I've had a great time bringing my pup here over the last few months. Most of the trainers are really nice and knowledgeable, patiently guiding my pup using innovative ways to get him to learn something new when he gets lost or stubborn. They usually start you off in the most basic class and as you pup hits specific milestones, you're able to bring him to other types of classes. The physical location is a good size, and they limit the number of dogs in each class. Most of all, I like that each class is structured and has somewhat of an agenda. I came across it randomly online and I came in with little expectations, I have a full of energy almost 1 year old puppy & my 11 year old girl who is already fully trained and set in her ways. They have BOTH benefited so much from every class they've taken, in their energy, confidence, public outings, meeting other dogs and not to mention even at home from how much positive stimulation they get every week. I cannot say enough good things about Zoom Room Long Beach! Jen, Mike, and Alison are all amazing trainers and treat your pup as their own. The positive reinforcement training style that they teach here works really well with our Pembroke Welsh Corgi Pichi - who has attended Zoom Room since he was a tiny puppy. We've never been interested in dog obedience classes that teach training using e-collars, we feel that they are cruel and dogs shouldn't be trained out of fear. With Zoom Room, our dog gets spoiled and rewarded with high value treats whenever we take him here each week. One of our favorite parts are the puppy playgroup available on weekends for about 30 minutes, it makes us so happy to see our dog enjoying playing with his classmates after a good training session. A lot of dog parks in Long Beach are filled with owners who have lack of training on recalls which could lead to an injury and we would rather avoid that by attending a play group here once a week for a super affordable price. We feel at ease that there's trainers present to maintain balance and fairness in the play group at all times. Our Pichi loves to play rough with bigger dogs and this play group is perfect for him because he gets to socialize with different breeds and sizes. This place is AMAZING!! First, you can't ask for a better price when it comes to training. We got the 4 month pass as we have both an older dog (9yo) and a new puppy. I also appreciate that it seems like this place won't graduate the older dog from Obedience unless he ACTUALLY meets some criteria. I can't tell you how many group training classes we've been to which just graduated my older dog without him actually learning that much. So, that's great. But honestly the real reason I find this place so incredible is that when my puppy was teething, this place legit helped my partner and I have tools to train our puppy to stop biting us, and ultimately saved us a lot of tears and stress. In fact, since we both work from home, we weren't going to bother crate training our puppy, but the trainer there (Alison) gave us sage advice and told us that we really ought to crate train. Thank god we did!!! Honestly anytime he gets super bitey we use the crate for enforced naptime, and I appreciate this place so much for this useful tool. I'm bummed to leave this review because I was really excited about taking my puppy here. I signed my puppy up to attend the puppy play group for this past Saturday. The Friday before the class, I received an email saying that "cancellation for the play group was confirmed" (I had never called to cancel). I contacted Zoom Room and they confirmed they he was still on the list to attend. I probably received 4 more of the same emails but disregarded, as they said he was still enrolled. Saturday morning I woke up and I was really excited to take Onion to play group. He's a 6 month old puppy and very playful. I heard and read great things about Zoom Room so I was eager to get him in and have him make some new friends. I arrived 15 mins before the class started, as the staff requested, since it was his first time there. A class was just ending as we arrived and a staff member asked for our puppy's name and what class we were there for. I told her we were there for the puppy play group and she let us know that no one signed up, so there wouldn't be a play group anymore. She said she was sorry that no one called us beforehand to let us know. The thing that bothered me is that I called about 15-20 minutes before the class to confirm that they received the vaccination records I emailed. Someone could have told us then that no class would be taking place, or taken 2 minutes to give us a call as a courtesy. We wasted 20 minutes driving there and planning our whole morning around this class, just for us to show up and be told it's not happening. Again, I heard great things about this place, so it was really unfortunate that this was our first experience with them. read more

I had adopted a puppy who was a bit fearful in social situations with other dogs. I know how important proper socialization is for development so I was researching different options because dog parks were not going well. Luckily I found Zoom Room and their playgroups and there are a couple different locations near me so I initally signed up for accounts with 2 different locations. I soon received a call from the Long Beach Zoom Room to answer any questions and provide more information about services they provide and I was so glad they called because it really solidified my decision to go there. Playgroups are great because they are supervised by their instructors who help facilitate appropriate dog play (no inattentive or pre occupied owners letting their dogs run wild here) and provide helpful tips for owners as well. I'm not a new dog owner so I've had experience training dogs but not all dogs are created equal so for my current pup I realized I needed some extra guidance and purchased a class package. The obediences classes are great and once we reached all the appropriate milestones we started agility classes and they are so fun! With the playgroups, obedience classes and agility training it's nice to see the development of my dog and Zoom Room Long Beach is a wonderful place. All Zoom Rooms are independently owned so not sure how the other locations are but everyone that works here is awesome! read more

Xena (now 5 moths old) has been attending the Puppy Training Plus classes weekly. We have learned a ton of great training techniques and it has been a perfect place for her to get socialized with supervision. I took both my dogs to the grand opening and signed up for their beginner agility classes after one intro class. My dogs are border collie/Australian Shepherd mixed pups and need a lot of attention and direction and the trainers were so positive and amazing at not only explaining and modeling but being patient while they figured out how to do each obstacle. Our pups caught on fairly quickly with their encouragement and guidance and we definitely intend to continue to take them! I was thrilled to see that a Zoom Room had opened up in Long Beach! I immediately signed up and went through a in-person evaluation where I was greeted kindly. The place is brand new and everything was set up and laid out beautifully. I came back the next day for my pup Timo's first obedience class. Although my dog isn't new to training at all, we still went over some things that are vital to basic dog obedience. He caught on pretty quick and we were given the okay to start agility classes! I am excited to give my dog an opportunity to have more enrichment in his life!
