I came across this new boba place that recently took over Tancca in the Mochinut plaza and took advantage of their grand opening promotion. Seems like they offer a variety of drinks as well as specialize in extremely ornate and extravagant cakes that are fully decked out. But I think you have to pre-order the cake with the staff; the day that I visited, one of the employees pulled up to drop off a cake to a customer. At this time, there doesn't seem to be any pastries to-go for the customers. The interior is quite nice - I don't think much was changed back when the store was Tancca. The long bench is still here, but they added soft pillows, cute lighting, and some decoration to the storefront. Tancca's old menu is still up on the wall, but CC Cake offers various drinks - fruit teas, cheese foam teas, tiramisu teas, milk tea, puff cream, and special drinks. Wanted to try several drinks, so ended up ordering 3 in total. Since it was so hot that day, I knew I wanted to try one of their smoothies - I opted for the Cheezo Mango Smoothie ($6.50). This comes with cheese cream, mango slush, and agar boba; I opted to switch out agar boba for regular brown sugar boba - at first the drink looked really white with very little mango, but by the time it thawed once I got home, the drink was pretty well blended. I have to say that this was pretty darn good. The cheese foam was creamy and went very well with the mango. The boba was maybe just a tiny bit overcooked, but I ended up finishing the drink pretty quickly, which is a first for me. I don't think it's the best cheese mango drink I've had, but it's definitely up there. Also tried the Cheezo Four Seasons Tea ($4.95). I thought this drink was really good. The tea was light but also fragrant. Cheese foam on top wasn't heavy and although I didn't mix it together while drinking it, I thought it tasted good on its own. Probably would ask for no matcha powder to be sprinkled over the top next time - but I would definitely order this again! No sugar adjusted and it wasn't too sweet. And of course ordered the Ceylon Milk Tea with boba ($4.50 plus $0.50). I didn't adjust for sugar, which I probably should have. The drink was a tad sweet for me. Felt like it was very similar to the milk tea at Tancha/Tancca. I'm not a Ceylon tea fan, so I probably wouldn't order this again. The boba - even though it came out of the same pot as my mango drink - was a bit harder in this drink (maybe from the ice in the cup?). The middle was a bit hard; but the taste and sweetness of the pearls itself was good. They also package the drinks in these cute bags - that I thought were reusable - but are just plastic. Convenient since I had to carry all three myself. No minimum for credit card that I see. Workers are friendly and able to speak English and Mandarin. Parking lot gets busy, but there's plenty of street parking. I had placed my order after two parties had ordered, so I was worried that it might take awhile, but all the drinks came out in a very timely manner! tl;dr - Another tea shop that is a welcome addition to the many boba places in the 626! CC Cake is the newest teahouse in Arcadia, taking over Tancha (parking can be quite a challenge sometimes if you come when it is busy. CC Cake is also in the same plaza as Mochinut and Ding Tea). Because they had a special 20% off drinks grand opening special (which ends today, 6/26), my husband and I decided to check out this place yesterday afternoon. When we walked in around 1:25 pm, we were greeted by the employee behind the counter. After looking at the menu, we ended up getting: Golden Phoenix Milk Tea, $4.75 prior to tax- My husband ordered this drink to be made with no ice and 50% sweetener. When he made this order, the employee taking our order said good choice, which I assume is one of their specialty drinks? My husband asked what does the employee recommend for sweetness level. The employee said between 50- 75%. I didn't try any of this drink but my husband said he liked this drink at the sweetness level. Super Fruit Tea, $5.95 prior to tax- I ordered this drink to be made with 50% sweetener and no ice. This drink came with fresh cut pieces of fruit that included an orange, watermelon slices, grapefruit slices. There were some seeds from the grapefruit, which I would recommend that the staff remove before making this drink. I wished I had ordered this drink at 75% sweetness instead but think the drink was still refreshing at 50% sweetener. White Peach Oolong Milk Tea, $4.75 prior to tax- I ordered this drink to be made with 50% sweetener and no ice as well. This drink was consumed the next day. I did not like this drink at all. The peach flavor was very artificial and did not seem to mix well with the oolong tea. I would not order this drink again. -------------------------- (Total= $13.63 after tax and 20% grand opening special) Our drinks were not all ready at the same time. The white peach oolong milk tea took the longest, but total wait time for all drinks was 11 minutes (which was not bad at all). There are outlets available under bench seating and free WiFi is available for those that wish to try to study here. Service was friendly. The woman working the front and handling drinks was very nice. Ordered the Jasmine Green Milk Tea and was surprised that it tasted more like hojicha than what I was usually expecting for a green milk tea. Not in a bad way though, I liked the unique hint. They have unique flavor drinks here. My favorite is the coconut milk coffee/latte and the osmanthus oolong milk tea with puff cream or aloe vera topping. The osmanthus is very fragrant and the aloe is a good compliment to the floral drink. The osmanthus does not seem to be made from syrup flavoring; I think it is actually brewed. You can adjust ice and sweetness level. Service is friendly and very prompt. The interior is nicely decorated and there are tables & high table/benches you can sit at. Parking is a struggle during peak lunch and dinner hours as it is in a mini strip mall that's relatively busy with minimal parking. Regardless, I do recommend this boba place. I've been to CC Cake a few times and each time I try different items they are all very good. From boba to cake cups, everything is great. The fruit teas are pretty popular here and the mango ones sell out time to time by the end of the night. I only waited maybe less than 5 minute for the drinks which is pretty fast for a Saturday night with other customers. I like how everything is fresh and the cakes are made there every day. They also do custom cakes for special occasions. There's a fair amount of seating and it's a good hang out and study spot. Really cute custom cake shop! I love how they have a lot of popular staple Asian flavors such as durian, mango, and ube. They even offer box cake that they can finish baking in 30 minutes. My goodness, I had a wonderful experience here- great customer service. The cake we ordered for my moms birthday was absolutely delicious, moist and beautiful designed. Everyone loved the cake we ordered ( the fruit melody) it has 4 types of fruit decorated on the outside and filled in the inside, mango, green grape, strawberry and blueberry. It was eaten by everyone and some even had seconds. Was for sure a winner at the party and they even gave us a sparker candle which made it even more special! Store itself is so cute and they have many items.. I even ordered two slices of cake ( blueberry cheesecake and the salted almond butter) both were so good, my favorite was the salted almond butter- right on with the balance and salty and sweet but my dad in law loved his cheese cake. Still craving for something sweet? Delicious crepe cake with Oolong tea, Oreo shake and mango dessert drinks after dinner may just do the trick. The price is average compared to the nearby boba places, $5-6 for regular size and $1 extra for large cup. A slice of a crepe cake is about average price. Chocolate is the cheapest one, $9 something. It unfortunately doesn't have a variety choices (only Magno, Chocolate and Durian) and they are all different prices. The store also sells other kinds of desserts if you don't care about crepe cakes. It is in a strip mall very close to Santa Anita Mall and may be hard to park in the small parking lot if during the peak hours like lunch and dinner time. The restaurant has only indoor sitting area to study or chit-chat with friends. I will come back again to try their mango crepe cake. Hopefully, it will not get sold out when I go. If I find it too heavy and want something lighter and more refreshing, the tea itself is a good alternative. I ordered a match strawberry cake from cc cake for my sister's baby shower. it honestly came out perfect and they delivered exactly what i asked for. ordering was simple - i just texted someone what i wanted and when. they were responsive. pickup was also simple as i had someone else go and pick it up for me. the cake also tasted good- everyone was raving about how good it was. personally i would've preferred a heavier matcha taste, but the cake was moist which is more than i can say for other places i've tried. would definitely recommend and will go back. the only thing to mention is that it is a little expensive- i got the 6 inch cake for 150$ which included the $10 upgrade for the matcha flavor. for a special occasion it was definitely worth. read more

One of the most delicious milk tea I've had. However, it is on the lighter side, so if you're expecting a strong tea flavor like ChiCha or Orobae in OC this isn't it. im confused about this place. I went in to get a boba drink and it was fine. Got the strawberry cheese one. A little pricey for such a small cup but whatever. Tasted fine, nothing special, on par with most places serving the same drink. Weird though, is for a place called "cc cake" there is no cake for sale. There was nothing other than boba drinks. They had a little display case inside that was completely empty. Wonder why it isnt called "cc boba" instead. The service was underwhelming. The guy at the counter didnt speak any English. nothing. zero. I ordered by pointing to the sign. The whole process seemed disorganized. It did not look very busy at all but it took a fair bit of time to make my drink. which by the way, was done in the back behind the curtain. not right in front of you like most places do. Then the girl in the back came out, who was fluent in English, and asked to take my order. Clearly they do not communicate well here.
