ComicX looked really cool from the videos I'd seen online and I was really excited to check this place out. You can make reservations but depending on the time of day, you may not need to. The decorations were really awesome here, with aN upstairs that is Star Wars themed, a Harry Potter themed area downstairs by the bar, and so much more. The food however, was just ok. Nothing really stood out to me from the menu, so I asked our waitress Emily what was popular. She said the Croc burger 2.0 was the best thing on the menu. I don't usually go for burgers, but I decided to give this one a chance. It was just ok. Not really a lot of flavor, even the sauce that came with it was pretty basic. They did have a cocktail drink that was supposed to be based off of Baby Yoda, and it was super cute. I asked if they could make it non-alcoholic and they did, but it just ended up being really sweet. Our server Emily was awesome though and very patient when answering all of our questions about the menu. If you enjoy comic book characters and other popular fantasy/sci-fi characters, you should definitely give this place a try, as the decor here is really cool. But maybe just stick to the bar, or do appetizers only. read more

ComicX certainly is a good place to experience at least once as it's one of it's own kind. Service was good, I can tell they were probably short staffed but they did well nonetheless. The avocado fries were only good bc of the sauce, and the presentation wasn't too appealing. Maybe if the plating was different, and the fries were cut thinly it could've added an extra wow factor. The mozzarella sticks were okay. The marinara sauce had sprinkles of cheese in it which seems to be their signature thing- the avocado fries were also that way. The Croc burger came with hair in it, but I was given another for free. After seeing that though, it was hard to want to eat it. Thumbs up for the sweet potato fries though! The fettuccine was good, and the bread was tasty. Slightly burnt, but not bad. The chicken was slightly over seasoned. Overall, it was more of a one time experience. The seating left little room between the entrance and my table so it was also slightly difficult to feel comfortable as there was constantly an in and out of people as well as people trying to grab pictures with the Hulk and people leaning against my booth to take pictures. read more

This is a restaurant for children, that's it. Not adults who happen to enjoy comics and Marvel movies. It was cold and smelled like cleaning products. The decor was ok, but nothing amazing. The service was lovely, but the food was not. We asked the server if we should get chicken or beef on the nachos and he immediately said chicken bc the beef would make them soggy. Ringing endorsement! Guess what? They were soggy anyway, but I guess less soggy. I'm not sure why they felt the need to bring food on wheeled vessels. I couldn't help but wonder how many times they'd gone rolling off the table. I didn't even bother to take a picture of my "salad" which was a whole head of chopped iceberg topped with a frozen chicken patty (doused in buffalo sauce). We had a party of 5 and we got there right before they opened. There were about 10 people out front waiting and once we got seated more tables began to fill up quickly. The entire place is decked out in Disney and comic book characters. I can totally see this as a restaurant inside of Disneyland or universal studios or something. We ordered some corn ribs, burgers, salmon and the chimichanga. Everything passed the flavor test and the portions were super human lol. Our server was on top of her A-game, refilling drinks and checking on us often enough. There were about 4 birthday celebrations in the hour and a half that we were there and we made sure to clap along lol. Food was decent not too bad tasted pretty good prices are ehh a little high for appetizers, but pretty much the standard of prices of food nowadays. The service was good. Everything pretty average here. The only beef is that they don't include Friday as part of Happy Hour. All food I tried or saw was good. My supreme cheesesteak came with the wrong kind of fries and the sandwich had too many sweet peppers. The guac was excellent, but was marred by mostly stale chips and those chips were not sturdy enough to hold the guac anyways. A pretty well set up comic book themed restaurant in a mall. Ate at 1/6/2024 Ambiance/Cleanliness-Walked in about 1:30 and sat at the bar....there was quite a wait for the restaurant proper. Kind of generic from the outside, but the interior is quite a bit like a comicbook geeks happy place. I liked it a lot, very clean, bustling, great vibe. 4 stars Service-Wish I could remember our server's name, sweet, animated lady that helped us and really made us feel welcome. She was funny, attentive and informative. 5 stars Food-I had a cheesesteak, sweet potato fries and a coke. When I checked out the menu, wasn't super excited to try anything as it looked pretty basic and over priced. All I ordered were some fries which weren't very good and a soda to share. What do two comic collectors & empty-nesters do on their first Saturday without the kids? These two went to ComicX Restaurant Bar & Store @comicxusa and had a Super Dinner! This spot is great for kids and birthday parties! The booth next to us was celebrating and the restaurant brought out a cake with a lit sparkler in the center and a comic-style birthday sign while singing. There is an upstairs seating area (stair & elevator access) with restrooms, and Chewbacca and Darth Vader life-sized statues. There are tables and booths downstairs, more restrooms, and a separate bar room for those older kids who may want a fun date. Several super hero statues and theme areas are placed throughout the downstairs rooms. I had so much fun walking through each room! Everywhere I looked, there was something comic, sci-fi, or fantasy related. There are several TVs also playing Justice League and other superhero cartoons. A couple mini video games sit on the bar and there's an arcade and prize area at the back of the restaurant. Our server was very polite and recommended the most fun menu items. First, let's start by saying this place has some new rules. They are no longer accepting walk-ins after 5 pm due to prioritizing existing reservations. I didn't know this prior to arrival, but I was lucky because there was room at the bar. This place is amazing! I took some pictures of the place so you can see the level of detail. It was a great place to hang out for the weekend. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the food and dessert as well. There was three different plates ordered: I got the jugger with the sweet potato fries, and it was simply amazing. Good sized burger that was cooked to perfection and some well executed fries. Don't waist your money or time. The food was disgusting. My husband and I got the filly fries as an appetizer and then both got their bacon cheeseburger. I couldn't eat maybe more than two bites of their fries, and then once we got to the burger it was even worse. My hubby will eat anything. He could only eat a quarter into the burger before he stopped. Not only was the quality of food terrible but the price is absolutely ridiculous. $20 for awful burger and mediocre fries? My son got the kids cheese and butter pasta which was a SMALL bowl, could've made it at home for less than $2, but this cost $13. No sides, or anything else offered. Wow wow wow!!! Honestly, worth every single penny. My brother and I had an Infinity Challenge Burger (one each) -- and it was delicious! I couldn't finish mine. Each burger came with fries. I had the garlic parm fries and *chef kiss*! The drinks were also amazing! The service was great too! Everyone we came across was bilingual and spoke Spanish. This place is so cool. I love all the decor. So here's a few things to consider when coming here. What is your purpose for coming here... the food...or the ambiance? The food is average tasting but with some cute presentation but nothing above and beyond, so don't be disappointed the menu is the same as most places same dishes same sides with their spin on them. If you're here to check out this place, then plan accordingly. If you want to walk around and take pictures, then don't come during their busy time, aka weekends or evenings, because you will be disappointed. Imagine this a museum with tables everywhere. You can walk around take pics etc while waiting for your food but if there's purple sitting at those tables it won't be as easy to get everywhere and see everything. We went on a Wednesday 4pm and it was slow enough for us to enjoy. We left at 7 it was packed with a line out the door. You could barely walk by without bumping into staff or customers walking around trying to check out everything. Make reservations so you don't have to wait. I was actually really looking toward to taking my daughter here and it was very underwhelming. To start the customer service was awful. Our server never checked on us. I had to ask the host for silverware. The taquitos tasted like they were from the box. The kids spaghetti had very little flavor. I stopped here for a quick lunch between soccer games. The place is superhero/movie character themed. I got there around noon and was able to be sat right away. The hosts were super friendly. My server came over right away and took my drink order. For my food I ordered the quesadilla off the appetizer menu. Their quesadilla is different than most places. It has slices of red bell pepper and onion slices sautéed in it. The thing is HUGE!! It was very flavorful and fresh. I only ate about 1/3 of it because of the size. After my meal I was told you can order a half order so if you're there by yourself and want to try it maybe just do a half order. Overall my experience here was good. It's clean and the employees were all super nice. People were allowed to walk around and look at all the different decorations and props. I thought that was cool because it's part of the experience of going here is to see everything. I would recommend this place to people and I'd bring my family here if/when I'm in the area again. Aside from the pretty good menu they offer there is also life size statues of all your favorites just at just about every turn and bend in this place. The interior is wonderfully decorated with comic book and movie memorabilia, and they've taken the care to theme various sections of the restaurant to different fandoms. We sat in the Star Wars section on the second floor, but there are spaces for Marvel, DC, and Harry Potter. Terribly disgusting food! Probably one of the worst places I've eaten. The kids Chicken tenders were most likely microwaved right out of the freezer. My steak tacos came out with tortilla made of cardboard and the boneless chicken tasted like rotten breading drenched in sauce. You will need to bring a magnifying glass if you're interested in reading the descriptions of the horrible items on their menu. I would have to say my first time to Comic x months ago, maybe a year ago was meh. Like the food and service was sub par. It was something to experience but nothing memorable or making me wanting to come back. Fast forward to today and my friend had asked about a kid friendly restaurant to grab food with us and I recommended Comic X as she has never been and she has 2 little ones. I was like they would think this restaurant is so cool! This would be an equivalent to a disney/universal studios experience to a 6 and 2 year old. They absolutely loved it. We were the first ones there and were seating right. Y Alvin and the Chipmunks. A little weird seating being under stairs, and like I said we were the first ones there so there were plenty of other open seats. Our waiter today was phenomenal! His name is Travis, I would recommend asking for him! He is patient, attentive, and super friendly. He even kept checking on the 2nd order of chicken tenders for the 2 year old as his food didn't come out with all of our food. I think the kitchen honestly forgot and Travis made sure we got it. Found this place on a page on instagram. Decided to take the 30 drive and check it out. It is a super cute hangout spot that combines the love for comic books with dining. it offers a unique experience for comic book enthusiasts and foodies alike. Let's start with the positives. The theme and decor of ComicX are impressive - it truly feels like stepping into a comic book. The walls adorned with colorful superhero memorabilia. It was clearly designed with careful attention to detail, making a nice visual treat. The concept is definitely its biggest selling point There is a wide range of options for food ensuring there is something for everyone. We opted for the tower of mozzarella (3/5 taste) fish and chip (4/5 taste) avocation fries (5/5 taste) and kids pocket burgers (5/5 taste and big!) Our waitress was also very nice, welcoming and consistently checked in to make sure everything was ok. The downside was the broken AC upstairs, making it a less enjoyable experience.
