Staff Review: Arriving here at 7:00AM on a Friday morning, there was nobody else at this restaurant, nor was there anyone else in sight outside. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly gentleman who was preparing the coffee for the restaurant. This same individual also took my order, and was pleasant the entire time. Price Review: I don't know anywhere else in the valley where an order of French Toast is $3.69. Because I also ordered a side order of Hash Browns, after tax, my total came to $5.95. That's definitely a steal. In terms of price, this restaurant can not be beat. Price point = 5 Stars Food Quality Review: As mentioned, I ordered the French Toast with a side order of hash browns. After about 10 minutes, it arrived smelling and looking delicious. The French Toast was average. It was slightly over cooked and pretty dry. This restaurant puts the syrup on for you. I decided to not eat the forth half slice. The hash browns were decent. I ordered them well done, but they're pretty standard. French Toast Quality = 3 stars. Overall, I'd probably come back here if I have some free time in the morning before work and try something else.

Croissant sandwich at Plaza Café! I did the croissant sandwich with American cheese instead of Swiss, and no mayo.

First time here today! I could tell immediately when it was packed that it was going to be great food - it was super popular! The menu is easy to read and pretty simple. I was with a group and heard multiple times that everyone loved everything they'd had prior! I ordered the croissant with a few substitutes and it was great. Croissant was flaky and yummy, and the sandwich insides were awesome. I ordered chips for the side but they never came out + I was too hungry to wait in line again to ask for them. Haha. The friends I went with got fries and they looked amaaaaazing. I'll have to try those next time! I'm docking this one star for the missing chips and for a chair at the table that lost a screw while a friend was sitting in it! It's worth noting though that management was notified about the chair and set it aside to be fixed, as soon as we told them. :) They have tons of lemonades, teas, and a soda fountain too. Great beverage selection!

Egg, cheese, and potato burrito

First time in town and decided to try out this place a short walk from my hotel. Was not disappointed! Got the egg, cheese, and potato burrito and it was delicious. Also really cheap and a good-sized portion! Customer service was also great and the cafe itself was very cute with ample seating. I'd planned to get the teriyaki bowl for lunch, but the breakfast burrito was so big that I'll have the other half for lunch. Planning to come back here tomorrow, and would definitely recommend!

The Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort has a beautiful setting with incredible mountain views, great…read morewalking areas, and a classic Arizona resort feel. The staff was friendly throughout our stay, and the overall property has a relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to enjoy the sunshine and scenery. We booked an upgraded suite with a separate bedroom and TV room, which gave us plenty of space to spread out. While the layout was great, the room itself could use some updates. The bathroom fixtures were older--the Kohler toilet didn't flush well and was a bit noisy, and the tub/shower combo had rounded sides that made it tricky to stand comfortably. The shower water also never got fully hot. The room had a slightly musty smell, and the carpets would benefit from a deep cleaning. The balcony screen door didn't close tightly, which let a few flies in, and access to the second floor required two sets of stairs since there's no elevator in that section. Even with those issues, the resort's location, views, and overall vibe made the stay enjoyable. With some room refreshes and a bit more maintenance attention, this could easily be a standout property. The setting alone is worth experiencing.

I was looking for a good staycation while also earning American Airlines AAdvantage miles and…read moreloyalty points to maintain my status for another year. I found a great AAdvantage Hotel deal at the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort and booked it. While it was a great success of a visit in terms of AAdvantage miles and loyalty points, my actual experience at the hotel itself was less to be desired due to the customer service and a big snafu on their part. I also have Hilton Gold status, though as I booked the hotel through a third party site (AAdvantage Hotels), I could see the stay and the stay history in my Hilton app, but I did not receive any benefits for staying there, which was fine as I didn't expect any anyone. I arrived in person to check in and already reserved and prepaid for a King 1 Bedroom Standard Suite, which had a nice view and reasonably spacious room (but not too much larger than a regular room at another hotel). The room was certainly not upgraded though there was parking available right in front of the entrance. I did not receive anything else at check-in nor did it appear that I'd get my regularly complimentary water. I did pay the daily resort charge which includes high speed internet access, access to the Falls Water Village, an hour at the tennis/pickleball court, an hour at the afternoon golf practice facility, two hours for a mountain bike rental, 20% off seasonal spa services, and 15% off select golf apparel. While I didn't use it, I had easy view and access to the Falls Water Village where you could lounge and play all day on their sun-marked terrace where you could find free-form pools, hot tubs, and cabanas. They even have a 138-foot enclosed water slide. When I checked out, I was told that a bill would be sent to me shortly since I did it on the app early, and when I received the bill, there was a charge for my room at the restaurant at the top of the hill called A Different Point of View. The catch is that I never went to eat there during my stay (or at any onsite restaurant since I live in the area and had my meals offsite). I reached out to the hotel who insisted that I did go there to eat. I promised them I didn't eat anywhere onsite and that they need to look at the receipt and see if it actually has my room number. They confirmed it did and that this meant I ate there. I told them to find my name on it and let me know if it was on there. After several more back and forth conversations, they confirmed it wasn't me and would remove the charge. They then mistakenly charged me double. Then they removed one charge, but it took more than a week before they removed the other charge. By the end of the exchanges, it felt like they were blaming me for their own mistake. While the resort is aged and rather pleasant, there certainly are training issues regarding the customer service offered at this property. I do not plan on staying here again in the future.
