This is probably one of my favorite bakeries on 8th avenue. The ladies there are always very friendly and welcoming. Always assisting you when they notice you are standing there just waiting. They offer a variety of baked and steamed buns. One reason why this bakery itself is UNIQUE is because they have dim sum menu items for you to eat as well! They have beef steamed rice noodle, shrimp steamed rice noodle, rice & chicken wrapped in bamboo leaves, congee, shumai, and much more. The best part is that it is cheaper than your regular dim sum restaurant! Whenever I'm craving for your basic dim sum on a busy weekend, I just usually come here to get my fix instead of waiting on long lines at a restaurant. You have to come before 12pm (or as early as possible) if you want to try their dim sum. Definitely a bakery I go to on a daily basis!

a variety of breads and pastries

Personally I'm very biased when it comes to Asian bakeries. I've had my fair share of staples when it comes to certain Asian pastries and breads. I throughly enjoyed a lot of these! First time here and I'm impressed! They had a relatively big selection.

Inside of Bakery. Average 80 cents per baked bun. Saw classic egg tarts, pineapple buns, garlic bread, rice cakes, etc.

This is a decent local bakery. The women working there are much more friendly than the other bakeries. They speak Cantonese and minimal English, but they are happy to fill your order. Their prices are less expensive than the dominating Dragon Bay Bakery chain and their service is much better. They have the standard items for a Chinese bakery like egg tarts, raisin twists, pineapple buns, hot dog buns, etc. Their egg tarts are above average in my book and worth a try when you're in the 8th ave area, but it's not exactly worth a subway ride if you are interested in the egg tart. It's the best egg tart out of the many mediocre bakeries around the area. If you're looking for a crash course in Chinese pastries, let me suggest this website: http://www.fayda.com/breads/bakedbuns_all.shtml Happy Eating!

Just learned about this place yesterday and yeah... I get the hype now…read more Got the burrata sandwich; super fresh, soft bread, and the burrata was doing what it needed to do. Creamy but so good. Also grabbed a few baked goods: - gf brown sugar corn muffin... lowkey my favorite. Soft, slightly sweet, didn't even feel gluten-free. - earl grey morning bun -- light, flaky, and had that subtle tea flavor without being too much. Everything felt fresh and made with care. Definitely going back.

We arrived at 9:45 and got the pastries at 10:30. The wait was longer because we had to wait for the specials to come out from the oven, otherwise we could've just skipped the line and ordered directly at the counter. *Mango Lassi Croissant $15 Simply amazing. Ngl a $15 croissant should be illegal...but I went speechless after the first bite. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY I am not even a huge mango lover like anybody does, but WOW this mango croissant was seriously the BEST mango pastry EVER. The pastry shell held flaky and crunchy, and the center was filled with a labneh cheesecake and mango gelee. We were surprised the filling wasn't liquid-y at all and held up well! We also tried the new Artichoke and Green Garlic Foccacia ($9), and the Fennel and Sausage Foccacia ($9). I get their foccacia slice every time I'm here and they never let me down. So pillowy and delicious.

Radio Bakery is a very popular bakery in Brooklyn. This has been my second time and each time there…read morewas a line outside, however it moves quickly and the space inside is very small. Even though there is a line, you do not feel rushed or pressured to order quickly. On this visit we ordered plain croissant, chocolate croissant-fresh out of the oven, rhubarb croissant, black forest pastry and brown butter corn cake. The chocolate croissant was amazing. It is triple chocolate and cocoa powder is in the dough. It is filled with milk and dark chocolate, so creamy. The plain croissant was flaky and light. The brown butter corn cake was crispy and caramelized on the outside and soft and moist. The Black Forest croissant is a seasonal offering. It is made with their Triple Chocolate Croissant filled with chocolate cake and sour cherries and topped with mascarpone cream , Rhubarb & Custard Croissant . It is tart and sweet. The rhubarb is roasted and complimented with sweet vanilla custard. They all were excellent. Each were about $8. Highly recommend and don't let the line deter you .

If you have not been fortunate to salivate and then dine on ANY item that RB offers, then all I can say is, " Sorry for you!" Lol! Does it live up to the hype? YES! YES!YES! I am in love with their sandwiches, first 1. THE BREAD: worth the cheat... baked on premises. You can see it live when you walk in here and on India street. Repeat after me.. BAGUETTE..BRIOCHE..FOCACCIA..CIABATTA 2. THE OPTIONS... Repeat after me: TURKEY KALE BASIL PESTO.. TUNA..SPICY TOFU.. HAM WITH ROSEMARY BUTTER Your eyes are starting to dance.. there is a huge smile on your face, you feel a bit unsteady as the server asks "What can I get for you?" and you point to the sandwich display case and say"I want THAT, THIS and come to think of it... THAT TOO!" 3. PASTRIES: Salivate with me: CHOCOLATE BEAR CLAW.. PISTACHIO CROISSANT.. CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIE, EARL GREY MORNING BUN.... 4. SAVORY: SCALLION TOAST, CHEESY PRETZEL BEAR CLAW, HEIRLOOM TOMATO TART 5. Service: TOP NOTCH My fave is the Turkey Kale and Pesto on Sesame Focaccia.. the kale is marinated with lemon juice and olive oil, turkey is a mix of light and dark meat, the pesto has pine nut and pecorino. Yummmmmm.. I was asked if I wanted a bag, yes, one that is big enough to pack the entire store! There are a plethora of fine eateries in Prospect Heights which I am always exploring... However, when your exploration leads you to a gem, like RB, or your fave song, you want it over and over again. There is always a line, they let clients in one at a time or in twos. Be patient, line goes fast! Bravo RB for consistency, excellence and delicious food! Shout out to Shawn who waited on Fawn.. great service and patience as I snapped photos for Yelp. Let me say in advance " I told you so!"
