The food here is beyond fantastic; everything is fresh and delicious. Their personal size pizzas are the perfect size for lunch and you can get one with a variety of toppings. Their chicken rolls and sausage rolls are my other go-to. Also, I can't leave with place without grabbing a few lard prosciutto sticks. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but have tried their cakes and their chocolate chip cookies; both were tasty. The employees are friendly and efficient. However, this place is tiny and it gets beyond packed at times. There have been points where I've walked by and decided not to because just looking inside at the crowd gave me anxiety. This is the only place close to my job with decent food. I have gone here for breakfast and lunch and was not disappointed. I have tried the sandwiches which you are allowed to buy half and the pizzas. The desserts are good as well and pretty addictive. The chocolate croissant was sold out, but something else in the cakes display caught my eyes. Got the Pumpkin cheesecake, a strawberry tart, and Yelpers recommendation of the Lobster tail. I don't know how I ever missed this place! It is tiny but every inch of space is filled with something delicious. They even sell Queen Anne ravioli and olive oil. Pastries, cakes, danish. Slices of cheesecake and red velvet plus so much more. In front they have personal sized pizzas, and today they even had sandwiches on their Italian bread. I don't know what is wrong with these previous reviewers. This place is a-m-a-z-i-n-g! The bread is always fresh, great variety and the taste is what you expect from a good brooklyn Italian bakery. Most of the staff is friendly (there are a few exceptions), especially if you are ordering a cake or call ahead for a special request. The pizzas are ok. I prefer greasy pizzeria pizza oozing with cheese, but what they offer is a fresh, non greasy version that focuses more on the toppings and bread and less on cheese. The pastries are hit or miss for me. What they do well (cream puffs, chocolate croissants, chocolate mousse cup, red velvet cupcakes to name a few) they do REALLY well. The rest of the pastries are above average but not amazing. The store itself is bright and clean, which is surprising because the neighborhood is busted! They offer a wide variety of specialty grocery items: fresh cheeses, pizza dough, fresh frozen pastas, iced and hot self-serve coffee, etc. The location is off the beaten path but there isn't any competition, so they stay packed most of the time. I wasn't going to review this place but the previous reviews sound so horribly forced and fake that I figured someone would want to hear a review from a real customer. Overall they're not bad. I remember this place when it was the old bakery so in comparison, they've fixed up the place a hell of a lot nicer since and carry more pastries and etc. Unfortunately the only thing I like from them is the long loaf of bread with/without seeds and the regular seeded rolls. Never had a complaint about those yet. I've tried different pastries from them and most of it had no taste but when you're the only bakery in the neighborhood, who's going to complain otherwise? When I was younger, I'd get the pizza personal pies and the new place kept them as well. The taste isn't that much different from a frozen pizza but when you have two schools and limited options, it's always been pretty popular for school kids. The main thing I see people buying would be bread or a cup of coffee. Although a couple of times it was crowded with people getting cakes so who knows. As for service, it's standard.
