I really enjoyed the focaccia sandwiches (smoked salmon and pea/mint/feta were elite) and the artichoke green garlic slice. The flavor of the sesame stirato was excellent but the bread itself was a tad too chewy for the filling we got with it (tuna salad), so that style probably works better with the jambon beurre. Will definitely be on the rotation whenever I'm in the city -- would love to try some of their seasonal/limited edition items one day, though not sure if I have it in me to brave the lines that can form on the weekends, lol! It is triple chocolate and cocoa powder is in the dough. It is filled with milk and dark chocolate, so creamy. The plain croissant was flaky and light. The brown butter corn cake was crispy and caramelized on the outside and soft and moist. The Black Forest croissant is a seasonal offering. It is made with their Triple Chocolate Croissant filled with chocolate cake and sour cherries and topped with mascarpone cream , Rhubarb & Custard Croissant . It is tart and sweet. I called Ms. Angela last minute, and she went above and beyond to help me. She was incredibly kind and understanding, and to my surprise, she was able to provide me with a fresh Black Cake right away! The moment my daughter and I tasted it, we knew we had found something special. The cake is rich, moist, and perfectly spiced. Every bite is full of authentic flavor and pure delight.
