My lady and I were on an errand up in Scottsdale and decided to pop in for an early lunch and to say hi to owner Reggie. My lady enjoyed the homemade quiche so much on a prior visit, she ordered it again and thoroughly enjoyed it as much as the first time. I had my usual club sandwich, but this time Reggie served it with battered fries which were hot, crispy and very good! Had another great experience at Temptations Cafe, thanks Reggie! read more

Absolutely Yumm!!! We were driving home from an event, and stumbled upon this restaurant from an internet search. I looked to Yelp, saw the ratings, and told my husband, Yep, lets go here!! Walk in on a Sunday mid morning, and was seated. We got hot coffees, with oatmilk, and ordered our meals. I got the delicious pork belly, with the fixings, and Pilipino style eggs. The picked veg was so refreshing, and tart, delicious gravy, and the rice was super aromatic, and savory!! My husband got the chicken fried steak which he said tasted homemade, hand breaded and delicious. His eggs were cooked perfectly over-easy. Flavorful coffee, great breakfasts, and a special treat from the cold case; Silvanas and an Ube brownie!! Must try restaurant, with super welcoming service and a real homey feel!! read more

We stopped in for Filipino breakfast! We tried everything and it was great! My favorite is the steak and eggs as well as the lechon. The rice and pickles veg that came with complimented the dishes perfectly. With a couple cups of coffee I found myself pretty stuffed but couldn't resist ordering some pastries to go. The ube cheesecake with warm halaya on top was angelic when paired with coffee. The owners and staff were the nicest and sweetest, and overall had that small diner feel. I will definitely come back for more! read more

Overpriced sandwiches. $15.00 for 4 strips of bacon, a slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and two slices of bread = a BLT and fries. $2.50 for soda. Save your money, there are better places for lunch read more

Pleasantly surprised at this diner. We chose this location not only because it was close to our hotel but they serve country fried steak and corn beef hash. Let me tell ya, both did not disappoint. Both came out just slightly crispy on the outside and the portion sizes were perfect. Their home style potatoes were also just slightly crispy too. We had a large group and they were able to sort the tables inside to fit our party of 10. I would say maybe the inside could fit 30 which includes the counter seating. They also have an outdoor patio. We ordered some drinks but they recommended us the Coffee Jelly. Think of a Boba drink but with iced coffee and coffee like jelly. To pair with that, they make these Silvanas, a cashew meringue cookie with buttercream in the middle. It was delicious. Reggie, the owner was classically trained in Europe and all of his desserts was made in house. Let me tell ya, he was super friendly and we chatted a bit. I was given a slice of his pumpkin cheesecake. OM Gee , so good and so light! There is a UBE flan on the menu for pre-order. I would've totally gotten that if I was staying the week! So to sum, excellent service and wonderful desserts with classic diner food made perfectly. They have a outside patio seating as well and parking is on the shared lot. Will be back when I'm in town again! read more

This diner was a complete 180 from my last experience. It was a one-man shop, and he absolutely crushed it. The service was attentive, interactive, and genuinely welcoming. He took the time to chat with us and made us feel appreciated, not rushed. You could tell he enjoyed having customers there, and that made the experience even better. I'd gladly come back and support a place like this read more

On the corner of a small strip is this hidden gem of a restaurant. I stopped in for breakfast and enjoyed every bite. Rich full flavored coffee, and an extensive breakfast menu. It was hard to decide what to eat, but i settled for scotch eggs Benedict. Hollandaise sauce, corned beef and perfectly poached eggs. Super crispy country potatoes. Clean plate. This restaurant is run by the owner, very attentive. I will definitely return. read more

The food was very good! I had fried chicken which was super crispy and very tasty. The rice was well seasoned, eggs perfectly fried and the side vegetables deliciously pickled. A simple dish but very pleasing to the palate. Great job, Chef Reggie! The pastries displayed all looked tempting. We opted to get silvanas, brownie and ube macapuno cheesecake. Superduper delicious!!! We definitely are going back to this foodie's gem. Will see you again, Julia and Reggie! read more

This place is legit! The service is awesome, its family owned so you can really feel the hospitality. The foods are 10/10! Im glad they included some filipino foods in their menu. read more

I now know I found my favorite place for Filipino pastries made more unique and sophisticated! We ordered sylvanas, cinnamon rolls, ube brownies, pumpkin cheesecake, and the muffins with salted egg (inspired by a traditional rice cake called "bibingka"). Everything tasted divine! It's quite a schlepp to Scottsdale, which was about a forty-five minute drive. So well worth it! I wish these guys continued success and thank you for these perfect treats! FYI--the pastries are apparently made by Pandesal Republik which is in the back of the cafe. I assume Temptations Cafe and Pandesal Republik are one and the same thing. Nevertheless, just go and check them out! read more

Sunday Filipino Brunch is top tier. Their regular breakfast menu is also on point. Food has not disappoint yet. Aldric and Randall are excellent hosts and we always enjoy our time here. The sylvannas are a must try and to die for, but make sure you leave some for me! read more

I've been wanting to try this breakfast place forever and it did not disappoint. The food was incredible, but the real star is the atmosphere. It's a small space, but that's what makes it special. Intimate, welcoming, and full of charm. Cozy and comforting feel. Such a good morning spot with the owners being husband and wife, I believe. read more

This place is so welcoming. The owners are amazing individuals. We don't come here as often as we'd like because we live so far, but when we do make the journey, Temptations Cafe never disappoints! From the decor, to the ambiance, the food, and the conversation. Their desserts are my favorite! All baked in-house from scratch and super fresh! My favorites from here are the carrot and ginger soup, ube flan, and the tuna melt. Also, the chai latte and iced pecan latte are EPIC. This place makes you feel at home. 5 stars, well deserved! Note: This is a small diner. If you plan to sit in here for long with just coffee, it's probably wise to be mindful of the establishment and not take up seats for those that are dining in. Just food for thought. ‍ read more

This hidden cafe is a true gem. An American cafe with Euro Asian influence. The food is incredible, it's like fine dining restaurant quality of food with a tiny cafe feel and pricing. This is one of those restaurants that you have to love. Mom and pops shop but outstanding food and even better people! The first ever SYLVANA I've experienced and wow it was life changing. My husband and I were visiting Scottsdale for the weekend and found this charming little cafe within a 20 minute walk from our hotel. It is so clean and the service was great, and everything was delicious! We were so impressed we ate breakfast there three mornings in a row--a 40 minute roundtrip walking from our hotel. I ordered the Fit breakfast with an egg white scrambled with spinach and mushrooms, turkey bacon, and a fruit cup. Every detail was perfectly executed. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon was perfect, and every piece of fresh fruit was flawless and delicious. My husband is EXTRAORDINARILY picky about his eggs--he ordered the avocado scramble and again, cooked to perfection. We didn't try any of the amazing looking pastries, but they were a sight! We both highly recommend this place. It is family owned and operated and you can tell everything is done with great care. Five stars!! read more

We were scrambling Sunday morning to get a quick breakfast and stumbled upon this darling family owned cafe. You could tell that this is very much a neighborhood cafe that welcomes anybody in. Ever watch Gilmore girls and wish you could walk into Luke's cafe? Well, I like to think this is the "homey" Scottsdale version of that. The food was also terrific! My southwest eggs Benedict had a chipotle hollandaise sauce that I loved and had a good kick to it. Pro tip: if you're not that keen on spicy food a little side of avocado helps tame that heat. This may just be a new neighborhood staple for me! read more

I came up to Scottsdale to get my hair done and I found this darling little place on Yelp! Thank you Yelpers!! This cafe hit it out of the park! I was greeted with a big smile as soon as I walked in and sat at the counter! The gentleman next to me was obviously a regular because the waitress yell out to him. "Hello Mr Milkshake!" Gotta love of a place that does that! Anyway, I ordered my Eggs Benedict and they were perfect! The coffee was awesome and the apple juice was ice cold! This place is adorned with Chicago paraphernalia so I felt right home! If you're looking for a good breakfast joint, ya gotta try this joint! Good food and good service!! Go Cubs!!! read more

At 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning, I called ahead and was pleasantly told they could accommodate my party immediately. A bit chilly, but our party of five sat in the sun on the patio with no wait. This cute little diner homestyle restaurant has only a few four tops and a breakfast bar inside. Several tables on the patio with sun which helped a lot because it was still only about 55 out. Server was extremely eager to please and very apologetic about the inclusion of quiche on the menu when it's no longer offered, and the fact that they had run out of hash browns and had only country potatoes. Service was prompt, coffee and water was refilled timely and she checked back often to see if we needed anything. All skills you rarely see demonstrated these days! Bravo! I ordered a spinach and mushroom omelette with herbed cream cheese and fruit. I was told since I don't eat potatoes or bread, that there would be no up charge for the fruit, thank you. Companions had a western omelet with country potatoes, a breakfast burrito (enormous) and a special of two eggs sunny-side up, bacon and pancakes. I really enjoyed the omelette with the clearly fresh vegetables, and the herbed cream cheese was incredibly delicious. The fruit cup was properly ripe and well prepared fruit. Western omelette looks good and disappeared without complaint a lot of the country potatoes were left over they do appear deep fried and not pan-fried. Sorry no pictures! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for home cooking with reasonable prices and friendly staff. Glad to see a small business find success! read more

Thank you Yelpers! I found this little breakfast cafe through Yelp. We walked in and got seated. The place has a very homely vibe, simple decor, and the place is cozy. We had coffee, I picked the French toast with a side of bacon, and hash brown (asked for extra crispy) and my husband had the omelet with toast. The food was comforting and tasted fresh. Omg, the hash brown was so so good, the best I have had so far. The French toast was perfect for me as I don't prefer too sweet. My husband said the omelet was good too. The coffee kept coming, the service was very good must say, our server was very nice. The place is very close to where I live, the food is good, the service even better, so I will be going back again. read more
