    Cake and churros.

I got the most beautiful cake and delicious churros for my quinceañera with Sweet Land Cake. Claudia is fantastic! We always have cake left for days with other parties but her cake didn't last more than two days and we even fought for the last piece. She is an expert baker, with a great client service. She goes the extra mile to make sure you're happy with your cake. From now on whenever I need (or not ) a cake I'll be going to her. Everybody loved the taste and complemented it. I absolutely recommend her 100%

The shop has a festive, fun atmosphere, with large models of cakes decorating the interior and a ceiling with sprinkles colored onto it. There are an offering of different sandwiches and pastries, all of which promise future visits to make sure I can try them all. The service was prompt and friendly, and the welcoming smiles from behind the counter warmed the shop immediately. The staff were incredibly friendly and pleasant, and my food was ready quickly. On what will be my first if many visits I ordered a Cubano sandwich and cannoli, both of which were terrific. The melted cheese on the sandwich united and amplified the savory meats, which were toasted to perfection. The cannoli bread was flaky with a subtle sweetness and the custard was rich and creamy.

I was frantically looking for a birthday cake for my sisters 30th birthday with only a 24hr notice. I called so many bakeries in my area and was told it would be impossible to get a cake done for 50 people within that time frame. I called "Sweet Land Cake" and it was possible! I was greeted with kindness without having to share my story, my service mattered . I texted a picture and requested a filling with a confetti batter and was given options on sizes . This bakery was fully stocked , the picture of the cake I sent had an assortment of different flowers on a lavender cake with a gold drizzle and this bakery had it all ! All I had to do was place my order and pay half down and pay the rest during pick up . My sister absolutely loved her custom cake and I received so many compliments from our guests for the bakery. They have an assortment of treats that I can't wait to visit again to try ! The ambiance is welcoming and the people here are so nice . I know where my family will be getting our cakes from , with more notice next time.

The meat was tender and packed with flavor, simmered in a savory gravy with onions and peppers that soaked perfectly into the rice and peas. The cabbage on the side added a nice, lighter contrast and rounded the whole plate out. It felt hearty, comforting, and made with patience. Everything was really, really good. Seasoning was on point and nothing was overly spicy. Both meats were super tender with excellent flavor! The cabbage wasn't anything to write home about. It was just cabbage. The rice and peas were yummy! The minus one star is because I didn't like that there were four small oxtails. For the price of $27 I was expecting at least one big one. I also didn't like the amount of bones in my brown stewed chicken lunch plate and the little amount of meat given. But then again, it was a lunch plate so I get it. Those patties were everything and the plantains were chefs kiss!! Hands down the BEST Jamaican food that we've had in AZ! Give them a try!

You can choose your jerk sauce as Sweet, Mild, or Spicy, and we both went with Spicy. In my opinion, that's the way to go! It's not so spicy that it overpowers the food. Instead, it has just the right amount of heat with a subtle sweetness that makes every bite incredibly flavorful. And let's talk about the portions! They are very generous, especially for the price. In today's economy, finding a restaurant that serves both delicious food and generous portions at a fair price is becoming harder and harder, so this was a pleasant surprise. We've actually been to Jamaica, and I can honestly say this meal took me right back to our island vacation years ago. The flavors were authentic, the jerk seasoning was spot on, and the rice and peas and steamed cabbage were the perfect sides to round out the meal. I can't wait to either dine in or order from them again because there are so many other dishes on the menu that I want to try. That said...my heart belongs to jerk chicken, so I already know I'll be ordering that again and again. Finally, a true taste of the islands right here in my own backyard!

Both meals came with generous portion sizes, which we appreciated. The oxtails were the standout dish. They were tender, well-seasoned, and very flavorful. The cabbage was also delicious. One thing that was different from other Jamaican restaurants we've visited was that the cabbage included peas, which was new to us, but it was still very good. The rice and beans were just okay. They could have used a bit more seasoning and flavor. The jerk chicken was also just average and didn't stand out as much as the oxtails. The prices are on the higher side, with most dinner entrees costing around $30 or more. However, they do offer weekly specials, which may provide a better value. They also feature live music on certain days, creating a fun atmosphere for those dining in. The restaurant is conveniently located in a shopping plaza surrounded by other businesses, including Dairy Queen, Jamba Juice, Kohl's, and several other shops, making it an easy stop if you're already in the area.

The authentic Jamaican jerk chicken was packed with flavor--perfectly spiced, smoky, and tender. The oxtail was just as impressive, falling-off-the-bone tender and rich with that classic Caribbean taste. The coconut peas and rice were fresh, fluffy, and delicious, with just the right balance of coconut sweetness and savory notes. Everything tasted homemade and full of soul. For dessert, we had the pineapple upside-down cake, and it quickly became a family favorite. It was served warm, which made the flavors and textures even better--moist, caramelized pineapple on top with that perfect hint of spice. My kids loved it so much they were fighting over the last bites! My son also ordered the island punch drink, and he couldn't stop raving about how tasty it was. The guava flavor really came through and made it incredibly refreshing. From the warm hospitality to the generous portions and spot-on flavors, Topnotch Island Flavor Kitchen delivered an amazing experience. I also loved the thoughtful touch of offering personal handheld fans to guests if they got warm. The bar was another standout. I really appreciated that the cocktails are crafted using African or Black-owned liquors, making the drink menu feel unique and intentional. If you don't drink alcohol, they also have a wonderful selection of mocktails and natural teas, so there are plenty of options for everyone. The food took a little longer than expected to come out, but nothing unreasonable. The portions are generous, and the prices are fair for the quality and amount of food you receive. We ordered the oxtails, jollof rice, broccoli, peri-peri chicken, and pineapple chicken. Everything was delicious, especially the oxtails and jollof rice. My only recommendation is to be prepared if you're not a fan of spicy food the piri piri chicken definitely has some heat.
