This review is long overdue! We have been Pet Waggin walk/pet sitting clients since our now 2 year old chocolate lab, Hank has been a puppy. They are reliable, professional, and genuinely care about the dogs they work with. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing he's in such good hands while we're at work or away. Communication is excellent (which I really appreciate), they're always punctual, and you can tell they truly care about what they do. (Plus they're all excellent photographers and capture such sweet faces of our guy!) Online scheduling is so convienient & easy to navigate. Highly recommend to anyone looking for trustworthy and caring dog walkers/sitters. Thank you to all of you that care for our cocoa loco boy- (especially Sadie who has stayed with him on different occasions while we are away) he appreciates it as much as we do With much love & gratitude, Christina, Frank and Hank read more

I've been with Pet Waggin since 2012 and through two different dogs! Mary Ellen and her team are amazing! From Dog Park, Pet Visits to Travel they're always top notch and definitely know your pets! I would recommend them to everyone. Friends always ask about them, but only in Long Beach, sorry! read more

I normally don't leave reviews, but I wanted to take the time to let people know how great they are--especially Sadie and Anthony ( and Mary Ellen of course! ) . They always upload photos with detailed reports every time they visit my babies (my golden lab and pit bull), which gives me so much peace of mind. My golden lab is 15 and needs special care, and they are so patient with her and really understand her needs. They also know exactly how to handle my 13-year-old pit bull, which means a lot to me. They are incredibly caring, loving, and kind, and they always do their best to accommodate my last-minute schedule changes. Communication is easy and consistent, which I really appreciate. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and compassionate care! read more

I've been using Pet Waggin' for a few years now to watch my indoor and outdoor cats. They even supported my efforts to feed strays and wild birds! I have dedicated sitters, so they get to know my cats and the cats get to know them. They know how to manage things at my home when I'm gone, and always treat my home with respect and care. On one trip I had an emergency with a cancelled flight, and they were able to extend services so my animals were well cared for until I got back. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

I needed someone to watch my two cats (one with medical needs) while I was out of town for the holidays. I've tried a handful of dog walking services and this one is by far the very best. My girls are new to the experience of having dog walkers. Let's just say that we couldn't be happier with Pet Waggin' Pet Care. Shout out to Tina and Melissa. We have had nothing but positive experiences so far. We appreciate the patience and caring and funny report cards. It's obvious that you all care a lot about animals and know how to earn their trust and inspire them to be the best little doggos they can be. My dogs are even becoming better behaved in the last few weeks since we started the service! I almost fell out of my chair when my super demanding pup sat patiently for a treat from me the other day. And my other pup who is super shy and nervous on walks is becoming more comfortable and relaxed. And Mary Ellen was super welcoming in our interview and answered all my questions when first starting and keeps the good treats coming for our girls. Really appreciate you all! read more

I absolutely love the services provided by Pet Waggin' Pet Care. My dogs love them too, which is awesome and a huge relief for my husband and I. We have two medium-sized dogs that were rescued from the dog meat trade in South Korea. As such, both dogs battle with anxiety and trust issues with humans, especially strangers. We appreciate the holistic care and patience the Pet Waggin' Pet Care team provide to our Barney and Appa. They never push the dogs to do anything outside their comfort zone and care for them like they were their own pets. I refer to my dog walkers, Randy, Brianna, and now Sadie, as the dog whisperers. Now Barney and Appa get excited when their dog walkers/friends are here to take them out and mom is happy that she can get some quality sleep in between working night shift as a nurse. Scheduling services is super easy via a user-friendly app or even through the website. Response time is quick too. I love the fact that I get a daily "report card" and pictures from their walk. Who doesn't love to see their pets smiling faces! We highly recommend Pet Waggin' Pet Care. It has helped Appa and Barney with their anxiety issues and helped them see humans in a more positive light. When we first got Appa, she would not walk with anyone but me. It took awhile for her to even let my husband walk her alone. Now she is becoming more confident and is excited to see her dog walkers at the door! My husband and I are happy, because we can see a future in which we can actually go on vacations alone and finally go on our honeymoon, thanks to having dog walkers/dog sitters that we trust to care for our amazing fur-babies! Please check out their services. You won't be disappointed! read more

My wife and I I have been using Pet Waggin to take care of our kitties when go out of town. The care is amazing! If we are gone more than a day we usually have them come visit twice a day, morning and evening. Unfortunately for them, we have a list of things to check when they visit, which we have all written down on a sheet posted in the kitchen for them. Each visit they clean the litter boxes (2) fill their dry food bowls, change the water and give them treats. Besides our critters we ask them to put outside some walnuts for the squirrels and the birds. The best part of it all is that they send us a report of the visit with photos of each of the fur balls. They don't always pose but they always figure out how to snap a picture, even under the bed sometimes. Their team is very qualified and has even helped us with giving medication. The peace of mind we get from Pet Waggin is beyond satisfaction. I highly recommend them for any of your pets needs. Thank you for taking care of our family! read more

Our boys love every human at Pet Waggin. Melissa is our regular walker and she is amazing with our oldest boxer. He is afraid of his own shadow..she has helped him tremendously to the point where I think he just might like going on walks now. When we started our walks he would struggle to leave the house and now he powers through his fears and is more like a "normal" dog. Our youngest is up for any challenge and loves going every where and doing everything. The whole staff is wonderful they bring puzzles for the boys to work on and they really love the challenge. Our youngest is a lucky boy and gets to go to the dog park with Mary Ellen and his buddies. We are so lucky to have the Pet Waggin team help with our boys. read more

I wanted to support a local independent business when I needed someone to take care of my cat while I went out of town, and Pet Waggin' came recommended by a friend who has been using them for years. The whole process was so personal and tailored to my needs, and I was able to leave knowing that my cat would be in good hands. It's very easy to get set up in their system and they have you input tons of information (including their microchip number) so that they're properly prepared to care for your pet in any situation that might arise. They schedule a meet and greet for your pet's sitter to meet the pet and come by the house to ask any questions while you're there. Lanie was so kind and gentle with my cat and my cat took to her right away. This really is a full service shop. They can take your pets for walks while you're at work or care for them while you go out of town. I liked that their out of town service includes checking on the house, getting the mail, etc. They use the Time to Pet app for communication which was so handy with keeping everything in one place and Lanie sent me a recap and tons of photos of my girl each day. It really feels like they genuinely care for your pet and I was so happy that Lanie did a fabulous job while I was gone. Their prices are very affordable and you can leave a tip in the app as well. I guess I can start going out of town more often! read more

I've known Pet Waggin for some years now. The owner, Mary Ellen, is organized, caring, and harder working than anyone I know. Their staff training program is incredible, and the experience is extensive. This isn't a fly-by-night type of business or a kid trying to make extra money. This is a legitimate business with real employees. If you are going to trust someone with access to your home and your loved pet, do it with Pet Waggin! It's worth it. read more

I have been using Pet Waggin' for five years now. Mary Ellen and her staff have done a terrific job taking care of my two cats when I travel. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pet Waggin' to anyone needing dog walking or cat-sitting services. read more

Unfortunately they left me high and dry! I filled out their online form to reserve a cat sitting on July 15 and received an appointment for July 23 to discuss my needs. I was a little nervous that this was a week and a half later, but trusted that Pet Waggin' would come through. I have been watching this company for a while and hoped to later book them for dog walking and sitting too when I needed it. When I finally received the call, it turned out that they couldn't come at the times that I needed. Not ideal, but I was willing to change around the dates and times a bit. Then I suggested (in a friendly way) that to avoid misunderstandings like this they might want to change their intake form to include a section where new clients can fill in details about specific times for visits. The response? In a cold voice, "I don't think we'll be a good fit." Now I have only 5 days to find someone to take care of my cat! I see other reviews on here about the owner's lack of customer service ethic and this inability to accept constructive criticism falls right in line with that. read more

We've been working with Pet Waggin since our dog was four months old! From the first meet and greet, I was reassured by their thoughtful, caring approach. As our pup got older, it became clear he was fearful and reactive to loud noises outside. He also went through a period of time where he had random allergic reactions. Mary Ellen, Melissa, Tina, and Mary Clare were the best dog sitters throughout these challenges, suggesting great enrichment activities as an alternative to walks, adjusting their treats to adhere to dietary restrictions, and even sharing their experiences on what worked with their own dogs so that we could learn. They care for our pup as if he's their own, and we love the prompt and thorough updates they send after each visit. We also love that they collaborate with Underdogs to train their staff! Mary Ellen is highly organized, and proactively communicates with us as she sets the schedule. Our pup is now nearly 2, and this is the only team we trust with his care! read more

Amazing service. Easy to schedule. Very knowledgeable about dogs. Sadie and Max are amazing. My dogs love them.

Pet Waggin' has been my only pet sitting service for going on 8 years, first with just one cat, and now for our 3 cats! Their service has always been excellent, but now it's gone up to another level since they've started using the Time To Pet website and app. You input all your data about your pets and your home, so that everyone is working from the same info at all times. Best of all, all the communication happens within the app, which means there is a record of all the messages and pictures that you exchange with the service--so much better than texting! We got to use it for the first time last week when we finally got to go out of town for a long weekend and I loved it! You get a notification when the sitter starts the service, and they send a little summary with pics at the end of the visit to let you know how your pets are doing. All the sitters are so caring and professional; I feel more confident in their service than ever. Being away from our pets is hard, but knowing that Pet Waggin' is taking care of them makes it easier, and I can't wait to give them more business once we can travel like we used to again! read more

If you have a pet you adore, like I do, I highly recommend Pet Waggin' Pet Care. I have a rescue husky who absolutely adores his visits from Pet Waggin.' The service I received from this company has been nothing short of first class. I use them to feed and walk my dog twice a day when I'm out of town. The app updates you when they arrive and when they leave and they send you photos and a written summary of their visit. I love these updates as they are informative and also funny. read more

We started with Pet Waggin' a few months ago and we could not be any happier! Max (our regular walker) and Sandra (our sub) have been so instrumental in helping shape Sierra's walking behavior. Max right away gave us some great tips to use both on our walk and in our home (certain commands/positive reinforcement/fun puzzles) and we've seen great results! Max also does a GREAT job of leaving notes regarding what they worked on together and what we can continue guiding Sierra with. She absolutely ADORES her time with Max (and Sandra) and honestly, what more can you ask for? read more

I love Pet Waggin Pet Care, but more importantly, Lily the Golden Retriever and Sassy the Schnauzer love it! Max and Brenda have gotten to know my dogs well, and gear walks/enrichment towards what they need and where they are in their training. Sassy was 5 months old when they started walking her. No walking "experience" or training per se, but with their patience and training experience they have helped her to be better walking on a leash, as well as helped her potty training (did you know Schnauzers are ridiculously stubborn?). Now that she's a little older, they reinforce training I'm doing in the home. Having her "sit" and "down" and other manners that help to keep the dogs safe and owners sane. I can't recommend them highly enough. They are reasonably priced, and go above and beyond. I haven't even mentioned that they fill the girls water bowl and bring in any packages that may have been left out. And I LOVE the lovely pics and reports they give after every walk. If you're searching for a great, trustworthy company to entrust your animals with, you've found it! read more

I cannot believe I have not yet written a review. This is a highly dependable business with nothing but professionals. Easy scheduling system, highly communicative, and easy invoicing with tipping options. This is a women owned, small business who is highly involved in her community. We first reached out for our first pup, Bruce to have outings while we were away at work in, I think 2018. She did a meet n greet and brought him into her pack. I most appreciated that she treated him like one of her own and we left him in her care multiple times when going out of town. He loved his pack friends and always came home exhausted from his outing. Bruce passed away in an accident and it was hard on all of us. Fast forward to 2022 and we now have two doodles. Mary Ellen picks up my two doodles on Wednesdays and whisks them off to the park. She's incredibly patient as they both are high energy pups and have taken to jumping on her when she arrives. We're working on this. Winnie is also very vocal and I have waited for Mary Ellen to tell me she couldn't take Winnie anymore because of her constant barking especially when in the pup bus but she hasn't given up on her. We have weekly park pick ups and the occasional dog walk. I really appreciate the photos and report cards. So fun to see the pups having a great time. Again, highly responsible, dependable, and professional. read more

I travel frequently for work in addition to vacations and I have a Ragdoll cat that needs the same kind of attention and love as a dog. Pet Waggin' treats my cat like royalty, giving him all the love he craves while I'm gone. They have been my go-to service since 2016, and the only reason I would leave is because I'm moving out of the area. Although my cat and I will miss them terribly, I know that whomever takes my place will get the same red carpet treatment and care. Amazing team, extremely well-run business; definitely the best pet sitters in Long Beach! read more

I cannot say enough positive things about this business. We've been using them to care for our three cats (Emmy, Carly and Maggie) for several years now and every single time my wife and I remark on how great their service is. From their online scheduling app to their thorough questionnaire about your pet to their photos and communication, they are simply amazing. Our family likes to travel but also loves our animals and Pet Waggin's real-time updates as to their arrival and their (often comical) summaries and pictures of the visit are something we always look forward to. You can customize the length and type of visit you want as well. Once you're "set up" with then the scheduling of services couldn't be easier, more professional or more reliable. We simply love them. read more

I seriously never leave Yelp reviews, but I wish I could rate Pet Waggin' and their team 1,000,000 stars instead of just 5! We've used their cat sitting services multiple times when we're out of town and every single time we are so put at ease and confident that our cats are receiving the best care out there. Every sitter with Pet Waggin' is an amazing communicator, which means they'll let you know when they've started and ended their visit with your pets. They'll also send you such cute photos of your fur babies which helps a lot when you're missing them! Before we found Pet Waggin', I was so nervous and had so much anxiety about the thought of leaving the cats alone for multiple days. The second I got on the phone with Mary Ellen, I immediately felt so comfortable and relived that I knew it was going to be okay to leave the cats at home. Mary Ellen and the sitters are so, so thorough and are sure to think of every possible outcome/emergency so that everyone is prepared god forbid something we're to happen with your pet. We recently moved out of Long Beach to Orange County and one of the biggest factors we were considering when leaving LB was the fear of not finding cat sitters half as amazing as Pet Waggin'. They are the only sitting service who has ever watched our cats. I emailed Mary Ellen to let her know we were sad to go, but to also ask if she had anyone she could refer us to for OC pet sitting. She gave us some amazing, trusted resources to help try and find a sitter out here. We are so extremely grateful for everything Pet Waggin' has done for us. Coming from a "neurotic" crazy cat mom, this is the place to go for your pet sitting needs! Here are just a few adorable photos over the course of multiple visits we were sent of our fur babies! Thank you Mary Ellen and the entire Pet Waggin' team for everything you've done for us, Billie, and Elvis! We will miss you! read more

Pet Waggin has been absolute life saver for us. We are the owners of two big pups, Gus our Bernedoodle and Zoe our Chocolate Labrador who are in need of constant attention and exercise. We have Pet Waggin walk our dogs twice a week and take them to the dog park on the other two days of the week. Mary Ellen and her team feel like family. They love and care for Gus & Zoe just like it was one of their own. We get adorable photos during their visits. They are friendly with our neighbors who also speak highly of Mary Ellen and the team and are always mentioning to us how impressed they are with Pet Waggin. We recently worked with their dog trainer Noah who came to the house to train with Gus & Zoe. In just 6 short lessons they have had a complete transformation. They now stay by our side when we walk them and wait patiently on their beds when guests arrive at our home. Two issues we have been dealing with for years till Noah arrived! Noah was also incredibly patient with my husband and I, where he gave us detailed & written feedback, tips & tricks on how to keep up with the training. Mary Ellen and Noah when above and beyond and even spent time with the dog walkers to teach them so they could continue practicing with while on their weekly walks. I highly recommend Pet Waggin. Mary Ellen and the Pet Waggin' Pet Care team have been cat sitting for our cat (JiJi) for several years, and the level of care they have provided to JiJi throughout our many out-of-town trips has been exceptional! It has been obvious from the level of care which JiJi has received that they truly care about the welfare and well-being of their furry "clients". They are dependable and prompt and have always done everything they can do to accommodate our travel, even when travel has been last-minute due to family emergencies. Our JiJi tends to be shy, and the Pet Waggin' team always knows exactly how much to entertain her and care for her while respecting her comfort zone. They also go above and beyond their responsibilities by doing things like closing windows on a rainy day, cleaning an occasional potty accident, or bringing packages inside from our doorstep. The peace of mind they provide when we are away from home is invaluable!
