Cute shop with lots of options. Enjoyed the chicken piccata a lot. Got fig goat ravioli, hot peppers and Orchetta Angelica . Need to go back and try a Sammy.

For the first time I went into this store. I knew I wanted to make the short ride here because I heard so many good things about it. I follow a few people on IG that had pictures of the beautiful food they prepare. SO let me say I originally went in for the potatoes and eggs. I mentioned I was never here before and saw a review from Brooklynbites on IG. The owner immediately introduced himself, gave me some fried zucchini..(which is cooked perfectly without being soggy), which I think is fantastic and makes you feel comfortable. No stuck up store proprietor here! I got picked a small hero bread for my husband's sandwich and it was warm and soft. Thought it just came from the bakery...uh no way, they make their own bread, rolls, cookies everything! He says"come on let's go I'll show you our kitchen." I get a tour of a clean kitchen, more then one, bread was done on its own. It was great to see Charlie and the pride he has for his business. Since I was there for the first time and saw PF on IG he then says go get a loaf of bread and he also gave me his famous lemon cookies. Worth the trip alone! I shared with my neighbors when I got home. They are light, cakey, lemony but not over powering. Wonderful with a nice cup of tea or coffee or just talking outside with neighbors. A perfect lemon drop cookie in my opinion. I bought meat filled rice balls, chicken pasta and broccoli for my dinner later. I got my husband a chicken cutlet broccoli rabe mozz sandwich with balsamic glaze. He loooved it!!! Chicken cutlets were perfectly done, not tough so he buys quality chicken. The potatoes and eggs has onions in it. Also a winner! I felt like I've been going to this store for years! Worth the ride from wherever you are. Trying the pasta next time. I'm sure it will be great. So clean, beautiful store, Charlie and his staff are wonderful people. Go you won't be sorry! Oh and the beautiful smells of baking bread and other foods is absolutely amazing

Amazing authentic italian food at a friendly neighborhood staff. Very nice staff and I got one of the best plates of gnocchi I've ever had. Charlie is the best, you definitely have to come here!!

The cookies I got from this place were very stale and the service horrible. Most impulsional purchases end up being that way.

That alone signals someone in the kitchen knows what they're doing. I tried the Rigatoni Sunday Sauce -- rigatoni tossed in a bright, tomato-forward sauce with sliced sausage, eggplant, a meatball, and a cheesy breadstick -- and it mostly delivered. The sauce is lively and fresh-tasting, clearly "today's sauce" rather than something resurrected from yesterday's pot. Tomatoes sing, the acidity is balanced, and the simmered depth is there without feeling overworked. It could have used a whisper more salt for punch, but that's an easy fix at the table with Pecorino Romano; I added some at home and it snapped into perfect focus. The meatball was flavorful but a touch dry -- breadcrumbs are doing the structural work, and a milk-soaked stale bread technique would have kept it juicier without losing character. Sausage and eggplant were solid partners, and the cheesy breadstick was dangerously good (eat it slowly unless you want to be judged by your tablemates). If I could award half stars, this gets a 4.5. Smart execution, honest flavors, and a few small technical tweaks away from greatness. Highly recommend giving them a try -- especially if you, like me, believe that pasta should arrive ready to eat, not ready for a culinary trust exercise.

There's no seating available, and only one person was working despite a line out the door. He seemed overloaded, but to his credit, he was very friendly and had a great attitude. The food is out of this world, it truly tastes like home made food, the flavoring of every dish is superb. There is not one item on the menu that I don't like. They have the best vodka sauce in the world and their consistency is fantastic. I've eaten here over 15 times already and each time is as good as the last. The portion sizes are huge so you can absolutely share a pasta dish. I strongly recommend doing the following. Get their espresso martini it's truly amazing, for the appetizer do the clams, get the SPAGHETTI ALL'AMATRICIANA, with the calis chicken Parm. For dessert either get the Italian cheesecake or bread pudding with a cappuccino. The servers and staff are incredible. Every night we go they are so friendly, personal and give great recommendations. They always thank you for coming to their restaurant, the owner who's the head chef, is the nicest guy in the world, every-time we eat there he asks us how the food tastes. It's a beautiful cozy restaurant with artwork of Brooklyn and Italian imagery just a great ambiance of the restaurant. I strongly recommend this place, it's a true gem and a must on anybody's list of places to eat at.

For entrees we had the Deconstructed Beef Wellington, Miso Glazed and sesame crusted Halibut, with a side of Truffle Cauliflower Mash Potatoes. For desert we had the Peanut Butter Cup and the Apple Cider Zeppoli. Everything was presented well, tasted great and had the perfect temperature. The Cocktails: Expertly crafted and sophisticated. It was refreshing to have drinks that were perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The coffee was served alongside dessert, it was rich and the perfect finishing touch to a wonderful meal. While the Filet Mignon was a popular and well loved choice among our group, and the Meatballs were universally raved about for being truly excellent, the real showstopper for me was the Chicken Parmesan. I don't typically order steak, so I was delighted by this choice. The cutlet was impressively sized yet elegantly thin, showcasing the high quality of the chicken. It was served with a side of creamy mashed potatoes, which was such a comforting and delicious pairing. It did remind me of visiting Germany believe it or not like a schnitzel style cutlet but still very italian if that makes any sense.
