I ended up getting a different stop when coming home when my husband mentioned to me that there was a bakery below that sold cannoli shells and that we should get some another day because he would like to make homemade cannoli cream. I said why wait till then and ran to the bakery. It's a a small bakery but with a lot of different option on cannoli shells. I ended up getting pistachio chocolate cannoli shell with regular cannoli cream and it was delish. The cream itself tasted so fresh. Small bakery in Bensonhurst that sells plenty of baked goods, mostly in take out containers, but none of which is memorable or make me want to come back for more of it. It is a shame because I think this is one of those relics from the 1990's, but I feel this is now under new ownership. Like the bakery I went to in Bushwick, something seemed off. I ordered three things, none of which stood out except for the fact I paid under $8 for all three. The jelly donut is a big opportunity, missed. It tastes too chilled, and whereas a good jelly donut should have jelly pouring out, this one only had one bite of it, maybe two. The donut tasted pretty dry as well. The Sfogliatella is also underwhelming. Not a lot of flavor, not that "leafy" texture I am accustomed to. It seems to skimp on the things that make it good. It is also very small, which while nice for walking in the street, is not so nice when you want it for later as a dessert. Lastly, and the one I had the biggest hopes for, my favorite cookie, the Linzer tart. It looks beautiful, but it is all style with very little substance. The jelly is smooth but barely has any flavor. The cookie itself is wonderfully coated in sugar, but is just too dry. It almost tastes more bread than biscuit-like. I saw they make cannoli here, but for that it is best to go to Villabate Alba for these. All the treats here taste exactly the same, and that is disappointing from someone who loves a good Italian bakery. I always very high expectations for this bakery. However there was an boy around 16 or 17 couldn't really tell..short, brown hair, and brown eyes. He was scratched his private area with his hands when he thought nobody was looking and proceeded to go on with the customer ahead of me. Grainy, balanced sweetness, tangy creamy, bit looser than I'd prefer but imparts fresh milkiness contrasted by bits of milk chocolate studs- CP makes a memorable solid cannoli. I lived in Brooklyn for about 10 years and I know that the italians here can make good food. A family member asked me to get them Cannolis to bring to Texas, and so I yelped this place and got a dozen. These were frozen and the cream was separate, to later fill them in yourself. Unfortunately I was told they weren't that good. I was disappointed, I don't know if it was the frozen factor, old cannoli or just a bad batch. And they arrived frozen and technically should be equally good. Most people buy them to go anyway. The lady gave me a complimentary pastry and that was very nice of her, but this was a bit dry too. Do you want cherries, chocolate chips, pistachios on the tip of your Noli or do you want your shell plain, chocolate dipped or powdered. You can buy empty shells by the trunk load and enough creme to fill your neighbor's Cannoli's by the frozen bag full. Pastry frozen fresh you can bake in your own oven at home and an enormous assortment of individual boxed Italian cookies to keep you dipping in your coffee for months. Came here two years ago, and came back today! It's a deep ride into Brooklyn (Bay Ridge) but it is WORTH it. The canolis are canoli's plus are FRESHLY MADE! They are absolutely DELICIOUS and way worth a try! Prices are reasonable $1.50 for the small canolis and $3.50 for a big one. 2 of the small ones is a good amount to eat. What to get: Mini Cannoli for a snack, or full size Cannoli if you're hungry. Ooh: Yes, it's literally one of the best Cannolis you will ever eat. And: Everything here is made on premises and you can taste it. What else: If you have too many of these, you'll have to shop in the "Cannoli Plus-Size" section. "Canneloni Puss" is the red sauce that seeps out of a plate of Canneloni when you squeeze it. This should not be confused with Cannoli Plus. New York City is where the best Cannolis in North America are to be found, and the very best two are both in the same city. These two are "Villabate Alba" and "Cannoli Plus." They're basically within walking distance of each other in Brooklyn, and are both spectacular. VA is a little fancier, on a nice well-trafficked intersection corner, and has delicious Gelato as well. CP is a little more understated, hidden under subway lines around the block. If you are a fan of Cannoli, you simply must try both. What sets these Cannolis apart is that they have the most amazing crust, the most divine, creamy, not-too-sweet filling, and that the come together to form the most delicious Cannoli taste you'll probably ever experience. In my experience of referring peopel here, most people who try one or both of these two, agree that it's the best Cannoli they've tasted. See for yourself. Come and pop one of these creamy babies in your mouth. "Channel Islands Prius" is where you buy Hybrid Vehicles out in Broad Channel. This should not be confused with Cannoli Plus. It's official, I just had the best cannoli (that comes as close to the Cannolo Siciliano I had in Italy). I'm standing here writing about this miracle with powdered sugar all over my face and jacket. I always pass by this bakery after staying at my fiance's home for the last few years, but never actually went in. I know that every time I always walk up the subway stairs I always smell that sweet, buttery scent of cookies and baked goods in the air. It smells amazing. Last holiday season, I had to pick up extra cookies for a holiday party. I picked up the butter cookies and brought it to the holiday party which were a big hit. I thought the cookies tasted a lot better than some of the Italian bakeries I been to. They didn't taste as sweet which I liked. Overall, Cannoli Plus is definitely a hidden gem in Bensonhurst that I am glad I finally discovered and gave a shot. Customer service is great! I love that during the holiday season, there's holiday trays of cookies. I am definitely going to make a visit soon to try a Cannoli just because the bakery has the word "Cannoli" in it. Someone gave me a pastry to try from this place and I was hooked. The pastry was filled with Nutella and drizzled with chocolate and some kind of sliced nut. I've lived by this place for nearly 2 years now and finally stopped in a couple of weeks ago after I barely missed the D train @ 71st Street. And I have pretty high standards when it comes to pastries after spending a bit of my teens working in a pretty stellar bakery (their cannolis sucked though). However, on that particular day I enjoyed a wonderfully baked linzer tart ($1). I haven't had a linzer tart that good...well, I've never had a linzer tart that good. It was buttery and delicious and had the perfect amount of raspberry jam in the middle. I savored every bite of it on my train ride to work that morning and couldn't wait to find my way back to Cannoli Plus. Well, turns out that two days later I (conveniently) missed my train again and found myself back in Cannoli Plus, but this time to try out their namesake pastry - a cannoli ($2). First things first: It was fresh filled. I haven't had a fresh filled cannoli in quite a while and boy was it good! Cold, creamy deliciousness. The shell was solid and when I bit into it it crumbled due to it's freshness. The whole thing was phenomenal. I really can't get over how good it was. Best. Cannoli. Ever. Cannoli Plus needs to be on every single New Yorker's to-do list. Also, I need to figure out what the plural of cannoli is. Cannolis? Cannoli? I digress. I've been on a cannoli quest since last year. I finally got the chance to head out to the other end of Brooklyn to try this place out yesterday. Despite reading some scary stuff on the New York Department of Health Restaurant Inspection website, I was impressed with the appearance of Cannoli Plus. Every shelf in there is filled with their attractive baked goods, and they all look fresh and delicious. They have even more pastries in the case in the front of the store. I went a little nuts and bought almost one of everything. I had a cheese filled lobster tail, I think it was $1.00. The cheese tasted lemony, but it was delicious even so. I had a Nutella Tart, a graham cracker crusted Nutella Truffle, covered in chocolate fondant for $2.25. I also had a chocolate covered large cannoli and a chocolate dipped, nut covered cannoli for $3.25 combined. See pics! I would definitely go back here, I only wish it wasn't so far from home. Two words : CANNOLI PLUS This review is based on their delicious cannolis. I love their cannolis so much that I always buy extra and bring it to work. Their cannolis are perfect. The shell is crisp and not too thick it's filled with a nicely balanced cream. You can choose between a small/large cannoli. Regular or chocolate, which is pretty awesome. My boss spoke very highly of this place and when we had a going away party for an employee he brought them into the office. I'm not sure if that was a good thing or bad, because I can't stop going on my way to work almost every single week! The prices are reasonable compared to bakeries in NYC and Long Island by far and I think that's what keeps me from coming back due to many other qualities about their products and service. The girl that's at the front counter is very nice. It seems like she's been there for quite a while, as she knows customers by heart at this point (as the observer) I highly recommend the Chocolate covered large cannolis. The original are great too, don't get me wrong, but their shelf life isn't as good as the chocolate covered ones for some reason. Their shells are crunchy, which gives it a nice bite and taste. Their cannoli cream filling is to die for. I've never tasted a cannoli this good in my life, and I've tried quite a few to compare to. Best place in Brooklyn by far. The only downside I would say to this store is that they don't sell individual cookies. They sell them by the pound and most people don't want to buy by the pound so that's a disappointment because then I have to go elsewhere in Brooklyn to get an assortment of cookies that I want to hand pick and try. Prices: $2.00 large original cannoli $2.25 large chocolate covered cannoli $1.25 linzertart $2.50 muffins (I believe) the blueberry is very good. $1.50 for the mini cannolis I believe or $1.25.
