I tried Ranch House Grille on a Sunday morning around 11, and overall I'm glad I went. It's a solid local breakfast spot with a quieter vibe and a dog friendly patio. The patio wasn't packed when I arrived, though the inside was busy. By the time I left, a line had started forming, so anything before noon is probably ideal. One practical note, they take Apple Pay. Also worth knowing, they don't serve alcohol. I ordered the chicken fried steak with the gravy on the side, and it was really good. The seasoning was spot on, the crust was crispy, and it didn't need any extra salt. The only downside was that about half of it was crust rather than meat, but I'd still order it again and would recommend it. Eggs over hard were cooked well. The hash browns weren't as crispy as requested, and the sourdough toast was good but light on butter. Service was friendly but rushed. Our waitress was nice and clearly busy. Once the food was dropped, there wasn't much follow up, which felt more like a staffing issue than anything else. Overall, this feels like a true local diner with better than average food, a calm atmosphere, and a really solid chicken fried steak. Large portions of good food. I will say lots of reviews talk about the best Chile Verde. Certainly not the case with our visit. While good, IMO it needed more meat, and less red chili flakes & cayenne pepper. Focus more on the green.. Chicken Fried Steak was very good and the eggs were as well. The sourdough toast was good. Probably great on a sammie. Huevos Rancheros w/ chile verde again was ok. But probably shouldn't have added the chile verde. Great service. read more

Good god this food is terrible. We ordered it to go and that was probably mistake number one. The waffles taste like the waffles you get at hotel free breakfast. 2/10. The chicken wasn't too bad seasoned but dry in the middle. They didn't give us any condiments. So I had to eat my food dry. I almost choked. I would not recommend this place or order again. On and the Arnold Palmer must have been made with powered lemonade and tea because that was nasty too. Now the French toast, it was ok. Came cold with no syrup. The bread was so soggy, how if it didn't have syrup? It didn't have much flavor either so the syrup was really needed. The eggs was standard. Thankfully they didn't get that wrong. Ok lastly the chicken fried steak and gravy. This must be their special because this was good must husband enjoyed it and he's a picky eater. I usually have the chicken fried steak with the Southwest style pork chili Verde, which I love. Today I tried the Reuben sandwich just for a change of place. I was totally disappointed, because there was no swiss cheese, and just a little bit of sauerkraut. The toasted rye bread was great, but it wasn't enough to save the sandwich. Met friends for lunch today. When I drove up, all the parking spots were taken so had to park next door. Got to watch because some of those parking spots were designated and they will tow. I also realized I'd eaten here some 5 years ago, just didnt remember when I selected the spot. It's very small inside, they had a cute patio but it was 113 degrees, we weren't sitting outside. I had the chicken fried steak meal, with okra, it was very good. The service was quite slow, but we weren't in a hurry and maybe the waiter understood this. It was ok with me but I thought that someone on their lunch break might not be OK with the slow speed. The waiter was personable buy also a little off. My friend had several questions about the menu and her preferences, but after she ordered the waiter commented about getting thru the ordeal or something like that. I was afraid he hurt her feelings but we didn't discuss it. Probably not the appropriate response to customers. I have to come back so I can try their catfish. read more

We were greeted as soon as we walked in and told to choose our seats. We opted for the back corner. LOL, I knew at that point that they are on it with wiping down tables. The table was clean and clear but the seats were still warm from the previous patrons. It was a cheery, casual, clean environment. The menu had a good variety of items that it took me a while to finally decide on what to order. I opted for the green chile omelette, and was not disappointed! Since they offer loco moco, I knew that they had white rice, so I picked that as my side instead of a potato type. Hey, if you grew up flip, you knew rice goes with anything really. Portions were a good size. My friend got the Irish Breakfast Burrito and was pleased with the product. I was able to taste that, too. AND we weren't aware there was an upcharge for pancakes as a side (possibly our fault -- is it stated on the menu?) but server also did not clarify when she gave us the choice of "toast, biscuits & gravy, or pancake." Kinda sounded like those are your included options. AND they charge a credit card fee, which again, maybe we didn't see that posted somewhere, but would have been nice to know. First time here and meet a few friends for an early breakfast on a Friday morning. It was way busier then I was expecting it to be. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a friendly welcome. Luckily there was an available table when we walked in so we were seated immediately. The place is pretty small so the tables are pretty cramb in there. To get to our table we had to squeeze through a few chairs. Our server greeted us within minutes and took our drink order. When she came back with out drinks she was ready to take our order. Once we ordered it wasn't long after we had our plates in front of us. We all enjoyed everything. Our server continued to check in us and make sure everything was good. First time here. OMG what a great place. Sign said sit anywhere. Cute dinner room. Very cozy and lots of fun stuff in the walls. Place looks spotless! We grabbed a seat and honestly it was just the best service!! We decided on breakfast. I had eggs with hash browns and sausage links. And English muffin ( perfect toasted) Husband got 3 eggs.. hash browns a biscuit /gravy and " silver dollar" pancakes side. Wow... huge pancakes... can't imagine how big the regular pancakes are!! My mom and I went for brunch and it was perfect! I ordered Audrey's crepes with strawberries and was very pleased with it. As you can tell our food was very good. I had the lumberjack breakfast and my wife had the strawberry crepes. I also had a cup of chili verde. I really enjoyed it but I wasn't a fan of the tomatillo skin in it. Over all the service was amazing, the food was delicious and the restaurant was welcoming and very comfortable.
