If you're looking for a tres leches cake connect, this is it. I haven't had a cake like this in a while. The freshness, the taste, the moistness. And the service were all above average. So happy to have found this place.

Inside and a sneak peak at the menu!

This place is the bomb! I love having a family oriented restaurant in my neighborhood. The staff are super friendly and the food is consistently good! Try the chicken or carne asada burrito! The best! I'm a regular here! If you're in the mood for sweets, try the tres leches cake!

Many of their pastries lean toward fruity and nutty flavors, which isn't what I tend to crave; however, what brings the fifth star are their dine in brunch and dinner menus. Nonna Mercato is the only place that I know of in Long Beach where one can get a great French omelette for brunch. They also have outstanding handmade pastas with rich sauces. I ordered a delicious house made gnochetti pasta with a sauce that was fortified with nduja sausage, broccoli rabe, garlic, and tomato. There were some additional umami flavors in the savory sauce and the handmade gnochetti are amazing. Was tempted to take some fresh spaghetti home, but I'll be back later this week to pick some up!

They advertise freshness, organic, homemade but I didn't quite feel any of it. The portions are smaller than you'd expect and although they were small we didn't even finish it because it wasn't that good. Another thing was it was a pretty hot day and we were not offered inside seats. We sat outside in the front patio, there are no fans and we came out with many mosquito bites!! Our server was nice, we didn't really stick around long enough.

The cookie dough is my personal favorite! I ordered one to go recently and the lady behind the counter was so kind to serán wrap my brownie extra to fit in my luggage to eat on the plane! I would not recommend trying to bring one of their brownies through TSA because they're so big and gooey that they do not allow them on, learn from my mistake! Thanks for the consistency on the taste and quality of these brownies!

The minute you walk inside, it literally smells like heaven! I got two cinnamon rolls, and when I tell you they are HUGE, I mean HUGE! You can even get the frosting on the side. They were only about $7 each, and honestly, with the size and quality, they look like they should cost $20! Absolutely delicious and worth every penny. The service was amazing too. The guys working the register were friendly, welcoming, and made ordering easy. There were about six people ahead of me, but the line moved along nicely. This is definitely a MUST-TRY bakery. Come hungry and be prepared to want EVERYTHING you see! Just an FYI, they are cash only, but they conveniently have an ATM located in the back of the bakery. Great vibe, amazing service, incredible selection, and delicious freshly baked treats. I will DEFINITELY be back!

The decor is cozy and chic, and I like that they kept it spacious instead of cramming a ton of tables and chairs in. I especially loved the little table lamps! Our server was very nice and helpful when we had questions. Caesar salad: I LOVED this. Perfect balance of flavors with perfect crunch. Word of warning is that it is anchovy heavy (including anchovy filets on top), so if you like to pretend the anchovy aspect of Caesar salads doesn't exist, this might not be for you! Roasted chicken: Loved the crunch on this too, and the salad and polenta were nice additions. I think the polenta was my favorite part of this dish lol. Kale pistou pizza (asked for no onions): My least favorite dish. We didn't realize it was vegan but as someone who generally likes vegan food, it just lacked flavor and felt very dry overall. The sourdough crust was good, at least. Peach mess dessert: Omg, the star of the show! Such an amazing dessert top to bottom, I loved the mix of textures and flavors. I could eat this every day! I probably would've given this 4 stars due to the pizza being that bland, but the dessert really elevated this whole meal. Can't wait to see all their different menus throughout the seasons! I hope they add a happy hour soon and I hope to see the return of their patio at some point!

I've only had a chance to try a couple things in the restaurant side. Loved the mushroom French dip that's available during brunch (although it would be nice to have more "au jus" to dip it in). Another thing that rocked was the pull apart bread with spicy feta. I also love that they have community events in there like knitting and book club meetings. It does get really loud in there though with all the hard surfaces, which makes it hard to hear if crowded. Needs some noise dampening.
