You can buy their mystery pack and get good stuff from them, especially from their Stitch, but it can be pricey at $24 but is still cute to collect. They often have good deals, so it is good to keep an eye on that, and they have lots of plushies in the back of all types of characters. I suggest signing up to become a member because after spending X amount, you can either get free things (bag, plushie) or redeem points for spending. There were some items in display cages that I wouldn't have mind purchasing, but I didnt see any on the shelves. I did not ask for help, because I knew I shouldn't spend money on it, lol. I dont recall seeing staff on the floor to assist you with shopping, but the products are all out in the open. However, they are at the register and can assist you there. You can end up spending $-$$$ depending on your collectibles and daily use items. So the value of one item can be inexpensive, but your overall spending can be expensive. read more

Minus 1 star, the line queue for their checkout lanes should be clearly designated better and when it's super busy in the store, the store feels too cramped and the browsing aisles can't accommodate crowds of people all at once in the store. I love going to the Santa Anita mall and going into Miniso! Their blind box collection is huge and gives a great variety in selection such as Crayon Shin Chan, Sanrio and more! Miniso is a great store with a wide variety of items, but the customer service is awful. I've been shopping there since 2018 without issues until now. Recently, I bought a Sanrio blind box, only to find a piece of the character broken when I unboxed it at home. When I returned to the store to request a refund, I mistakenly brought the wrong receipt. I explained the situation to a staff member, a middle-aged woman with dyed blonde hair who's fluent in Spanish, but was met with hostility instead of a helpful attitude. Despite having a Miniso account to prove my purchase, she insisted on the receipt and claimed she couldn't access my purchase history and could only see rewards, which I understood. l asked her to call the manager (because there wasn't one present in-person) to confirm whether a return was possible, as I didn't want to drive back home for a receipt if it wouldn't resolve the issue. She refused, claiming the store was too busy, even though the line was manageable. Her attitude made me feel like my issue wasn't worth her time and I felt disregarded as a customer with a valid concern. After insisting, she reluctantly called the manager but got no response. Frustrated, I went home to retrieve the correct receipt and returned, only to find that the manager still hadn't responded. When I expressed my frustration, she harshly responded, "I told you like 5 times." I explained that while I understood she couldn't do anything, her tone and attitude throughout our interaction were unnecessary and unprofessional. As a customer, I expect to be treated with respect and kindness, especially since I approached the situation calmly and simply wanted assistance for a damaged product. My issue isn't about the refund--it's the rude and dismissive customer service. After years of supporting Miniso, I'm very disappointed by how they treated me when I needed assistance. I don't recommend shopping there if you expect decent customer service. Please do not expect the lady with blonde hair to be nice, she is not. This experience was so upsetting that I created a Yelp account to inform others of my bad experience. I'm concerned that a manager wasn't present in the store, especially just two days before Christmas. While I understand a manager isn't required to be on-site at all times, they should at least be accessible for issues requiring their authority, especially two days before Christmas. This past Sunday, my eldest daughter and I went to the Japan Family Day Event (horse racing) at Santa Anita Park. Afterwards, we headed over to The Shops at Santa Anita (previously known as the Westfield Mall at Santa Anita) which is right next door to the Santa Anita Park. We found ourselves inside a Miniso. Just a cute and lovely shop! Our go-to items are the plush toys. They are just so soft and cuddly! I used to collect TY Beanie Babies when I was in my 20's so I know a thing or two on plush toys LOL. There were only two plushes that caught our eyes... a really adorable marshmallow-like plush (known as mochi per my youngest daughter or macaroon per my eldest daughter) and a very handsome winking + tongue sticking out emoji (known as chican per my youngest daughter). They do bring us joy! Trust me... we have a collection of many of these plush toys LOL! Staff was friendly and pleasant. Prices are decent. Store was very bright and clean. Emaculately organized with tons of unique Japanese goodies... similar to Daiso. Wait a minute... I just googled Miniso and it's actually a Chinese company that sells products heavily influenced by Japan design. Wow... I did not know... Google is indeed our friend! Aisles are a little narrow though. Gets really cozy when there are a lot of people in the store LOL. Check out Miniso if you haven't already! I don't even know where to start with just how bad my experience at Miniso was. I used to shop here occasionally, but after today, if my life depended on it, I wouldn't spend another penny in this pathetic excuse of a store. I bought this really cute little plushie, and when I got home, I realized its stitching was coming apart. That's not so bad, I thought. I'll just return it. I went to the store with the receipt in hand, ready for them to return my money. Of course, I was met by the rudest and most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered in my entire life. This lady behind the counter, barely acknowledging that I was even there, looked at the plushie then at me and basically did that universal thing where someone acts like you ruined something. No apology, no sympathy-just a cold, irritated attitude. When I requested a refund, she told me that they don't refund money without "approval," and that the manager was not available. I asked if she could call the manager to receive some sort of authorization and she actually rolled her eyes at me and said, "I'll try," as if this was a large inconvenience. After 15 minutes of waiting on hold, she finally "called" the manager, surprise, nobody answered. She had the audacity to come back and tell me, "Well, that's it. I can't do anything for you." You have to be kidding me. At least try and make an effort to help or try and solve a problem? I asked to speak to someone else or get a real solution, but she just stared at me like I was causing the scene. This dragged on for what felt like an eternity before she simply flung the plushie back at me and said, "I don't know what you want me to do. It's not my fault." This was by far the worst customer service I've ever encountered. These people don't know what customer service is, and they clearly don't care. I'm appalled that a company like Miniso thinks this kind of behavior is acceptable. Do yourself a favor and avoid this store at all costs. You'll get better service from a vending machine. Counter help was some woman who totally clued me. The manager was AWOL. And as for Miniso: it's pathetic. Seriously, go somewhere else-this is a joke. Never coming back again, not ever. read more

Probably one of the better Miniso's that I have been to. I give this rating after most of their Marvel stock is gone though ( I remember in the past the store was completely filled to the brim with that stuff and I am not a fan). Since it's a bigger Miniso, there is a much wider variety of items. I found some of the Adventure Time items that were sold out at other locations that I wanted to gift to others. In the past we were also able to find Moomin items here too (just battery packs, but hey, it's something!). Additionally, a year or so ago, I was able to find a Jack-o-Lantern scarf style hat that had been sold out at other locations. Loved it. When they had their spend $15 and get something from the Mini-Zone deal, I was able to get cute Jake the Dog mirror here. There were actually good items in this store's section in comparison to others where it looks like a hodge podge of items that they want to get rid of. They also had make up and skin care fukubukuro (New Year's lucky bags) and I haven't seen that at the West Covina location. Definitely worth stopping by if you have to get a simple gift for someone. read more

Miniso is a low price consumer store located near the center court of the Santa Anita Mall, on the 2nd floor. The store sells various things, from cosmetics to sunglasses, from cell phone accessories to Bluetooth speaker and much more. But I did notice there are quite a bit of stuffed animals, especially Pink Panther. And most items appeared to be catering to young girls. So my kid was happy in there. They are based out of Japan and resembles a better version of Daiso. Miniso have spread internationally at an amazing pace, reaching over 2000 stores in just a few years. Prices are very affordable. But most of the products are not exactly necessities. Waking through, I really couldn't find anything interesting except for some Bluetooth speakers. But none were plugged in for a demo and it's too noisy to even hear anything. I was surprised to find a small precision tool set that I almost ordered from Amazon for about $15., and it was only a few bucks here. That alone made the visit worthwhile. It's not a store I would make a special trip for. But if I'm in the mall, it's very likely I'll drop in just to see what kinds of random things I can find. Worth a visit. read more

When I am in Santa Anita I always stop by Miniso. They have everything I could possibly want (but don't need lol). The store is sometimes well organized and clean other times there's boxes everywhere and workers on the floor taking up the aisles. Today I was craving the fluffy marshmallows of Hello Kitty that they sell since Daiso stopped selling them (such a bummer!). I was helped out by this young gorgeous asian girl! I unfortunately didn't see her name anywhere on the receipt so I have to describe her because she was fantastic! She had glasses and was my cashier a little after 2pm. She was taking only card and she was so sweet and bubbly. I love cashiers like her that smile throughout the chaos of the store (it was very packed and busy). She can't give me back change in dollar bills because she already punched in $20.24. She only can give me $5.78 plus my loose change back. $5.78+.22 equals to $6.00. Cute items available here! This Japanese chain store has items that generally start off at $1.99. The quality seems better than Daiso and way better than the 99 Cents Only store. The funniest thing that I saw today at this location was the brown "mouth mask". It seems to be a reindeer? Haha! That's odd... I'd rather have the bunny eye mask... or a cute penguin neck pillow... There were cosmetics, electronics, purses, hair accessories, costume jewelry, and other products. It's fun to look at what you can buy and what you might need... It was a bit crowded, but well lit. I went here yesterday with my boyfriend and the staff there were extremely rude! We noticed they had the Sanrio X Miniso Rose Party My Melody and Kuromi figurines and we wanted to buy the pair. However the lady who worked there last night was extremely rude and essentially shooed us off, saying they can't sell it since it's not registered in the system. Excuse me? So you're not going to sell an item even though you have it on the shelves already on display? That makes no sense. Then there was a little boy with tattoos who kept yelling at all of us to leave as it was closing hour and just wanted to get rid of all of us. I am pretty disappointed with this Miniso store at the Arcadia Westfield Mall. I do like this store because it's filled with lots of useful items and miscellaneous stuffs, at an affordable price. But Next Time or maybe not... I am going to think twice when I'm back. Because the item I got looked like it's used before. Also check your items carefully before paying. Because the cashier made it very clear to me NO REFUND or EXCHANGE etc... after I paid. As I saw this cute marvel storage organizer. I think yes I'll get one and put it in my closet as a mini drawer for my clothings. But as I opened it up. Put it together I found out: their are stains, and glue strip and it made me kinda disappointed and disgusted with it. I don't want to put my clothes in it at this point. Who knows where it's been. Miniso, newly opened (on November 18), located at the Westfield Santa Anita Mall (2nd floor), across from Torrid and next door to Foot Action USA and April Snow. I stopped by here with my mom on Black Friday and boy was it crowded (they were having some Black Friday specials). As I browsed the aisles, I saw that this store has the same concept as Daiso (which there is one located outside in the promenade of this mall). All items are from Japan and all items are $xx.89. Unlike Daiso where most items are $1.50 (unless otherwise specified), all items end in $0.89. Items are definitely most expensive than Daiso. But I did love the glass drinking bottles that were enclosed in a silicon casing (hopefully reduce glass breaking/ shattering if dropped) and really may consider picking up one on my next visit. Like Daiso, you will find a lot of the same type of items that includes kitchenware, hair accessories, cute stuff animals (all along the back wall), stationary supplies, bathroom necessities, make up, etc. For the return policy, customers can only return items within 7 days (with receipt). If you plan on purchasing anything from this store, bring your own bag or pay $0.10 per bag at the register. If you are a fan of Daiso, I would recommend stopping by this place (but just know that this place does cost more. On one of the walls of the store, it has the writing "Japanese Designer Brand", so that may be why?) and taking a look for yourself. read more

I love Daiso and it's cute things for cheap. Miniso is a direct competitor to it, but instead of competing for 1 dollar items it offers higher quality items for a slightly higher price. The line is generally long but the wait isn't long, the employers said it's always busy but since it's new, it may die down. I've seen sturdier storage boxes, small vacuum flasks/thermos, bigger toys, sturdier sandals, battery banks and wireless speakers, more quality cosmetics such as perfume, makeup, skin cream. Since there's still several light pinks item (my favorite color) I enjoyed it as a more upscale step up from Daiso. If I'm in the neighborhood I'll definitely come back! Unfortunately, the store is much smaller than any Daiso I've been to, so much less selection and space, and since there's no line section we end up winding around the merchandise. Accepts credit and returns! There isn't a line section so it's a nuisance when lining around the merchandise. No bathrooms but it's in the mall so there's always bathrooms. A friend took me here, and it's such a cool place! I love the displays, the colors, and the textures. The plush animals and pillows are so soft. I kinda went nuts on the travel items, the pens and markers, and all the cute things! My friend even found a shark umbrella, including open BUTTON for $3! We got one for each kid; where can you find a kid umbrella that cheap?! Service was phenomenal, and I spent more than $15 and received a free Pink Panther key chain. So cute. read more

Pretty freaking great dollar store, sort of. To elaborate: there's a dollar store- cheap, sometimes even embarrassing stuff. Then there's Daiso, the upscale dollar store with cool and cute stuff which starts at $1.50 for most items. *Then* there's Miniso, the upscale Daiso with items starting at $1.99 which makes Daiso look bad. It's Japanese and I love it. It's much smaller than Daiso, so it also feels a little cluttered. Since it's also in that middle of the mall, it feels like it gets a lot more foot traffic than Daiso does, which can be suffocating. Everything is super cute and priced to sell, so you might get tempted to buy junk you don't need, so dish towels that look like stuffed animals (totally not kidding, see photo). The downside is because it's still a dollar store, sometimes if you find something you like, you might not find it again once it's gone. read more
