    Maki's 9th Birthday Party

Great bakery. I love the details they put into each cake. Even my picky pup loved the banana/peanut butter round cake with honey cream cheese frosting. It's well worth the cost of the cake after seeing how much effort they put into customizing the cake for your dog. I can't wait for the next doggie birthday so I can buy another cake.

I love to get my dog Budley his birthday pupcakes every year for his bday. He loves them and they don't mess with his sensitive stomach!

We went early to make sure they weren't sold out of anything we wanted. We got a good variety and ended up eating the entire box outside before leaving. My wife got the matcha which was fantastic and I got the Atole latte which was perfectly creamy and not overly sweet. You will thank me later. There is spicy Jalapeno bread and there is this, which is Sourdough, Jalapeno and salt done in the perfect combination. Your taste buds will thank you but there is no need to thank me (after all, I didn't create it). Most of the items on the menu I can't pronounce but you can't really go wrong with any of them. The Horchata Matcha is one. This is a popular one. Come early for best selection!

I'm currently sitting here eating my sandwich while writing this review cause of how happy I am right now. We got the bagel sandwiches with bacon, one jalapeño bagel & one cheddar. Each sandwich was $10 but seriously WORTH IT. The bagels are so good & the crunch on the outside but fluffy on the inside. I got the tres leches latte & i got my boyfriend the horchata latte (both $5.50). The tres leches latte definitely tastes like what you think it would, it was good but I would add cinnamon powder to enhance the flavor a bit more. The Horchata Latte was delicious! I definitely prefer the flavor of the Horchata a bit more but both are delicious. Either way, you HAVE to try Saints and Sinners. I would definitely come back and try some of their other menu items & drinks!!

The owner said he's reaching out to Yelp to get the incorrect gluten free listing removed, which it seems has been done. With that in mind I updated my review from 1 to 3. While I appreciate that the misunderstanding may have been caused by Yelp, the customer service (when in the restaurant) could have been more respectful and not dismissive/judging. The yelp page says they have gluten free options but that isn't the case. They had no gluten free options and the employee working acted as though the question of gluten free options was ridiculous. We pointed out that the yelp page says they have gluten free and asked if that's charged, but they rudely responded and said they don't pay attention to yelp. Maybe they should pay attention.

I'm absolutely obsessed with their coffee menu, baked items, sandwiches, and their selection of grocery-like goods. I ordered the Midsommar caramel latte, ceasar salad sandwich on their fresh baked bread, and the strawberry rhubarb and pistachio danish (!!). I'd easily sign up for this lineup to be my last meal on earth. I even ordered a sourdough bread loaf with olives so I could ride this high for several more days. The Midsommar latte is crafted with housemade caramel, espresso, milk, and topped with sprinkles of fennel and bee pollen - the perfect finale to an already incredible drink. To hear that they also offer an extensive pizza menu? You won't be seeing the last of me, Colossus.

Cinnamon Sugar Knot, Midsommar Latte ICED ONLY…read more This was my first time trying out colossus after always passing by it on my walks along 2nd street. I ordered a Cinnamon Sugar Knot and a after looking at the coffee options I decided to go with the Midsommar Latte. The Cinnamon Sugar Knot was pretty yummy, it had, in my opinion, a very good distribution of sugar all along the pastry and wasn't lackluster like I feel most places are. If you are craving a sweet bite of something I recommend the Cinnamon Sugar Knot for sure. The Midsommar Latte on the other hand had a pretty presentation and at first glance looked like it would be pretty good. Sadly to me the flavor wasn't there, it tasted very milky and lacked any other flavoring. It's suppose to be a spicy Carmel as described to me by the barista but as I stated I was just milky. If you crave more of a stronger coffee taste, as I tend to personally like, i definitely would stay away from the Midsommer Latte. The service was quick and the baristas were nice. There wasn't any music playing though when I went, maybe it was paused in accident, so it was extremely quite which isn't a bad thing but perhaps playing some lo-fi music to just set a nice relaxing tone would be great. All in all, not a bad little cafe, nice interior, yummy pastries, and good amount of options to choose from within the drink menu

I've purchased them three times (each) to make sure I didn't just get a weird batch so I can attest that they lack in flavor, they're just sweet. Sylvanas are decent-crunch is great, not a whole lot of flavor, overly sweet. I suppose I only enjoyed them because it reminds me of my sansrival birthday cakes when I lived in Manila. Nostagiaaaa from the actual texture! Calamansi loaf- fave because it tastes good overall , but lacked calamansi flavor or tartness from the calamansi juice I guess Ube pandesal- I used to get this 3 times a week- just tastes like regular pandesal with a small slice of Cheez. Again, zero ube flavor Regular pandesal- can't go wrong here. Bibingka- decent. Doesn't have the traditional chewiness of bibingka, but just okay in actual flavor. I doctored mine up with slices of Cheezewhiz and salted egg at home. I think the names of the pastries are deceiving because they lack the actual flavor that they're named after. Stopped coming because I felt like I was just paying $20 per visit for something sweet that didn't have depth in flavors. Also, after reading the clap backs from the owner on IG/Yelp reviews towards other patrons, it has turned me off and made me more hesitant to support her business. The guy though (sorry I don't know his name) is always at the counter and super nice!
