First of all, let me just express that the customer service and the two gentleman that helped me were at upmost, professional and phenomenal at their job at their customer service capabilities on today of Thursday, March 19 of 2026 at around seven post Meridian pacific . I understand that I at least got a brown bag with handles that had the vans logo on it, but I ordered purchased two pairs of shoes that were obviously going to be too heavy for the brow bag given and within 20 minutes of using said brown bag, it ripped twice the second time being the handle of one of the elements of the brown I was holding the bag. I saw the fact that they had tote bags with vans traditional logo and their logo with the squares and white and black and Vans all over it and I assumed I was gonna get that bag because it was obviously going to be stronger and get from my location of the Arcadia mall to El Monte via my Metro pass. I think corporate and brand wise one should reconsider who would specifically need and want something like the tote bag wise, given to a customer that will be using the bag through the mall and having the brand to be seen by other customers so that they realize that there's a banded shop in the Arcadia mall. I would hope corporate would reconsider using the cheap not well-made brown bags to give to give standard to customers to transfer the product from A to B whether it be car metro Uber, etc.. I felt like a ghost as she had me waiting for her help to get a shoe size she was helping someone before me I waited then when finished she disregarded me went to the cashier and I ended up walking up to the cashier waiting for her to help me just to tell me 10 minutes later to ask a guy on the other side who was fixing shoelaces on a shoe to help me. There was also another Asian worker just standing there staring at me from across the room the whole time not offering help either I wasn't even sure if he worked there at first but no one offered any help the customer service has gone so down my experience was terrible. I went to the store & I was getting shoes, while I was about to purchase them I saw that they were dirty. I asked for a discount & I was told that yes I could get the discount but that they will have to just mark the inside of the shoes with permanent marker "just in case i wanted to return them" as it's a no refund when given a discount. I wasn't told it was going to be a big mark & when they marked them they did a whole X with a red marker that now it leaves a stain on my socks. I was upset because they told me it was just going to be a single mark not drastically. They even waited till after I paid to mark them. I have never experienced this @vans. Marking shoes is something I never seen at any shoes company's. When I ask for the manager & supervisor I was told she was both of them, they're was no other one but her. I had purchased classic checkered slip ons at this location along with shoe cleaner and decided to clean my shoes a day before my wedding only to find out the shoe cleaner ruined the black ink on the shoe. I called the store 30 mins before closing explaining my situation and letting them know I was leaving for my wedding the next day and asked for a replacement pair. Not only did Daniel the manager replace my shoes, he replaced them with the "Pro Model" at no extra cost and gave my fiancé a size 66 replica checkered shoe for our wedding. Such great service! I received the most adorable pair of Hello Kitty Vans for Christmas and though it fit, I wanted to see if I could exchange it for a pair that's slightly smaller. I went to this Vans location and although they did not have it, the guy who helped me (I wish I remembered his name!) tried SO hard! Although we both realized they didn't carry it, he went out of his way (even when the store was busy) to make sure i knew what size of similar Vans would be most suitable for me so that next time, I'd be able to know which size to buy. He was SO nice! Checked their inventory, checked their future inventory, told me when they'd have new shipments again, asked his colleagues, and the whole time, kept a very positive attitude. I received $25 voucher on my email valid through 9/2023 for any purchase in store and online,I went to the store and very quick found the shoes I needed for my son ($55) I thought great I can use my voucher,prior to showing said voucher I read email and confirmed I'm able to use it and it states you can show it to cashier during transaction which I did and was told I needed to be log in I genuinely don't remember creating an act. My past experiences at this store have always been pleasant. My most recent visit was as well but I was annoyed & irritated by what happened. SIZING- I've been eyeing some old skool's in the imperial blue for a while now. Finally decided to pick up a pair when I went to this mall with my grandmaaa. I asked the guy if I could get a size 6.5 or 7 in womens. He looked at me and said "mmm, I don't think we have these in those sizes. The smallest in womens is an 8 cause these are mens shoes" and he pointed to the wall behind him. In the back of my mind, I'm thinking "wtf, something is not right but whatevs bruh." So I ask him for the standard black and white. Tried them on and told my grams that i'll buy them for now and see if I like them. I can always return them. As I make my way towards the front, I see outta the corner of my eye the same shoe on the boys/kids wall. Cue the whole WAAAAAIT A MIN HURRR. If kiddos can wear them, so can I! Tried the one on display and what was the size on those? 6.5 in womens. The exact pair I bought cause it was the last one. Ugh. I scoured the entire mall looking for soft bottom shoes for my little one and it took coming to vans to find a pair. Service was excellent and the gentleman was kind enough to bring out several sizes for us to try on. Shopping online for shoes I had somewhat of an expected price point to pay but in comparison to the major department store prices I was satisfied paying 25 bucks. Vans, on a side note to your shoes designers coming from a mother, do not create infant shoes that include shoe laces. The Westfield Mall in Santa Anita was insane for back to school. Looked like Christmas but with more frazzled moms and grouchy kids. No service in any store until we got to Vans. There is clearly an amazing store manager here and the expectation for service she sets with her team cannot be overstated. We got amazing service from everyone on staff and especially from one super nice associate who went above and beyond. This was the first time that I have ever shopped at a Vans shoe store. The first thing that happened when I went in there was that the employee greeted me in a friendly manner. Then when I found a shoe that I wanted to get， another employee eagerly got the shoe size that I wanted. I was getting white shoes. After the employee saw that， he came over and showed me a quick demonstration of their waterproof and stain resistant spray. It was pretty cool and it looked pretty handy so I bought myself a can. Overall my experience was great! It was fantastic! And now I am very satisfied with the shoes that I got. They look really nice. Again great customer service and a great experience. Today I went to purchase a brand new pair of shoes for work and regular wear. Since I'm so in love with Vans I went there. I knew I wanted black sinc emy uniform is black and white. So I settled for a pair of black slip ons. I had a girl helping me out and she engaged in conversation right away. I told her I needed a size 9. She came back with 3 boxes. A size 81/2 and 91/2 for the shoe I selected. And a size 9 in the shoe I selected but in white instead of black. She told me that they didnt have 9 in black, so she gave me 3 othe roptions. I thought that very nice of her. She was right and I actually liked the white better. So I bought the white ones. It's rare to find ppl with great customer service now a days. Love Vans products but this particular location is terribly under staffed. There is always a ridiculous wait to order a shoe and to pay. It's a very small store so lines often wrap around the store and keep other shoppers from getting to merchandise. I recommend ordering online or the West Covina store. read more
