We have now been twice to Eggbred and we always leave craving those potato wedges! We have had the sausage egg and cheese and the fried chicken with egg sammy. Note: it comes with a cup of sausage gravy! So good. It does fill up fast inside as it only has like 10 tables but tables turn fast. We usually get there between 9-10a before the weekend rush. The one negative is they get a lot of to-go orders and people will just sit at a 4-top while waiting. In the middle of the path of travel If you haven't been, definitely check it out! This is a big place with a lively open kitchen n people dining and hanging around while some just eat and go or are grabbing their orders to go. The food is the bomb huge burritos and great fresh juices. And don't just see the potatoes on the menu as a little potato they're really seasoned and delicious and grab yourself some new assortment of hot sauce like Cholula at the counter to dip in your ketchup that you have to request from over-the-counter. The new management and staff make a lot of difference. I had been here when it first opened. I tried 2xs, but was not planning to come back because of the service and food quality. I've got to say...it has 5 star staff, new owner, and although mostly the same food, it it sooo much better. Today I ate outside with dog millie. A Delicious First Visit to Egg Bred! I just love trying out new places--especially when both the food and service are exceptional. That was exactly my experience at Egg Bred in Long Beach! Since it was my first time, I wanted to try everything, but I settled on the chicken and scrambled egg breakfast sandwich. Let me just say--wow. The eggs were scrambled perfectly fluffy, and the fried chicken breast was tender and crispy, tucked between two soft buns. It was seriously delicious. They serve the gravy on the side, which is a nice touch--but honestly, I didn't even need it. A little hot sauce on that sandwich, and it absolutely made my morning. To top it off, I tried their rhost cold brew, which was both aromatic and strong--just the caffeine boost I needed. Overall, a great first-time dining experience. Ever since EggBred opened my partner and I have been wanting to try it out as everything looks delicious and the branding looks on point, however looks were very much deceiving. I walked in and placed an order as for whatever reason, it said most items were not available when attempting to order online for pickup. It was fine either way as I was in the area and was going to stop by to grab and go. I was rang up fairly quick and there weren't many folks there, so I thought it would be a fairly quick turn around. I ordered for my partner the ribeye asada burrito, the Ben Franklin for me and the mixed berry cheesecake waffle. Was told that they were out of the salsa verde for the burrito, but they would provide the red, which was fine and was then handed my beeper and I sat to wait. About 30 minutes later was handed my food, which I found took longer than it should have being almost no one in there and about what sounded like 3-4 people working, still willing to overlook long cook times if everything was good. Got back to my place, which was about a five minute walk and started to tear in and well very let down. My sandwich itself had a lot of arugula, minimal hollandaise and the egg was definitely not medium, it was very over hard and was expecting a bit of yolk. With the lack of sauce, the sandwich was very dry. My partners burrito, she cut in half and the half she ate at that time, had no carne asada in and when she finished the rest this morning, the side that had a minimal amount of meat had all gristle and was not appetizing. The waffle was the only thing palatable, however it was just fine and nothing to write home about. I would make an attempt to get a refund, as it wasn't cheap (around 50+) and if I spend that much on breakfast, I would have expectations to have it be amazing or a lot of food and sadly it was neither and going through the refund process would be lengthy enough to just learn my lesson. It has a lot of potential as the location is convenient and the interior isn't terrible, but I would be going for food and not to hang out. There are other options, some just a block away, that are definitely better that should be checked out. I hope they will change it up and step up the standards and speed. read more

Ordered 45 minutes ahead online. Got there 15 minutes before pick up time. There were 4 people and none had any idea about my order. They went on to make it- 20 minutes later and 5 minutes past promised time. Bacon , egg, potatoes, burrito for $15 with tip. I understand by their menu that it said soft eggs- But the entire burrito was like eating a cottage cheese burrito. There was NOTHING distinguishable from egg to potato to bacon. They were clearly short staffed which i was understanding of but the lack of clear communication falls on the management. I had high hopes for Eggbred in Long Beach since I'm a big breakfast sandwich fan and have tried many spots across LA. Unfortunately, I left pretty disappointed. My order came to $18.20 for a sandwich and a side of crispy potatoes. While that price isn't shocking in LA, especially with today's egg costs, I was willing to give it a shot. The problem was the portion size. When I opened the bag and saw the sandwich, I couldn't believe how small it was. It felt more like a slider than a full meal, almost a child's portion. For nearly $20, I expected something more substantial. Flavor-wise, the sandwich was fine and the service was reasonably quick, but the value just isn't there. At the end of the day, paying that much for a tiny sandwich with egg, bacon, bread, and potatoes doesn't make sense. I'm so happy I got to try! I've walked by the wall for so long I got the bacon egg cheese .... The bread was so soft and so good. I got scrambled eggs and they were perfectly fluffy. The bacon was perfect. The only thing that I'm not sure if I liked or didn't like, but I think I'm leaning towards liking it was the jalapeño ketchup. I normally don't put anything on my breakfast sandwiches. But it was decent. My friend got the fried chicken sandwich with country gravy and was obsessed. I took a bite and the breading was perfectly crispy and wonderfully flavored. The blood orange juice was OK. My friend got it and really liked it. The person taking the order was nice and gave suggestions since it was my first time there. I will say I was expecting a bit more out of the sandwich. It wasn't bad it just wasn't that good. I also expected the ratio of egg and meat to be more equivalent to the bun but the bun overpowered the whole sandwich. I should've gotten the burrito. Coffee was regular drip coffee, decent. Looking on Yelp I found EggBred. They were open pretty early and from what I saw the menu looked to fit perfectly in what I was looking for. EggBred did resemble another popular breakfast egg sandwich place and I had to give them a try during my visit. At the time I didn't want anything too crazy or heavy. So I absolutely love eggs and these kinds of places are exactly what I think this world needs more of to achieve world peace. The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere was great, place is very clean. The food was pretty good and it came out reasonably fast. However, the two things I ordered - the fried chicken sandwich and breakfast burrito - felt like normal fast food orders. The fried chicken was really good, but I was looking for more egg from an egg-brand restaurant. Instead I found myself eating a normal chicken sandwich with an egg on it. You may argue that if I wanted it to be mostly egg then I could've ordered a benedict, and you would be right. I'll probably return and order that next. That said, I was a little disappointed with the food. They do give you a properly cooked sunny side up egg, but it did very little for me for what I ordered. I've been following EggBred on IG for a long time but could never make it out to their La Habra location during breakfast hours. So when they announced that they were opening shop in my home city, I was elated. Today I treated myself and went for the mouthwatering Scramble Me Softly (added sausage) and a blood orange juice. The eggs were perfectly soft scrambled - Gordon Ramsay would approve. The milk bread was soft and slightly toasted. Sausage was flavorful. Throw on some melty cheese and caramelized onions, and you have a perfect breakfast sammy. What was the real surprise? The salsa verde! Perfect kick of spice with balanced acidity. Who needs the other brands (yes, they have packets of the usual suspects) when you have the scratch made stuff that is so much better? The only downside is parking, but it's worth circling around to find a spot. They also were doing lots of take out orders and use Toast Tab, so you can always grab and go. From the service to the atmosphere, everyone was great! I got the sausage burrito, and oh my God, it was so good! The burrito is huge definitely big enough for two people to share. It made up for my previous visit when I wasn't a fan of the Scramble Me Soft sandwich. I can't wait to come back and try more burritos! Today's service was excellent, and the restaurant was clean. Went to check out EggBread on their opening day. I was brightly greeted by the yellow themed colors. The logo is a yellow eggyolk on a slice of bread and white font on yellow banner that says Craft Breakfast Sandwiches. This place in Long Beach off Ocean and Alamitos has outdoor seating with metal tables and chairs and indoor seating. There is some parking on the street depending on the time and day. Walking inside, I had a hard time choosing what I wanted because they have so many delicious, interesting, and crafted breakfasts from sandwiches, to burritos, to plates, and sides. I ordered the Fried chicken sandwich which egg, fried chicken, pickles and a side of sausage gravy for dipping. I also ordered some beer battered potatoes, and coffee. They have water you can serve yourself. After ordering, they gave me a beeper/buzzer so I would know when my food was ready. Enjoying the beautiful day outside was nice. Even better was enjoying the savory breakfast sandwiches. It was so good, savory, flavorful. I dipped my breakfast sandwich in the gravy, took a bite and felt the warm ooze of egg yolk run did my fingers, and did that smile while your chewing. I was loving this. The beer battered potatoes were also good, with some crispy texture on the outside, while hot and soft on the inside. Their coffee was also quite enjoyable. When i went to pick up my food, i did receive a gift card to use at another time and I do plan on going back. I definitely want to try their breakfast burritos. If they are anything like the flavor-packed fried chicken break sandwich, i know it will be good. I think they did a great job with their opening. Yessss, EggBred Long Beach has finally opened! With so many awesome options on the menu, I decided that I just need to start somewhere and can eventually work my way through the menu throughout time. This visit, I ordered the Plain Jane breakfast burrito, and it was awesome!! From their website, the Plain Jane burrito has: "Soft scrambled eggs, beer battered potatoes, cheddar jack cheese, and smoked paprika spread, served with fresh salsa verde." I found the ratio between all the ingredients was perfect. The eggs and potatoes were deliciously seasoned, and the smoked paprika spread brought the whole burrito together. First time trying EggBred I ordered the BEC and a side of potatoes. The bread was, as promised, quite good. A nice pillowy bun to cradle the breakfast selection. There was also a good amount of bacon on the sandwich. The potatoes were well seasoned, although I feel like the serving size is a little small. Unfortunately all of the food was lukewarm. The potatoes, though crisp on the outside, had obviously been sitting under the warmer for a while. The cashier (tiny Asian girl-gotta giver her props) and kitchen crew handled all that came their way with gratitude and poise. May favorites are the bowls I've tried 2 different ones the chorizo hash and a country chicken style one. My son loved the burrito with asada and said the steak was very flavorful. What a great new addition to LB! I love breakfast food and eggs and this place was just perfect. It's located on the corner on a main street so parking is a little difficult. Walking in I felt very underwhelmed with the ambiance and decor. It gives uncomfortable industrial and I think they could have went with a different vibe that was more welcoming. However the food was absolutely amazing with fast service. The menu was large I was really stuck between 5 items. I originally came in for the eggslut dupe breakfast sandwich but ended up choosing the Benny on the rocks.
