Disclaimer: Only reviewing the sweet pastries, Ive never been inside or dealt directly with the service, I've never thought much of Italian pastries, and I've never been to Italy. My client, who lives in Bay Ridge, heard my new bf liked canollis and dropped off a box from this place at xmastime, along with a big box of other traditional Italian and not-Italian pastries. Very nice of him. Especially because the bf said they were the best canollis he'd ever had. I, not being a fan, tried one, and promptly devoured it. A whole canolli! Decadent. We went inside the box and tasted everything else - it was all divine. And I mean all. That is no small statement. To be sure, I waited to write this review until after a second try, because in all honesty, the bf and I were in honeymoon phase at Xmas time and everything tasted great back then, you know how it is. So we got another oversized delivery from the same client, same pastries, a couple weeks ago. Mama mia. Seriously the BEST cannoli. Mind blowing carrot cake, who knew?! All the ones soaking in rum, including the tiramisu, wowzas! I would pass on the eclairs, but hey its not a French place. I've been surrounded by delicious bakeries my entire life growing up in Brooklyn, but this is one of my favorites! They have by far the BEST red velvet cupcakes I've ever had! The rest of the pastries that I've tried have been top notch as well, including the layer cakes, cheesecake, cookies, etc. The prices are very reasonable which makes you want to pick up some extra items (this could be dangerous) and the girls behind the counter are the nicest. I have not tried their food since my sweet tooth always gets the best of me, but I've heard great things! Maybe next time if I don't get carried away. :) read more

Didn't see as much bread as I saw other bakery items so I think it should be called bakery plus bread but it's all good. Lots of people on line everything looked pretty good prices average and the coffee was very good. Had a chocolate cannoli at 2.75 which I have to say was very good not overly sweet. This is not my first time coming to this pizzeria/ bakery, but after getting a strawberry shortcake for my niece's graduation party I had to write a review. The cake had a fresh filling that with bits of real strawberry and moist yet not soggy layers with a light smooth creamy topping. My wife ate a personal pizza with caramelized onions while we waited and loved the crust. This place can hold its own as a bakery or pizza shop. Hmm, I've been getting a variety of bakery stuff here since it opened up. I order my cakes and pies from this place. I've also had their pastries from time to time. Their Italian pastries are way better than the various bakeries I've been to in Manhattan and their cannolis and sfogliatelles are on par with Villabate. The cakes to order are delicious and creamy! I recommend getting a pistachio or hazelnut filling if you do custom order your cakes. Their baguettes are okay, though I'm not a fan of French/Italian baguettes to begin with. I have no idea why people are raging against their pizza. It's obviously not going to be as good as the pizza joint nearby, but it's small, filling, and not as greasy (and definitely does not taste like public school pizza). They do have better garlic knots than your average pizza place though. The only thing I really dislike there is their cupcakes because they taste dry, but you can't go wrong with choosing any of their other stuff. read more

The workers are very pleasant to be around . They help with whatever needs you have . It might be a small bakery but whats inside will have people lined up outside the door.
