I was there yesterday December 17th doing some Christmas shopping.. I heard the "store manager" Rosie discussing something with another customer then she proceeded to call that customer a bitch. I found that very unprofessional and uncalled for So much so that I had to leave without finishing my shopping. I have worked retail and that is unacceptable no matter what the situation is. I ordered lots of items online. Went to their store to return. Not too bad to return items. They were ok. What I didn't like was the quality of their merchandise. It looks ok but when u actually use it.... Then it's not so great. Snow boots not warm enough. Ski pants not warm enough. And they sold me a ski "jacket" that wasn't warm enough either. When I got to the mtns I was talking to other skiers about my "jacket". They said that the item wasn't really good enough to be classified as a "jacket". It was more of a "shell" that u might put over a jacket. What a waste. But I will say that the boots, pants, and shell the store let me return even though I had worn them. I saw a review from last year saying they couldn't lock their scooter because there was no rack but I was pleasantly surprised to see a spot in the corner. Last time I ever shop there. Me and my son went so I can buy him some shoes for school. When I found a pair of shoes I was walking towards the desk to pay, but then I noticed some air max shoes, which were by the door. so I stopped to check them out. As soon I went by that section the employee ran towards the door like if I was going to steal the shoes or something. It pissed me off but I decided not to make a scene and bought the shoes I was holding anyway. The fact that this was the only place that had shoes for my son was the only reason I still gave them my business. I went to this locate today to purchase a pair of walking shoes and I was turned away because I rode my electric scooter to their store and was going to walk with it inside. There was a man inside the store standing by the door. Who I would assume is there loss prevention employee to prevent theft from occurring. He told me I wasn't allowed to bring my scooter in the store that it was against store policy and proceeded to point at a sign at the top right corner of the door in such small print it was hard to read. There is no bike rack outside of the store where it could be properly be lock up while I went in the store. I won't be going back to this store again and will also be taking this up with the corporate offices. read more

The store itself seems to be a bit of an identity crisis. The majority of the shoes are for men. They have a women's clothing section, but no dressing room (though one of the staff said they had a return policy to compensate for that shortcoming). It looked like the customers that came into the store were primarily young families. The music playing in the background was hip-hop and rap. I'm not sure if it's this particular location or the chain itself. I'll be checking out a few of the other WSS stores in the future, so stay tuned. The place is clean. Service is friendly. Plenty of parking, as they share a lot in a large plaza. The brands that they carried were small labels, except for their sports shoes. But as such, the pricing is fairly low for many of there selections. I came here hoping to find a good casual shoe. Didn't really find one I liked, though if I were looking for sports or skater shoes, the story might be different. read more

Very attentive! They have a small selection on women shoes but I was able to find some Nike's in the kid's section that fit perfectly. I read a comment on this thread that said 'they assume you are stealing'. I'm sure it's a misunderstanding because every single staff member asked if I needed help and constantly picked up after every customer that misplaced a shoe. Disappointed, came here a month ago to buy some Jordan's and they were all bragging about a extra 25 bonus buck card if you spent 75$ I think it was and you had to use before January 28 2018 , but what I dident know and they dident say was that you had to spend at least 75 $ to use the bonus bucks , it said it behind the card in the small print but all over the card ( in big print In The front ) it says 25$ bonus bucks and also said it all over the walls , so I'm thinking I can use it on its own but nope. February 10th I purchased three pairs of shoes from the Covina location of WSS. March 14th I noticed a defect in one of the shoes I had not yet worn. No worries, I have the receipt. I will return to WSS for an exchange. Not a refund. Not for a different shoe. Same shoe same size. WSS refused to exchange the shoe. It seems that their policy only guarantees exchange within 30 days no exceptions. I managed a shoe store for 10 years. Our policy was, "please your customers" No exceptions! WSS you have lost a valued customer and I will expose your self-serving policy to all who will listen. For a 15.00 retail cost, you will lose thousands. The customer is not always right, but as a retailer, you absolutely can make exceptions I know this for a fact. You should send your managers to some marketing seminars. I should know better than to shop at wss in covina. This place has the poorest customer service. The female cashier has poor communication and social skills and the two rental security guards look silly standing in the front of the store as if its a nightclub. I was in an aisle looking at kids shoes and a snot nosed kid began to restock. He had the nerve to lean over right in front of me to stock some shoes and did not say "pardon" then he proceeded to stand in the way of the shoe display i was checking out. So rude! I told him " hey kid move outta the way". Im just over this place. The cashier girl didnt even greet with a hello just rang my purchase and took my money with no thank you please come again. Very poor, i returned items less than 2days of purchase in its original form,yes there was a little dust dirt etc from the floor of their own establishment when you try them on of course, the receipt does say 30 days of receipt and original form. I asked the manager do you take of photo of the bottom of the shoe what it looks like before and after we exit premise he stood quiet. This is a lawsuit and they dont even know it.
