Patio Area

I tried Ranch House Grille on a Sunday morning around 11, and overall I'm glad I went. It's a solid local breakfast spot with a quieter vibe and a dog friendly patio. The patio wasn't packed when I arrived, though the inside was busy. By the time I left, a line had started forming, so anything before noon is probably ideal. One practical note, they take Apple Pay. Also worth knowing, they don't serve alcohol. I ordered the chicken fried steak with the gravy on the side, and it was really good. The seasoning was spot on, the crust was crispy, and it didn't need any extra salt. The only downside was that about half of it was crust rather than meat, but I'd still order it again and would recommend it. Eggs over hard were cooked well. The hash browns weren't as crispy as requested, and the sourdough toast was good but light on butter. Service was friendly but rushed. Our waitress was nice and clearly busy. Once the food was dropped, there wasn't much follow up, which felt more like a staffing issue than anything else. Overall, this feels like a true local diner with better than average food, a calm atmosphere, and a really solid chicken fried steak. Not a loud or boozy brunch spot, but a good choice if you want something simple and reliable. I'd go back. Deserves 3.5 stars.

My friend and I stopped here this morning both had the chicken fried steak with the pork Verde sauce eggs hashbrowns toast what a delicious breakfast you cannot beat this you don't need to put anything on it. It's nice and spicy if they like it that way service was awesome. It's a cool little restaurant check it out. He won't be disappointed.

This place was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast I had that was the Denver omlette was delicious. We got seated right away on the patio. My buddy loved his chicken fried steak. I can't wait to go to this place again.

Large portions of good food. I will say lots of reviews talk about the best Chile Verde. Certainly not the case with our visit. While good, IMO it needed more meat, and less red chili flakes & cayenne pepper. Focus more on the green.. Chicken Fried Steak was very good and the eggs were as well. The sourdough toast was good. Probably great on a sammie. Huevos Rancheros w/ chile verde again was ok. But probably shouldn't have added the chile verde. Great service.

A cozy l I ttle restaurant that must have been here for years! Recommended to us as a great place with good food. They weren't wrong! The service was friendly, and the food was plentiful! We each took a doggy bag home to enjoy later. I've been 9nce before and we couldn't get in but they had a patio spot. We declined based on one of our party's needs..I'm sure we'll be back!

I come here all the time and the food always hits the spot! The portions are big so be prepared to be full afterwards. I love sitting on the patio because I can bring my dog! They have misters so it's not too too hot out there. Staff has always been friendly!

Stopped in for a late lunch on Tuesday. Clean and friendly staff. Yummy and large portions. We ordered Catfish platter and Chili Verde Tostada. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Great local gem!

The food was served prompt and very hot--it was delicious, too! The restaurant was clean and the tables were decorated, nicely. The waitress, Nancy was very polite, professional, and attentively prompt with our needs.

Amazing breakfast! My family has been coming here for years. Although I live in So Cal, I make it a point to visit here when I am in town.

I had already visited another Italian "grocery & deli" in the area, but it was mostly focused on sandwiches and only carried a very limited selection of deli meats. After striking out there, I started calling around to a few Italian grocers, and DeFalco's immediately stood out. When I called, they confirmed they sold sliced pepperoni, so I made the trip over. One of the first things I noticed was how busy the place was, which is usually a good sign! Despite the crowd, the staff was incredibly friendly and eager to help. When I verified that they had sliced pepperoni available, the employee immediately went into the back and brought out a fresh pound for me. What really surprised me was the price. I've been to other Italian delis where a half-pound of pepperoni cost more than what I paid for a full pound at DeFalco's. The value was outstanding, and the quality was even better. That night, I used the pepperoni on homemade pizzas, and it was absolutely delicious. You can tell you're getting the real deal. Between the friendly service, great prices, and high-quality products, DeFalco's has earned a repeat customer. I'll definitely be coming back for more pepperoni and look forward to exploring everything else they have to offer. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic Italian deli experience!

Honestly, everything we experienced today was so excellent from the service to the ambiance to the food. Holy moly, definitely coming back again! Totally recommend this place to anyone who wants excellent service and good quality food. Only thing that could make it better is to give a pie serving utensil to serve the pizza slices on the bread items, but really that ain't going keep me back from returning! It would just be a nice touch since the slices are larger than our knife.

A HIDDEN GEM IN A SEA OF OVERPRICED MEDIOCRITY…read more I genuinely do not understand why more people aren't talking about Karsen's Grill. Everything I've eaten here has been fantastic. The salt and pepper wings are TO DIE FOR. The burgers are excellent, the fries are awesome, the onion rings are phenomenal, and the cocktails never disappoint. Seriously, I have yet to order something here that hasn't made me think, Why isn't everyone eating here? And then there's the service. I've had the same servers every time I've visited, and they're consistently wonderful: friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely good at what they do. They know the menu, they can make recommendations, and they make you want to come back. Imagine that! This is a small, unassuming place with about six tables and a bar. It's not trying to be the hottest reservation in Scottsdale. There's no pretentious bullshit, no need to drop $200 on a steak just to tell people you ate somewhere expensive, and no relying on trendy vibes to distract you from mediocre food. And THAT is what I love about this place. Scottsdale has no shortage of restaurants where the prices are astronomical, the atmosphere is carefully curated for Instagram, and somehow the actual food ends up being the least memorable part of the experience. People will wait forever for an overhyped restaurant, pay a fortune for a meal that's just okay, and convince themselves it was amazing because the place was popular. Meanwhile, Karsen's Grill is over here serving food that is genuinely, legitimately GOOD. Give me great food, a well-made cocktail, and staff who actually care about the experience over another overpriced, overhyped dining destination any day of the week. Karsen's is the kind of place you stumble across and immediately want to keep coming back to. If you actually care about what's on your plate more than how much it costs or how impressive the restaurant looks on social media, go to Karsen's Grill. Your wallet will thank you, your taste buds will thank you, and you'll wonder why the hell you ever bothered with some of the other places in Scottsdale. Just please don't let the secret out too much. I still want to get a table.

The staff is friendly and quick to get the food out. It's a really casual spot with a small bar and bar height tables. They do offer outdoor seating when the weather cooperates. The last time I came in, I tried the Sunburst Chicken Bites because I wasn't starving but still wanted sustenance. It was okay, but pretty dry. The sauce helped but it tasted like it was from an old batch as it wasn't hot, either. I'll still come back because it's within walking distance from work and they have a bunch of other things on their menu I want to try. Prices are a bit above average but the portions are pretty generous. Parking in Old Town can be hit ir miss but there's plenty to go around. Check out Karsen's if you're in the area!

We choose to sit indoors. The restaurant is very cozy with dimmed lighting to add to the evening ambiance. It has a casual feel but you can dress up or down. Some people were casual and some more dressed up. We were seated at the front by the stage where live music was about to start. I thought this would be nice since I do enjoy live music. Well the speakers were facing right at our table and it was noticeably loud when the entertainer began to play. We asked for another table. We could not hear ourselves talking. Our food, Fish & Chips, BBQ Nachos, Aged Manchego, Crusty Bread Garlic Oil & Balsamic, and Molinari Sopressata. Everything was absolutely delicious! The fries with the Fish were perfect. Beginners Luck is just that kind of place. Food 4.5/5 - I ordered the Crab and Shrimp Roll with fries. It was excellent and quite a portion. More than enough for a second meal. Loaded with shrimp and crab. I wasn't expecting a crab and shrimp salad but rather a mix of the two warm and buttered in the roll but it was very tasty as served. The only part that was a little off was the burned in brand on the roll the cold salad was served in. The charred flavor with the salad was a little off putting. I just pinched off the burnt bits from the bread. Excellent fries! Service 4/5 - I sat at the bar. Bartender was nice, offered regular menu and restaurant week menu as well. Meal was brought by manager, fries were still piping hot. Bartender and manager checked back to make sure meal was to my liking. Ambiance 5/5 - Cute place.
