This Nordstrom was also located in the same plaza as Boot Barn and Handel's Handmade Ice Cream... I thought to myself maybe they would have good deals since it's a Nordstrom Rack! I did go to Nordstrom a couple weeks ago and I found some sweaters for $40 and dresses for around $70-100 on sale. I thought to myself maybe I should wait to see if there's better deals at Nordstrom Rack... BIG MISTAKE! I should have just bought what I found the other day at NORDSTROM because what I found at the NORDSTROM RACK was priced higher! SERVICE: The lady at the fitting room was really nice although she did seem tired. After all, it was close to 9pm she must have had a long day. I hope she gets a nice rest... I found one dress for $174 and another one for $247! I thought to myself oh dear! That could definitely buy a lot of nice meals rather than a dress. So I decided to try it on to see if it was worth the price or NOT? It was not worth the price. For $174 and $247 it should FIT LIKE A GLOVE and feel like a MAGIC CARPET RIDE! Then bumped into two other sales associates and the same exact thing was happening. The only sales associate that was courteous and actually working was the young man at the fitting rooms. When I realized the mistake, I politely asked if that item could be removed from the transaction. The cashier immediately responded, "I can't," and offered no explanation or attempt to help. A manager was called over and seemed visibly annoyed. We were told there were only two options: either void the entire transaction and wait approximately 20 minutes for the gift card funds to be restored, or pay the difference and then return the football cards afterward for store credit. Since there was no way I was spending an additional $63 on football cards, we chose to void the transaction and wait. We specifically discussed that it was Father's Day, that we needed to get to a family dinner, and that we would wait the required 20 minutes so my son could repurchase the correct items. The manager advised us to wait near the entrance or continue shopping. After the 20-minute wait, we spent another 15 minutes waiting for the same cashier to help us complete the purchase, only to discover that all of my son's items had been returned to the sales floor. We were then told, "You just left the items," despite the fact that we had clearly communicated our plan and followed the instructions we were given. What bothered me most was not the store policy itself, but the complete lack of customer service. There was no apology, no empathy, and no effort to make a frustrating situation easier--especially for a child trying to use birthday gift cards. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unnecessarily difficult. The saddest part was that my son left the store in tears instead of excited about his birthday gifts. What should have been a fun experience became a frustrating and upsetting one due to poor communication and a lack of basic customer service.

Just like the Bargain Box and Huntington Collection, I can't call the Treasure Fair a thrift shop since it's not like a typical thrift shop, but more like second-hand boutique. You can tell that the volunteers take the time to highlight the quality of the available merchandise, especially the housewares and decor. It's very evident that all of the treasures for sale were meticulously cleaned and staged by the hardworking staff. There's also a pretty good selection of clothing for all ages. The Treasure Fair is a nonprofit managed by the Assistance League of Pasadena, and one of their worthy endeavors is Operation School Bell, which provides much needed clothing as well as school supplies such as backpacks and books to children in need in neighboring local schools. There's a very small parking lot but there should be plenty of street parking available if needed. Also, be aware that the store has limited hours since it's managed by volunteers. It's only open four days a week, Wednesdays thru Saturdays, from 11am to 2pm. Plan to check out The Treasure Fair to give much needed treasures a new. home.

Trying on clothes is always such a tiresome, deflating, exhausting, and sometimes lonely adventure... But when I came out of that dressing room, you would have thought I was on a runway, from how she cheered me on! Thank you, Jadyn, so much for your fantastic Energy, your input, and for making me feel so beautiful! ! I bought the dress! It has to be said that I looked for dresses at Nordstrom rack, gap, J.Crew, and torrid...and it was at Target that I found the perfect summertime black First Date Dress. And only $35.
