a cake with the word compuasao written on it
Lauren C.

The bakery itself is delicious however I opened the cake from here to find the word "Congratulations" completely BOTCHED. Please check your cake's spelling before you leave. This is extremely embarrassing... We purchase cakes for pictures and presentation but this is unacceptable. If an employee doesn't know how to spell something they can ask the customer to write it or google it! I hate to leave a review like this but I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else.

I got the cheese danish. It wasn't really what I expected because it wasn't a sweet cheese...it tasted more like ricotta. If your not into sweet cheese danishes then you would prob like this but it wasn't for me

All their pastries are fresh and fragrant--it's hard to go wrong with any choice. Sweets by the pound are great--you can fill up a box with different cookies and taste them all. Marzipan and almond confections are a little too sweet for my liking. Three color cookies were not too saccharine. The Most incredible original cheesecake! So decadent and delicious, not heavy at all, like most cheesecakes. You can devour half the pie and not blink an eye. Not too sweet--just perfect. A definite must try if you're lost amidst all the options. Beautiful custom order cakes available.

Nuccio's to the rescue! I needed to order a gender reveal cake same day and Nuccio's were able to help me tremendously. They created a beautiful cake that tasted amazing. I am so thankful for the cake they made and their help. Highly recommend!

Lobster tail and some mini pastries . Delicious ( my fav is the brown one:)
Nataliya K.

I took one star away only because of the Lobster tail , the dough was tough, not flaky at all... the cream was good though. We also tried mini pastries : the angel cake was very fresh and moist , red velvet was also good and there was another one( Oh, my God! ) just amazing: it's just melted in my mouth and the cream was to die for! The girl at the counter was very helpful and friendly. Their bread made fresh daily at 12:30( that what the sign said) . We will be definitely back to try other pastries , cannoli( of course) and their bread!

I like to get up early and start my day as the sun rises. It's the best time to visit bakeries. Everything is freshly baked and the good stuff runs out later in the day. My family use to take me to a little bakery a couple blocks from our Chinese laundry. We got there early and were greeted by the aroma of fresh apple pie. That and donuts were my biggest weaknesses. Nuncio's has a nice aroma of fresh baked bread. I walked over at 9am and there was a hot apple pie waiting for me. It had a nice aroma of baked apples and pie. Apple filling and the crust had mild flavors. Wish the crust was crunchy. Texture was a bit soft. I do like how they tied the pie box with string like back in the old days... There are lots of choices here. I should have gotten bread and some cookies. I enjoyed walking around Gravesend. One day I'd like to stay here again and walk around.

Loved this spot! Apres pizza we went in for some sweets to take home. Lovely Italian pastries and beautifully baked breads..................the kind of bread I do travel for as some of these bakeries were started by people who baked in Italy and do bread justice. I bought a lovely small bread/roll for $.50 Slices of light, lemony strawberry cheesecake were $1 each yes you read that right. A plain brownie was a just ok, but want to try more. Very competent service plus Nuccios rhymes with Cuccios(my childhood bakery on Ave X).

Pretty good as old school bakeries are vanishing..Picked up some fresh Cannolis & butter cookies.. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area

Lobster tail $3.50

Crispy lobster tail that's not too sweet! For only $3.50 Pretty for me :) went in after snowstorm Jonas after being trapped in for 2 days and they were opened until 5pm that day. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area! I'm interested to try the other Italian baked goodies next time around.

Lobster Tail with French Cream Puff

Came here in the afternoon for some Italian pastries and cookies. Place is small and clean with no chairs or tables, its buy and go. Display is full of decorative sweets of all kind. The girl behind the counter was willing and able to explain all the different pastry fillings they have. Got the Lobster Tail Puff with french cream, it was really good as the cream wasn't too heavy and the puff was lite and airy. Their fruit tart was so-so, it fell apart as I took the first bite. Will come here later to try different types of cookies and cakes

Also grabbed a few baked goods: - gf brown sugar corn muffin... lowkey my favorite. Soft, slightly sweet, didn't even feel gluten-free. - earl grey morning bun -- light, flaky, and had that subtle tea flavor without being too much. Everything felt fresh and made with care. Definitely going back.

We arrived at 9:45 and got the pastries at 10:30. The wait was longer because we had to wait for the specials to come out from the oven, otherwise we could've just skipped the line and ordered directly at the counter. *Mango Lassi Croissant $15 Simply amazing. Ngl a $15 croissant should be illegal...but I went speechless after the first bite. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY I am not even a huge mango lover like anybody does, but WOW this mango croissant was seriously the BEST mango pastry EVER. The pastry shell held flaky and crunchy, and the center was filled with a labneh cheesecake and mango gelee. We were surprised the filling wasn't liquid-y at all and held up well! We also tried the new Artichoke and Green Garlic Foccacia ($9), and the Fennel and Sausage Foccacia ($9). I get their foccacia slice every time I'm here and they never let me down. So pillowy and delicious.

Even though there is a line, you do not feel rushed or pressured to order quickly. On this visit we ordered plain croissant, chocolate croissant-fresh out of the oven, rhubarb croissant, black forest pastry and brown butter corn cake. The chocolate croissant was amazing. It is triple chocolate and cocoa powder is in the dough. It is filled with milk and dark chocolate, so creamy. The plain croissant was flaky and light. The brown butter corn cake was crispy and caramelized on the outside and soft and moist. The Black Forest croissant is a seasonal offering. It is made with their Triple Chocolate Croissant filled with chocolate cake and sour cherries and topped with mascarpone cream , Rhubarb & Custard Croissant . It is tart and sweet. The rhubarb is roasted and complimented with sweet vanilla custard. They all were excellent. Each were about $8. Highly recommend and don't let the line deter you .

If you have not been fortunate to salivate and then dine on ANY item that RB offers, then all I can say is, " Sorry for you!" Lol! Does it live up to the hype? YES! YES!YES! I am in love with their sandwiches, first 1. THE BREAD: worth the cheat... baked on premises. You can see it live when you walk in here and on India street. Repeat after me.. BAGUETTE..BRIOCHE..FOCACCIA..CIABATTA 2. THE OPTIONS... Repeat after me: TURKEY KALE BASIL PESTO.. TUNA..SPICY TOFU.. HAM WITH ROSEMARY BUTTER Your eyes are starting to dance.. there is a huge smile on your face, you feel a bit unsteady as the server asks "What can I get for you?" and you point to the sandwich display case and say"I want THAT, THIS and come to think of it... SAVORY: SCALLION TOAST, CHEESY PRETZEL BEAR CLAW, HEIRLOOM TOMATO TART 5. Service: TOP NOTCH My fave is the Turkey Kale and Pesto on Sesame Focaccia.. the kale is marinated with lemon juice and olive oil, turkey is a mix of light and dark meat, the pesto has pine nut and pecorino. Yummmmmm.. I was asked if I wanted a bag, yes, one that is big enough to pack the entire store! There are a plethora of fine eateries in Prospect Heights which I am always exploring... However, when your exploration leads you to a gem, like RB, or your fave song, you want it over and over again. There is always a line, they let clients in one at a time or in twos.
