho! read more

The takeaway: Solid breakfast with good coffee, very good tasting food and large portions. I shall set the scene: 8am. I meet a colleague in town for a convention and we meet at this establishment. We are greeted quite heartily by a man at the table just inside the front door. "Welcome!" And he waves us back to a table. I wonder, is this the owner or manager? No... it's a patron who has just finished 2 beers and goes on to happily order two more. Did I mention it is 8am? Eyebrow raised, I slide into the booth wondering what is to come. The menu is ample without being overwhelming. Waitstaff is friendly, and offers some good suggestions on the menu. I would normally go for a Greek egg white omelette, but I call an audible and order the never-before-seen "Black Bean Patty" omelette (when in Rome, as they say), with a side of fruit (instead of potatoes), and sourdough toast, and black coffee. My dining partner gets biscuits and gravy. [How good can it be outside the South? Then again, he drinks Dr. Pepper with breakfast.] Coffee comes: just at the edge of almost too strong... robust, perhaps. And then the omelette... inspired! I highly recommend the black bean omelette. The fruit was fresh and not 4 days old, which is often the case in these establishments. Biscuits and gravy... a huge portion of them. I'm no expert here, but I thought they were pretty good, with a fluffy baking soda biscuit and gravy that was a tad on the sweet and (overly?) salty side. I would give it a 6 or 7 out of 10. [Note: Normally I rely on my dining partner for a judgement on these, but he was nursing a pretty epic hangover and looked like a bite of anything would put him over the top.] They lose a point for buttering my toast, but I lose a point for dropping my guard and not ordering it "dry." Atmosphere: it's a well worn coffee shop and exactly what you'd expect -- slightly dingy, but that's also part of the charm. Did I like the place? Liked it enough that I'm advising my colleague to go easy in the bourbon tonight so we can try it again tomorrow. read more

A homey, cozy diner for breakfast food in DTLB. Huge menu and the food was satisfying. Good portions. There's a very wide variety of omelettes including some unique ones like the Sicilian omelette that I ordered. They provide fresh salsa which is great with any egg dish. They also have lunch options. Service was fast - our group of 6 were on a time crunch and we ordered, ate, and paid all within an hour. Parking is tricky in this area but there is meter parking on the street and a nearby lot free for the first 2 hours on 3rd street. I would recommend this place if you're already in downtown LB. read more

Nothing too special, but gets the job done. Upon arrival there is a sheet of paper to write your name and you wait to be called for seating. We opted for inside in the large booths and service came fairly quickly. The menu is quite large and I love that you can get lunch during the breakfast hour. I went with the tuna melt and fries with a side of ranch. Everything tasted decent, but our server had zero personality. Hardly seemed like she wanted to be there and we kinda felt rushed. The bathrooms are dingy and men's didn't have toilet paper. Price seemed a bit high for the atmosphere, but we did leave full. read more

I was really pleasantly surprised by Omelette Inn. I thought it would just be a typical breakfast diner with so-so food, but it was actually really delicious! I ordered the Santa Fe chicken sandwich, which was really good and huge! I ate half of it and saved the other half for lunch the next day. My husband got an omelette - I think the "Mama Mia" if I remember correctly. It was also huge (3 eggs) and served with a big side of hashbrowns. I was craving chocolate (as always...) so we split a single banana chocolate chip pancake. Usually I just get chocolate chip or banana pancakes, but having both was a great combination.
