This place has been on my list for a while. A good friend recommended. I'm so glad we finally got to try it. The inside vibe is very clean and industrial. Concrete tables. Cozy couch seating. A nice place to work or do homework and study. It's busy but not too loud, and has good music playing. It is on a busy road, and there's some parking to the left or a parking lot on the right. It is unassuming. My friend did not want to go inside at first when we drove by. I'm so glad we did. The drinks were phenomenal. I tried the taro matcha with coconut milk. It tasted like lucky charm marshmallows. The pumpkin spice chai (with a shot of espresso) was good and had a nice homey spice flavor. The matcha was also good! I will need to try the banana matcha next. They have a nice selection of pastries. They have a strawberry matcha muffin that was catching my eye. We will be back again soon.

Matcha was good although it wasn't really banana flavored enough, I couldn't taste it, it tasted like regular matcha. Place was empty cuz it was 8am so that was nice.

Authentic matcha sold here!! This place was super cute and had a cool minimalist vibe. The menu was easy to navigate with mainly matcha and coffee options. You order at the counter and then you wait for your drinks. The banana matcha was amazing and I wish I got the bigger size. The only negative was the parking. Expect to park in the neighborhood behind. As a whole I really enjoyed Crete Tea room and I plan on returning!

This is a very cool hip spot. Parking is not ideal, I had to go around and park in a neighborhood. There are a few long tables with booth seating along one side and no chairs on the other side and a couch in the corner. You can fit four or five people on one side of each table. The theme is stone and white. The booth cushions are very comfortable but the table is awkwardly far away so I have to lean so far to work on my computer... I ended up putting it on my lap. I went at 10am on a Saturday and it got pretty busy where all the tables got filled up. The music was very loud. I liked the choices but it was so loud that I would have to talk very loudly to be heard in a conversation and it isn't ideal for concentrating. The music got softer by 12/12:30 when it died down. There is no decaf coffee so that's a bummer, only Vietnamese coffee and that's way too strong for me. I did have a very tasty banana matcha with oat milk - it was smooth and had some brown sugar and came with two banana chips! I asked for light ice and indeed had light ice. Cool vibes overall, friendly staff!

This places lives up to the hype! This I've been wanting check this place out for ages as I had heard that their match game was strong. Can confirm-this is true. My friend and I tried their taro matcha tea and strawberry matcha tea and they were to die for! The flavor was out of their world and their baristas really provide special care to making your drinks. The cafe itself has a minimalist aesthetic and is very clean. This is a great place to study! The only thing to be aware of is the limited parking around the area. Catch me here every weekend as I want to try everything on their menu now.

It was pretty busy when we stopped by and we waited in line for a few minutes to order. The cashier was friendly and greeted us as we approached the register. I ordered an iced banana cream cold brew (small) and my sister ordered a separate drink. We waited a few minutes off to the side as all the tables were taken. Once our drinks were ready, the barista kindly walked around the corner and handed them over to us. The drinks were both really good. I would've liked it to be a bit sweeter but nonetheless, after a few stirs, it was good. The inside was clean and bright and I also saw that they had bathrooms. Parking is off to side at the big lot.

Crete was on my wishlist of places to visit for almost a year, and I finally got the chance to visit since I was in the area. I wish it was closer to me because I absolutely fell in love with this place!! There is a private parking lot next to the cafe, so parking isn't an issue. It's such a beautiful, aesthetic tea room with minimalistic decor and greenery all around. There is also soothing music playing in the background. The workers were welcoming and made our experience very pleasant. We ordered a strawberry matcha and POG drink, and it was absolutely delicious. I looked forward to visiting again whenever I'm in Phoenix to try their other drink options.

Cool place and I would stop by again if im in the area! The inside is spacious and has a cool vibe to it. I ordered an iced banana matcha and it was very good. Service was great, both employees were nice.

Very minimalist coffee shop. Parking is very limited fyi (we found parking in the neighborhood). I loved the vibes and decor in there. The drinks come out visually appealing but i wasn't a fan of the matcha they used so my drink was just ok. I'd love to come back and try something else though!

I was in the Phoenix area and always wanted to try out Crete, and I'm glad I finally got the opportunity to try it. There's a convenient parking lot located on the side of the cafe, so parking isn't an issue here. Once I walked inside, I really liked the aesthetics of the cafe. There is a "concrete" them throughout with lots of greenery, and the workers were also very welcoming. I got the POG and it was delicious. I'm excited to come back and try some of their matcha drinks. Highly recommend if you're in the Phoenix area.

Crete Tea Room is serving up some of the best matcha drinks in the entire AZ area! To get here, there is street parking or a parking lot nearby the shop with a good amount of spots. Inside, they have a nice modern and minimalistic interior with 5-6 tables for seating. For their menu, they have a great selection of different coffee, matcha, and tea drinks. I opted to try the Taro Matcha and it had a great flavor profile without being too sweet. Out of the matchas I have tried in AZ, this one was definitely up there as one of the best! Overall, I am glad I got the chance to stop by and check them out. All of the staff here, including the shop owner, are very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back next time I am in the area again. Crete Tea Room = best matcha in AZ?

The strawberry matcha was super good! The I've been craving a lot of matcha lately and this hit the spot. I'll have to stop by on a Monday for their banana matcha summer special

Amazing experience! The inside was super clean and very airy. Lots of plants and seating. The workers were super nice and gave us great recommendations. The matcha latte was hand whisked and they use homemade syrups. The Vietnamese coffee was amazing and the salt foam was great! Definitely coming back!

My Vietnamese coffee was fine, but it was $8+ for a 16oz. It did come out relatively quickly considering they only had one barista.

The sandwiches were delicious and I got 2 of each, which is a great deal because places usually give 1. The scones were great, although I would prefer if it didn't have powdered sugar. There was also a watermelon macaron that I didn't really like but the server was able to give me a different flavor. She was a really great and attentive server as well. I would absolutely come to this place again, but I'm not sure when I'll be back in town. Loved it! I totally forgot to mention that they put the tea leaves directly in the pot and not into a strainer. You're not supposed to do this when brewing tea because the tea leaf flavor will burn and become bitter. I drank the tea fairly quickly because of this. I suggest they change that feature.

The aesthetic is adorable and it's basically made for photos. Tons of cute little spots and setups, and the whole place feels like a fun treat. I also liked that you can pick your own tea, which makes it feel more personal. The food was cute. My only real knock is it felt a little expensive for the actual food quality which was all store bought - 4 adults and 2 kids it cost $200 for two of the platters (pictured), two of the kid platters, and 3 tea pots. You're definitely paying more for the ambiance and the overall experience than for gourmet food. Overall, I'm going with 3 stars. Great vibe and plenty of picture opportunities.

The parking lot is not huge but I was able to find a spot easily. A few people were enjoying their drinks when I arrived. There is a good amount of seating but I can see it getting full quickly. I had perused the menu beforehand as I usually do and although a few of the teas looked tempting, I fulfilled my craving by ordering the Saigon Special, a strongly brewed cafe su da (Vietnamese Coffee) with our special blended of sweet milk topped with sea salt cream, and requested easy ice and honey boba. This has a lot of caffeine in it and I try not to order so late in the day, but I wanted it. The bobaista who took my order was friendly and welcoming, and helpful after I accidentally typed in my phone number incorrectly. Prices were fair: $6 for a drink and $0.75 to add boba. My drink was ready quickly and it looked great. It was pretty sweet with the boba and drink at regular sugar level, and I should have mixed in the sea salt cream to help mix the flavors. It was delicious though and hit the spot. I was left with salty foam at the end so I will remember to mix my drink next time. I also tried the Avocado Chill, which is a fresh hass avocado smoothie with fresh strawberries and condensed milk. Not a big smoothie girl but it was nice. I'm not in this area much but I would come back in the future, and probably try one of their milk teas.
