I had such a great experience at Go Fetch! From the very first phone call to ask about services, the woman who helped me was so kind and informative. When I came in, she was just as welcoming in person, which immediately made the experience feel comfortable and positive. The groomer was also incredibly friendly. She took the time to meet Milo, get to know him, and ask me questions before taking him back. Milo can be a little anxious (that's just my boy! ), but she kept me informed throughout the process, which I really appreciated. It helped ease my own anxiety too. Most importantly, Milo was treated so well. He came back looking great, happy, and not scared at all. That says everything to me. I'll definitely be coming back for grooming services. My dog has been going to GOfetch for over three years now, for both boarding and overnight care, and loves it! She has a lot of energy, and being able to drop her off once a week here to burn it off is well worth the price (when she was younger, she went 2-3 times per week). The employees are really good with her - best example: My dog is reactive on leash when walking with me, but as soon as I hand off her leash to a GOfetch employee when dropping her off for daycare she behaves exactly as she should. I've been taking my dog Oliver to GOfetch for daycare, as well as occasional boarding and grooming, for roughly a decade and he (me too) absolutely loves it. The staff is always friendly and you can tell that everybody working here absolutely loves dogs. They have live-stream cameras so you can check in on your pup during the day, and regular email communications and updates with clients about special events (adventure walks, "yappy hour" for owners to socialize with their pets, holiday events and more). They even have a pick up and drop off service for local clients. I feel completely secure my dog is in great hands when I leave him with them. I've read some unflattering (and worse) stories about other places, including national "luxury" dog day care chains, and I'm so grateful to have GoFetch as a local pet care business that always excels. read more

This is specific to bonded dogs but could apply to singles too. I brought my dogs here awhile ago and I've sat on reviewing this place for some time but with all the trouble this place has caused its more for awareness. Back story. I have two dogs that are close in age and I brought them when my female was just under a year and my male was almost a year and a half. Both dogs showed no signs of aggression or fear before taking them here. Always friendly and wanting to meet dogs on other walks. My boy was very obedient as a young puppy per people that worked for both doggy daycare and vet offices. I took them for their temperament test and didn't watch because it was only an hour. My boy had been at other daycares with longer tests and no issues. Came home perfect. This was my female's 1st time and I took them together since h3 had no issues prior to this and they were going together. Anywho, pick them up. They say they did great. I'm excited because they are velcro dogs and I needed to do work on my place and needed them away. Took them on walks and everything is normal. Take them for a half day the following day. I'm working on my bathroom and peaking. I do see him mounting her a lot which I don't care for and I did see a dog run by that my dog snapped at but nothing too crazy. I go to pick them up and was told "he was being aggressive" and that he was the previous day as well (although they never told me this). They specifically told me they did great during the test. From this point on my female was afraid of other dogs on walks and my boy is now protective and aggressive of his fearful sister. So now walking them together is horrible. I have now spent thousands of dollars in training and do separate daycare because they were not honest with their hour temperament test and it mentally broke both my dogs. I'm sure the staff was not aware that by not telling me these things it would end up like this, but pet parents be aware. I hope this review saves pet parents heartache and maybe the owners will reevaluate their processes so that this doesn't happen in the future. read more

Weird to post about a dog care place on Yelp but here we are. This place is absolutely the best for dogs. I couldn't be happier with the team and care at GoFetch. I never imagined I'd pay money for a dog to go to daycare but hear me out - it's worth every penny. We got a puppy in April and as soon as he was old enough, we started trying a little bit of training and daycare through GoFetch. We could not be happier with them and our now 6 month old puppy adores his time there. Their love, care and understanding of dogs is incredible. We take our pup for daycare a few days a week and he loves it so much that he runs to the door to be let in. Misty, who is there in the morning when we bring Mookie, is wonderful. The moment you meet her in the morning, you know your dog is going to be loved. Every single team member is warm and friendly, knows the dogs and makes you feel so comfortable. We had him groomed there and the groomer not only called to go over what we wanted but sent a follow up email with his care that day. Currently, he's being boarded and the team is amazing about looking after him and updating us. The dogs aren't kenneled at night and this makes me so happy. I saw the reviews on this business and was eager to go get some info on having my dogs boarded for a week since I just moved to LB and needed a closer place to leave my dogs. First thing I encountered was the heavy smell of dog urine as soon as I walked in. The woman in the front desk was not very friendly or welcoming , she was actually condescending with answering any of my questions. I would of booked them but because of her rudeness I felt uncomfortable. Even when saying thank you to her for the information, she just was dismissive, and all she said in return was A-ha. called to book an appointment for two of my pets. the person who answered the call was very off putting. she could not provide any information for any grooming services but was able to inform us they could not be seen. we explained further that we were looking for a new groomer for our two small dogs. we mentioned we wanted a summer cut, with the cleaning of the ears, cutting of nails, ect. she said ok, so what services are you looking for? did you want to leave them over night? were also booked and will not be able to see them. not only was she not helpful but was eager to end the conversation and provide no options of when to call back or anything. This made us uncomfortable to say the least and would not trust that they could provide proper Care for our dogs, if they were to see them. it's unfortunate because they are local to us but it's best to stay away from people who do not like doing their job. first impressions are everything and we would never leave our dogs with people that don't have any manners or are able to provide a decent service over the phone. most importantly, these are our pets, an extension of our family and we would never leave them with people that show lack of respect empathy and compassion for any new customers/clients. read more

This is the 2nd chance I gave to the groomers at Go Fetch! First time wasn't t so good but I let it go. This time is horrendous. It looks like my dog got in a fight with the clippers. What kind of groomer thinks this is a good cut? My dog is a very well behaved dog and has been to different groomers in the past and has NEVER had this happen. Maybe it wasn't a cut I was in love with but I always think well it will grow back. This is absolutely unacceptable and I can't imagine how this company has such raving reviews. I will definitely NEVER EVER come back again and I will be sure not to recommend anyone to this place. I wish I can give negative stars! Update: I received a call from the owner only to end up more upset than I started. She offered a refund but took no responsibility for the poor quality of work I received. Instead she chose to pass the blame onto my husband, saying that that's what he asked for (which he did not) saying that the groomer was not comfortable with his request but proceeded anyway. Hmmm what a bunch of crap. If she had owned up to the mistake I would have updated my review on a more positive note. And would have let this all go. I first called GoFetch when I was a few weeks into owning a new puppy and convinced I had the barkiest corgi on the planet. A trainer came to my home and did a free one hour training consultation. She convinced me I wasn't the worst dog mom in the whole world and gave me a lot of good training tips. Since then Callie and I have done puppy kindergarten, daycare, group training classes, one on one training, and yappy hour. After taking my dog there for over a year, he was involved in a dog fight, that occurred in front of the gate when another was being let in. I was told that my dog had provoked the fight by barking. When I viewed the video it was clear that my dog was attacked by several other dogs as a result of the excitement of another dog being let in. I know that accidents happen, and I do acknowledge my dog is a very vocal dog. I was of course very upset about finding out my dog was injured and had to obtain 9 stitches in his ear, but what upset me even more was the lack of empathy and support from the owner herself. I was so deeply saddened by the lack of concern with my dogs injuries that I have not been back. I am a true supporter of small businesses in Long Beach, and have waited a long time to write this review. I just believe that a person who cares for dogs should be able to treat owners with more respect and kindness when they are obviously distraught. I do want to acknowledge that the lady that works at the front desk, and is I believe is a manager was always so kind and wonderful to myself and my dog. I believe her name was Misty or Mindy I apologize for not remembering her name, she always had fun hair colors, she was very good to my dog and he loved going so much to daycare, I believe this had a lot to do with the attention she gave him. I don't want to absolutely roast these folks because they did a good job with grooming but I wish they never would have advised me to get my dog's anal glands expressed. He is a 90 lb Greyhound and as a new and first time pet owner, I wish I would have known that he shouldn't need any help at all expressing his glands at all. Whatever they did do here, it lead to an infection that is costing me hundreds upon hundreds of dollars to medicate and fix. If you have a small dog who needs help with their glands, please take them to a vet to get it done internally (the right way). read more

When my wife and I got our 8 week old Pomeranian, Cosmo, we knew that we would want some kind of daycare for him when he got a little older. All dogs need attention and excitement in their day, and Cosmo needed a LOT of attention at first. We found GoFetch through convenience, but stuck with it for the quality of their daycare service and the peace of mind that affords us. The employees have all been warm and welcoming, and they will almost immediately remember you and your dog. That was already reassuring. They have a webcam set up so you can monitor your dog in the playpen throughout the day. Another plus, although I've honestly never felt compelled to check it. They give you updates on your dog and keep you informed of his behavior. According to them, Cosmo is "one of the pack" now, and it shows. He comes back from daycare exhausted and happy. One of the first things he does after dinner is find a spot on the floor and pass out. Tired baby is our favorite baby! We bought a 30 day package for Cosmo, which wasn't cheap, but after using it twice a week for the last two months, we can say it's been worth every penny. My wife and I work all day, and it wouldn't be fair to Cosmo to keep him locked up alone in our apartment five days a week. If your dog plays well with others and needs some extra attention during the week, I can wholeheartedly recommend GoFetch. Their temperament test is free, and it will determine how well your fur baby will handle regular daycare sessions, so at least stop by and give it a shot! read more

We were assaulted by the stench when we entered the lobby and did not get used to it while we waited. How can it be so bad when they clean up after each incident? Anyway, the staff were all super nice, professional and knowledgeable. They have a great app for watching any of several cameras. The technique for testing if my dog would do well there was thoughtfully developed and implemented. We could see via the app (while we had a bite at Pollys pies next door) that she was not digging it. I took my standard poodle Gigi to get groomed in December 2021. First of all, the groomer (can't remember her name but she's in the pic) was amazing. She saw my matted girl and instead of judging me (which she had every right to) she heard me out and worked with my wishes. I knew before I brought her in that she would be 100% shaved when I got her back. I took her to Petco previously and she returned like a naked mole rat so I knew this would be the case too. Nope. This groomer was able to save her ears, poof, and tail!! She was 100% honest with me and told me she was matted pretty bad but she was going to do what she could to save any of her hair. Her cut took HOURS because she took her time to de-matt what she could. She also educated me on how to better brush my girl. Apparently I was getting the hair but not the root so I bought the appropriate brushes. My poodle was in heat and bleeding during the cut but GOFetch made sure to keep her away from any other dog & didn't mind the blood. The only "CON" I would have is they book up pretty fast. Appointments are about 2 months out so make sure to book in advanced because she is worth it!!!! read more

Our dog loves GOfetch. Every time we board him or send him to daycare, he is thrilled to go. Whether we're going into the office, have something to do for the day, are out of town, need our dog out of the house, or just want to give our dog something different to do (he gets bored being home with just the two of us while we work!), GOfetch is our answer. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they knew our dog well after just a couple of visits. They have cameras so we can check in on him when we're away, and he is always having a great time. They'll spend certain times of day doing enrichment/training activities with the dogs, too, which we appreciate. And we also love to have them give him a bath while he's there so he comes home cleaner than he got there, especially when we board him. Highly recommend! read more

I notice when my dog gets home he's so thirsty , he will drink 3/4 bowls of water when he gets home , while in the car breathing like crazy. I'm not sure why I don't see water down for the dogs I checked every angle on cameras . There is no water in site nor do I ever see her drink . Please allow water for dogs thank you. I've been using GoFetch's for about 2 years now. Our dog goes to their daycare services about 2-3 times a week and loves it! The dogs get training lessons in basic commands (sit, wait, focus, etc.) while they are at daycare. So your dog gets exercise as well as mental stimulation. Carly also provided us with one on one training for our dog and we've seen a drastic improvement in the way he behaves. Can't recommend this business enough! read more

I'm so sorry to write this review as I was so excited to go in after I read all the reviews! I was sure this would be my place for doggie daycare but sadly it is not going to work for me. I walked thru the door and smell urine.....ok......lots of dogs in there. The lady at the desk was so distracted with her printer not working, computer issues......she told me about it and then took two phone calls and was talking stern who was ever on the other end. I don't think she ever greeted me......was very awkward! She did say "sorry" to me after the second call. We left our dog, Bella, there for an hour for her temperament test and when we got back said she was nervous (she's 9 months old) and mainly stayed and stared at the gate. She is very playful but probably needs more time to get use to her surroundings. Another lady gave Bella back to me and I asked her how to sign up for seeing the cameras on my phone. I tried logging in on my phone and I'm not very good at all that, so I asked her if she could help me, she didn't seem like she wanted to and later told me she was sick so I understand that. She couldn't get the camera working on my phone and said others had the same problem and she would check into it? I asked if I could go in the back and see the facility and she did take me back. I just did not feel welcomed one bit and staff just didn't seem interested in making us feel welcomed! So I used to take my Sadie girl here, she was an older chow chow and she spent several years getting groomed here. It got harder on her so we stopped attending and then the pandemic did it's thing. Sadie passed and time passed and we were ready for a new pup. Along comes Moses the hot mess. He was a backyard breeder rescue. Covered in Poop and mats. I took care of that but his coat just kept getting worse with matting and felting so I set an appointment. For my sweet and beautiful 11 month old poodle/chihuahua mix, he was such a muppet. I loved that floppy muppet but he had so many mats and every time I gave him a bath it got worse. So we decided to start fresh and asked for a summer cut/shave with the floppy ears and cutest face. Do yourself a favor and do not take your dog to this place. I recently took my dog ONE day to daycare and she got sick a few days later. Took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with Kennel Cough. She is now on antibiotics. Later that same day I got an email from GOFetch saying some of their dogs had gotten sick. Before I could take my dog to daycare, they asked me to get her the flu shot which I did. She was due for her booster shot, but now since her immune system is low, the vet didn't want to administer the second shot. She now has to wait to be off medication and start all over. GoFetch's response? "There's nothing we can do. that's the risk you take for taking your dog to communal places. No matter how much we clean, the virus is in the air." Well, I understand that, but maybe they could do a better job making sure they don't take sick dogs in and ensure all dogs are up to date with their shots. I now have to see my poor baby coughing and taking meds. Needless to say, I'm never taking her to this place again. My dog has been to other daycares and she has never gotten sick. I have started researching other day cares that has cleaner facilities and caring staff. read more

This review is only for grooming. First of all, I definitely LOVE the daycare and it's staff. Carly is so attentive and honestly cares about the well being of the dogs. That being said, I'm honestly saddened and disappointed about the grooming aspect. I took my dog, Tofu, for a basic bath and nail trim. Zuly said they would have to shave her into a summer cut because she had so many mats. Understandable, but my regular groomer is able to take care of her without the excessive cutting. But what I am really upset is that my dog came out with a really bad bleed from her right back paw. The way Zuly explained the incident honestly didn't make sense. She said it was because my dog was thrashing in her crate. But the bleeding was coming from her back paw. Unless my dog was doing donkey kicks in the crate, I didn't find it plausible. Also, when I picked up my dog, Zuly didn't mention anything about the bleeding or that she tried to stop it from bleeding more. It wasn't until I felt something wet on my leg on the ride home and had to call when I noticed it. If she would've been upfront about it because I know my dog is a handful, then I wouldve been much more understanding. read more
