I love Go Fetch! I have left my precious animals in the care of this fine establishment for the last five years. My dogs jump out of the car to get into daycare each day. The facility is clean and free of the urine smell that Is you may find in other daycare/board facilities in some locations. I recently added a large dog to my family. He cannot wait to greet and play with all of his daycare friends. In addition, I utilize the training services and my large dog has been extremely responsive and much more behaved. We have also utilized the nature walks and the dogs love them (well my large one dog loves it). I recently left my dog for boarding when I took and 8-day summer vacation. One of my dogs became ill during his stay. Go Fetch contacted me and our veterinarian immediately. He was transported to the vet and treated. When I call and have to leave a message (they are really engaged with the dogs during daycare hours), my call is returned will return my promptly. Email is another good way to contact Go Fetch. I urge you to call, email, or contact Go Fetch through their website to discuss a daycare, training, boarding and/or grooming plan for your dog. Boarding is completely cage free! It is great to be greeted by familiar faces, it means that the staff enjoy their work and suggests that they treated well by the owners. We have been huge fans of goFETCH's daycare, training, and grooming services for almost two years but just recently had our pup stay for boarding for the first time. Our pup is used to snuggling up with us in bed every night, so we were worried about leaving her in boarding for the weekend. The goFETCH staff took AMAZING care of our pup. They don't kennel the dogs - they let them sleep in their own beds/crates in a big room, where they can roam, stretch, play to their hearts desire. Seriously, didn't think I could love goFETCH even more than I already did, but hearing what great care they provided for our dog for the weekend made me feel SO appreciative Long Beach has this gem of a business. We have an older deaf & blind miniature poodle and we've just moved back to Long Beach. We were concerned about finding a new groomer because he's our baby and our old groomer in Miami was just so awesome with him plus change is hard especially for older dogs. Yelp was our savior. I called goFETCH & they were so nice about all of my concerns, as well as being very patient with my worries. They put my mind at ease and I appreciated their approach to handling fur babies. I just want to say a big thank you to Katherine (Catherine?). I was searching for a dog trainer on yelp and I found about 4 or 5 that have good enough reviews to call. Katherine called me back within an hour or so, whereas i never heard back from some of the others, so already a good sign of communication and customer service. I was having trouble with my super smart puppy outsmarting me and her over excitement on walks as well as barking. Katherine came over for a free consultation. She is very laid back and down to earth. She came back for a first training and within a few minutes of our walk, with a few simple changes, i could see my puppy understanding that i am the alpha here. It often seems so simple what she advises, but it works. She came back another time and we worked on boundaries. and the last time she came was to focus on barking. My dog still barks but I am able to quiet her with ease which is really all you can ask of a dog. So, I would definitely recommend Katherine if you are looking for some helpful tips and someone who is very patient. Also her strategy is a mix of discipline with positive reinforcement. It is not all treats and smiles, there is actual discipline, she is ok with using "no" and a small jerk, which I truly feel is necessary and made the difference. She actually taught me how to do the jerk where it is not going to hurt my dog in any way. It is all about how you position the dog and hold the leash to begin with. She even taught me a trick with the leash that immediately slowed down my dog. Anyways, I learned a lot from 3 training sessions and feel I now have the tools to make my pup a super trained dog. Katherine was also able to answer a bunch of my questions on how to deal with other dogs with irresponsible owners who are not trained. How to tell if it is a dangerous situation vs. the dogs working it out on their own. Which really calmed my nerves when going to the dog park since my dog is superrrr social and doesnt really give up on being friends with other dogs. The facility is always clean and all of the staff are very friendly. The owner Carley is great - friendly, personable and always accommodating to my needs. Unfortunately, because I live in downtown, it's difficult for me to make it to goFETCH on a regular basis. I've had Katherine come to my home to help with training issues. They also have a twice monthly session for the problem children and it has been invaluable to me and my two young labs. Took my puppers, Lily, in for her temperament test a couple of days ago. I was able to watch on the webcam how she did and she did way better than I thought. i had taken her to another place but they called me after 5minutes and said she failed Aaron and Adam were very nice and helped explain the process for this nervous wreck of a dog mom. When it was time to pick her up she was super excited to see me which I was expecting. They went over how she did, how she reacted with them and also tips on how to get her more used to coming to doggy daycare. I just took her to her first official half day doggy daycare yesterday and I was so nervous, I propped my phone up on my desk and had the webcam going the whole time. I honestly didn't need to because they were so good at giving each dog pets, throwing the ball around, walking around making sure each dog was okay. Carly came out for a free, no charge consultation. I guess she liked us and we certainly liked her. She's been coming every week for almost a month now. It's where the dog is trained to go to her place (a towel). I used this method this weekend to get my poodle to sit between my legs on the paddle board. IT WORKED! This review is long overdue. We take our rescue pup April to GoFetch for everything! We've been going to GoFetch almost a year now and we always feel very secure about having our pup here. The folks at this daycare really truly care about dogs. Everyone there is really good at being pack leaders for all the dogs and making sure they're engaged throughout the day so that they come home relaxed and happy. They know us and our dog by name, and that level of personal customer service is priceless. Here's our experience with their services: Daycare - Our small dog loves daycare here! When we first started taking April here, her separation anxiety was strong, the caretakers here would sit with her and the other small dogs who were scared and make her feel secure. They always let us know if there's something going on (i.e. her tummy was upset) and we really appreciate the attention to detail. Our dog comes home from daycare here happy and tired (which is what you want when your dog goes to daycare). We'd taken April to another doggie daycare previously and she'd always be amped and like she was experiencing separation anxiety when she went to the other daycare. NOT AT GO FETCH! April comes home relaxed and she genuinely seems to trust everyone there. When we pull up and say "Wanna go to GoFetch?" our dog gets EXCITED! We like that she feels comfortable there. Boarding - We feel comfortable taking April here and that she'll be well taken care of based on our experience with daycare. We've had a lot of work travel lately and it's nice to know that when you have to be away your fur babies are well cared for and loved. Grooming - We usually just do nails and glands since our pup doesn't mind a bath at home, but we've always had a positive experience, April seems to handle their grooming well, and doesn't seem like it stresses her out, which is a big deal given that our dog is a rescue. Private Training - We also did private training with Katherine when we first adopted our dog. Got lots of great advice about our home and what we could do to make the environment more comfortable for our pup. She is very intuitive and seems to be able to see things from the mindset of our pup. All her tips really helped, we thought it'd be a year or more before we could take our rescue to a restaurant and she'd be calm, but we've been able to take April many places and she's manageable! PAD Camp/Training - We did PAD Camp earlier this year when we had just adopted our dog, and it was a good experience for our leash reactive rescue pup. She struggled with other dogs being there and would often bark. Carly was super patient with April and would always help us to figure out what would calm April and get her refocused on training. Carly is seriously great with dogs and you can tell she genuinely loves what she does. Shuttle - The shuttle is awesome! We do shuttle on the way home on days when we can't make it to pick up our doggie in time and the convenience of this service is one of the things that just makes GoFetch stand out about the rest! read more

I would not recommend this place. I brought my large and small dog in. My large dog is an older German Shepard, I specifically asked if they could do him with his arthritis and they said yes. It will take two hours. After 45 min. I was called to pick both dogs up and when My large dog walked to the door he collapsed. They would not help me with him to the car I had to use my sweat shirt as a harness to get him to and in the car. They denied dropping him or injuring him they had NO concern for him. I hope this place closes I almost had to put him down. He couldn't walk for a week. Where do I even begin with this place. GoFetch and their team have been a life saver for our family and our rescue dog, Mr. Bruce. He was rescued from a laboratory through the Beagle Freedom Project and was timid, terrified, and withdrawn when we adopted him. After months of settling in with our family we decided he needed to socialize with other dogs and get out into the world, and I am so happy we found this place. From the get-go, GoFetch had a plan in place and gave us methods to try at home and a schedule to follow to get him acclimated. It worked! It took a few weeks but before we knew it, he was wagging his tail and excited to get into the car for his days at GoFetch. I enrolled my mini Goldendoodle in behavioral training w/ Katherine for some one on one training with Bo... And me. I came to see her as my Cesar Milan and I fully trust her! I try take Bo to doggy classes they have on the first and third Sunday's of the month (though haven't been able to attend recently due to scheduling conflicts). And Katherine knows that not only is Bo anxious/aggressive around other dogs- but I get anxious as well. But she always puts me at ease. I reach out to her for any questions I have relating to Bo. And she's always more than open to help. I had a major scare on a Sunday night (last night) when Bo started limping. So I texted Katherine... She could obviously tell I was freaking out so she was kind enough to call me- and made me a feel a lot better! I took Bo to the pet hospital this morning- and he'll be ok! As soon as I adopted my pit bull puppy I knew I needed some help. We immediately signed up for private training lessons with Katherine and she was amazing! When they opened the daycare facility we were beyond excited!! Lola goes to daycare twice a week now and thanks to Katherine, Carley and the entire staff at goFETCH I can rest easy knowing she is in good hands. Most of the staff here are professional dog trainers which is so important to me because they are not just babysitting Lola but correcting her bad behaviors and helping me with the ongoing training of raising a dog. At other daycare facilities we have been to this is not the case and have actually been kicked out because they couldn't handle a high energy sometimes difficult pit bull. Just last week my boyfriend and I went on a week long vacation and were a little nervous leaving Lola for so long but the staff at goFETCH proved to be invaluable again and exceeded our expectations. My husband and I have a 5 month old french bulldog puppy named Floyd. When he first came home we did a lot of reading and thought that we had this whole puppy training thing under control. Fast forward a couple months and we realized that we had no idea what we were doing (he was biting, peeing on the carpet, and pulled constantly on his leash). My husband researched training on yelp and set up a consultation with FETCH. Everything about working with FETCH has been easy. Kira and Kathrine(?) came to our house to meet Floyd. They asked us what we were having trouble with and talked to us about how the training would work. By the end of our consult we were sold. We bought a package of classes that also includes a free (monthly?) group class. Floyd needs get down the basics before we can attend but we are looking forward to it. Kira works with us at our house. Every session includes a walk and homework. She has come over 3 times so far and we are seeing a lot of improvement with Floyd. He is better on a leash, he can sit, stay, and wait. This week when Floyd "forgot" that he knows how to heal Kira squeezed us in before our scheduled appointment so that we could get him back on track. I brought my two dogs in for the first time today. The ladies that work there are super friendly, the made me feel so comfortable. Both of my dogs are rescues, so they are very wary of strangers, but I was amazed of how they reacted to the staff, they just left with them usually they make a fuss when a stranger takes them, they must have felt save. I left them the whole day when we arrived home they completely knocked out. Thank you for making me feel comfortable and letting my babies have such a wonderful day. The owners care deeply about dogs and have created a business based on their personal desires as dog owners. The staff is professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. Their attention to detail is impeccable. My dog had somehow gotten a small cut on her side one night. Not a big deal. U could barely notice it through her fur. The next day after dropping her off at goFetch for daycare I get a call from them telling me that they found a small wound on her side and that they cleaned it up with antiseptic and just wanted to let me know about it. It made me feel that this is a place that really cares about the pets that they watch over. I would definitely recommend Carley for dog training. She made training fun and really helped us get our puppy to master the behavioral basics of sit, stay, and come. You will appreciate the training when your dog gets loose and away from you but comes back when you call their name instead off thinking it's a game and running away from you into traffic. Last year, I started fostering a lab-ish puppy named Simon. Simon had an extraordinary amount of energy. He pulled so hard on the leash, I thought he might hurt himself. Planning to rehome him, I wanted to get some basic obedience training for him to make him the best possible puppy for his new home. When Carley came for our consultation, I could tell right away that she would be the trainer for us. I didn't want a psychic. I didn't want a trainer who would tell me that I couldn't interact with my pet the way I wanted to. I was looking for a practical trainer, with practical tips. She was nice, personable, and I could tell she knew exactly where I was coming from. Perfect obedience doesn't happen overnight. But as we worked through our training sessions, Simon improved his leash walking skills. Then one day, Carley and I were walking Simon, chatting away, and we stopped. Simon sat down without a word spoken. I'll never forget it. I mouthed to Carley, "He sat!" She mouthed back, "I know!" And like that, at once, all the work was realized. Simon loves Carley. When he was a puppy, he never missed an opportunity to pee on her foot. She always took it in stride and laughed it off. Now that he's a bit older...and still with me because I could never give him up...he still gets so excited to see her (but he does spare her the pee). She truly loves animals and it shows. There are a few F.E.T.C.H. clients in my neighborhood. And every time I see them walking down the street, I am impressed with how well they behave. The look like they have been trained by the best. After using another daycare service, my wife and I have found the attention paid to our Dodger at goFETCH is above and beyond anything we could hope for. After only one day of daycare, the staff here had learned Dodger's sometimes grumpy demeanor, and have the sense to treat him accordingly. We are working with Katherine for private lessons, and she is absolutely awesome. She works on what we want to work on so that we feel like we are getting what we need out of the training sessions. We have been bringing our two labs (70 lbs each) to goFETCH for awhile. Our dogs are always TIRED and HAPPY at the end of the day. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the facility is clean, and they are able to accommodate your pet's needs (feeding schedule, meds, etc.). They temperament test your dog prior to your first session and require all vaccinations to ensure the overall health and safety of the facility. Carley (co-owner) used to train our dogs previously and is a wealth of knowledge. We have used the overnight and grooming services also. Both come highly recommended and are extremely convenient especially for an extended day out, vacation, or if there's renovations getting done at home.
