So the reason why I posted the display case and not my actual order is basically because I got 1-2 of everything in the display case! Everything was so delicious! Some of my favorites were the lemon blueberry olive oil mini pastry, the berry crumble cake and the caramel macaroon. My son enjoyed the blueberry muffin for breakfast and although we were eating breakfast at The Coronado, the owners own both establishments, so we could bring the pastries to our table. I also left my breakfast at The Coronado to go back to Dark Hall because I learned they were going to have cinnamon rolls at 10am, which was in a few minutes! That roll was also amazing! This coffee shop is attached to The Coronado restaurant. I stopped into both over the past weekend. I would have given this coffee shop 5 stars probably, if I had ordered a different coffee drink. I ordered off the seasonal menu and I didn't end up liking my drink, it sounded good but the flavors didn't work for me. I had the strawberry fields iced latte with oat milk. Not sure what about it didn't work. However, my guy ordered a lightly sweetened iced matcha latte with oat milk and it was perfect. So, when I go back and order a drink I like better, I'll update from 4 to 5 stars. And sounds like I messed up by not getting anything from the pastry case. Next time!! Dark Hall Coffee absolutely blew me away. I had the peanut butter banana nut muffin on the barista's recommendation, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the best muffin I've ever had. Perfectly moist and packed with flavor. I also tried the seasonal Strawberry Fields latte and really enjoyed it! Service was great -- friendly, helpful and spot-on with the recommendation. Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon prior to closing. It is nestled in the quaint Coronado neighborhood. Outside looks like a house with a small parking lot in the back. It's easy to miss the entrance, follow the signs! As an avid specialty latte, drinker and sweet tooth, I opted for the gingerbread (Fresh ginger, brown sugar, molasses, spices and vanilla, served with a chewy gingerbread person) after the winter specialty menu. I let one know that I enjoy my drinks a little bit on the sweeter side so they added extra syrup for me! I'm super glad they did because the latte was to my taste. Incredible coffee flavor with a multidimensional flavor profile. Very easy to step on as I got some work done. There's free Wi-Fi, a relatively quiet/serene, ambience, comfortable, and ample seating, and charging. And with incredible drinks made by incredibly passionate folks, owned by Juan and his wife. He stayed back after hours to chat with me about the coffee scene at Phoenix, which I really appreciate it. What more did you want from the coffee shop? I thought I'd never been here but realized I had come during the days of Covid - which seemed surreal to me!!This rediscovery came recently as I came with a vegan friend to try since they are vegan friendly and I would never know otherwise because it's so good! The ambiance as you walk in is so cool, dark hipster vibes with really cool music and people just hanging out with laptops or with a person enjoying. The line was long and out the door, and inside tables were pretty packed, but I took myself outside for the patio there and it was great. There is so much seating outside and it's covered with plants and foliage so it's beautiful and you get that nice vitamin D from the sun but it's just what comes in between the leaves of the trees. She had a muffin and a matcha and I enjoyed just sitting with my gf, it was delightful. I'll have to come back to get a true feel for the coffee and baked goods although I have only heard great things. read more

I searched online today to find a place that would be cozy to bring my laptop and book and that that had plenty of space. Dark Hall popped up and I was drawn to the grungy vibes from the pictures. It did not disappointment! There's spacious outside seating all around the building and cozy inside seating. Inside seating is more limited, but it fit the cozy vibe I was going for. The owner was taking orders and he had such welcoming energy while taking his time to recommend some drinks. I tried two. First was the Sparking Garden Lemonade Matcha which was so crisp and refreshing. Loved it. I paired it with their Chocolate Banana Cake, which was so moist, creamy, and of course tasty. Then I wanted to make sure I tried some coffee because the reviews I've seen raved about it. I told the owner I enjoy cinnamon so he suggested a brown sugar cinnamon latte. Delicious!! What is so unique about Dark Hall is they only offer alternative milks and gluten free pastries. I've never seen that before at a coffee shop, but I'm here for it. After eating at The Coronado next door, we moseyed on over to Dark Hall Coffee, which is a plant based coffee shop. It was very popular and we had to wait in line a bit to place our order. Inside is dark and moody, as its name suggests. There is seating outside in the front, some seating inside by the register, and additional outside seating in the back. We opted to sit outside in the back considering it was a nice day and the seating is more spaced out. They have your standard coffee drinks, along with a seasonal menu. Their winter menu included the following lattes: gingerbread, pannettone, and chocolate covered orange. I got the pannettone and it came with a skewer of some dried fruits. The drink was delicious! They also have some sweet treats and baked goods, but since we just had lunch, we only got drinks. read more

Beautiful space! I absolutely love how it looks, the staff and other customers are also very friendly and great at providing suggestions. I had the brown sugar lemonade and a blueberry lemon olive cake while i was there and grabbed a chocolate chip cookie as a treat for later. The blueberry lemon olive cake was absolute perfection so pretty to look at but also the best olive oil cake I've ever had. Balanced flavor, soft, moist with a little caramelization on the edges was a perfect pick me up. It's later and I have now eaten the most magical chocolate chip cookie I have ever in my entire life gooey, crispy, sweet, salty just all around pure absolute magic. A fantastic coffee shop whether you're vegan or not! The atmosphere is dark and spooky (perfect for Halloween & fall time) the inside is small and dimly lit but they have plenty of patio seating options both in the front and back of the shop. The staff are also super friendly and kind! Their syrups are all homemade which is a huge plus! We tried La Pepita Dulcita and it was good! I ordered it less sweet but it was still too sweet for me & I couldn't taste the flavor of the coffee enough but I still enjoyed it! I stopped by Dark Hall Coffee this weekend for a quick caffeine boost. It's super cute and sleek with a gothic vibe. The customer service was super friendly and along with drinks they have a pastry case all which are plant based! I ordered a caramel black mocha latte with oat milk. I was hoping to get their house blend milk which is an almond coconut blend but sadly they were out. I thought it was neat they offer that and I'll have to stop in again soon to try. I also grabbed 2 macarons for my kids which they loved. It was $16 for a coffee and 2 macarons. The bean blend was soooo smooth and their house made syrups are great! Naturally, the next step was to have Dark Hall recreate our original wedding cake from 21 years ago. And let me tell you -- they crushed it. It looked exactly like the 2004 version (but thankfully, we've both aged better than fondant). The flavor? Even sweeter the second time around-- though that might just be the taste of redemption. I have been wanting to go to this place for a while and I am glad I did! When I arrived, it was not busy, I was quickly greeted, and the place was clean. It's a tight intimate space with great art on the walls. The menu is not overwhelming but there are still plenty of options. I got their cafe de olla special and the dark chocolate banana cake. Both were DELICIOUS! The cake was rich and had the perfect chocolate flavor with an underlying hint of banana. The coffee was warm and not overly sweet. It was the perfect drink and the best coffee I've had from a shop in a long time. I sat for about an hour and enjoyed my items while reading so I got to interact with the staff a bit and they were super cool, down to earth, and had great sense of humor. A friend picked this spot to meet for a drink while I was in town and I was so charmed by it. There's a small attached parking lot and a larger one across the street, and I learned they share the space with a restaurant/bar next door. The interior is fairly small, there's a couple of tables and bench seats, but it was more or less occupied during my visit. They have a nice back and front patio, but it had just rained so one patio was closed and it was really too cold to enjoy the front. I did endure it for a bit while I waited for my friend and two seats to open up inside. I'd just left brunch so I had a hot tea and got an Arnold Palmer and sugar cookie to go.
