Downstairs next door to Zales
Vic C.

This Hot Topic location is located inside the Westfield Santa Anita Mall, specifically on the 1st floor that is right next door to Zales (close by the food court). In this past week, I have been to this place twice. For the first visit (this past Wednesday), I came by to pick up my on line orders (free ship to store, but shipping is not generally free). I walked in and told the first employee I saw that I was here to pick up my on line orders. She told another employee to go get them (she was about to get off her shift). Eventually this employee came out and brought out several boxes and went through each box with me to make sure that I had all of my items. Then he placed all of my items (out of the box) in a plastic bag (easier to carry instead of in boxes). This employee was very friendly and I appreciated that he made sure that I had all of my items that I had purchased. I appreciate his patience demeanor as I was trying to find all of the order numbers through my email (because I forgot to bring my order confirmation print outs... just sitting at home on my table... D'oh). From one of my orders, I had earned Hot Topic Cash in which I can save $15 off a minimum of a $30 purchase (on non sales items). This can be redeemable on line and also in store. So I decided to come back the next day to redeem my reward (the date to redeem the Hot Topic Cash did not begin until 11/2/17, thus coming back on Thursday). I picked up a few items and then had an employee help ring up my transaction. He was helpful in making sure that I had enough to redeem my reward. He also helped me to sign up for their loyalty reward program so that I can earn points for future purchases (I really should have signed up when I made my on line purchases, but I didn't for some reason). Overall, I have had 2 great shopping experiences with this particular location and am glad that I did not have a poor one, as described by my fellow Yelpers of their bad experiences. I will definitely be back to purchase a few more items here for gifts in the future.

I went to the mall late last night and the same guy took care of me last minute and informed me of all the promotions they have going on thanks to the same guy . The tattoo man Adam Levine

Was trying to decide if I should do the buy 2 get 1 tee free or use my hot cash, since you can't combine those promotions.

They were here last year for the month of October, and it seems they've returned for the same time this year. There's plenty of parking in this area, and it's conveniently situated next to the newly opened Dollar Tree. Out of all the Spirit Halloween stores I've visited, this one is definitely one of the nicer ones. It's larger, with more space to move around, cleaner, and much better organized, with fewer crowds compared to other locations. Right when you walk in, you're greeted by impressive Halloween displays and moving animatronics. These are available for purchase but tend to be on the pricier side. The technology behind these displays seems to have evolved, with some animatronics even featuring sensor tracking--so their faces move as if they're watching you. This year, it seems they're going for a carnival theme, with decor like the "Wheel of Fate," "Down the Duck," and "World Famous Side Shows" stage, complete with a ticket booth and a walk-through "Fun House." It's all very inventive and adds to the spooky atmosphere. There's a huge selection of Halloween-related items here, from costumes to accessories. You'll find masks, pumpkin carving kits, and an extensive collection of costumes. They have everything from the classic skeletons and ghosts to themed characters. I was particularly impressed by the Spongebob, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Five Nights at Freddy's, and Harry Potter sections. However, the costumes are on the expensive side--for example, the Squidward inflatable costume is a hefty $59.99! Some of these costumes, like Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy, could easily be made for cheaper with a bit of DIY effort. Regardless, if you're looking to get into the Halloween spirit, this is a great spot to visit. The displays are fun, the selection is wide, and even though the prices can be high, it's still worth checking out for the experience alone.

Here you can find a wide variety of hand-crafted goods. And there is quite a myriad of objects on display. And there's a very large collection of pottery, including bowls, dishes and coffee mugs. This place is an excellent place to shop for those who are intrigued by foreign cultures. And the prices are extremely reasonable. And besides for being reasonable, you can find nice pieces in the under ten dollar range, well into the one hundred and fifty or more. There really is something for any budget. I was greeted when I entered the store and asked if I needed help...but was not asked every five minutes (something that I see as a major plus). Check out was a breeze with the clerk on duty. I will definitely come again.

The manager Laurel was so kind and welcomed me in! She answered all of my questions and explained to me how to the items are sourced and selected for the shop. This is a BEAUTIFUL shop with the most incredible selection of affordable gifts and treasures. Bright, cheery, and well-organized. I didn't intend to buy so much, but I found something for each member of my family and a few friends, too. My favorites were the ornaments, children's area, kitchen items (aprons, dish towels) and the beautiful jewelry!! I had so much fun browsing and I am thrilled with my purchases. Thank you, Laurel! You are running a fab shop here in Pasadena and I can't wait to return!
