I really enjoy shopping here and would love to spend more time (and money!) in this store, but it's consistently so hot in the kids' department that it's uncomfortable to browse. Service has really gone downhill here. There was one young helpful girl who assisted me but everyone else does not look like they want to be at work. I asked a lady there to help with getting me a fitting room and she ignored me, walked past me again, and still ignored me. That's horrible customer service. I get that at work everyone has their individual responsibilities but the store only exists because of customers. At least acknowledge them. I waited around for 15 minutes and there was nobody at the register or around to help. There were people working but they hide from customers and are unwilling to help. This review is for the restaurant. Service is excellent. I do wish they served breakfast items in some way to add some variety to the menu. I do like the lunch menu options. The soup here is excellent. Both the Roma tomato basil soup and the chicken pot pie soup are excellent here. Both are flavorful and filling making each bite better than the last. And of course one cannot leave without ordering the royal cookie warmed up. Toasted coconut, buttery macadamias, and pools of melty chocolate in every bite was the highlight of my meal. read more

I felt compelled to write this review about my shopping experience with Rosa, who assisted my daughter and son‑in‑law with selecting strollers, bassinets, and car seats. She carefully demonstrated how to use each stroller they were considering, highlighting the features and explaining the differences, including the advantages one model might have over another. We were genuinely amazed by how advanced modern strollers have become. My daughter's mother‑in‑law, Susan, and I were both surprised at how difficult it was to make a final decision--each stroller offered something unique that set it apart from the others. Susan and I told our children that we would be purchasing whichever items they chose. Because every stroller had features the others did not, our children struggled to decide. Ultimately, they chose the Silver Cross Wave 3 stroller, a Nanu stroller, and a Nanu car seat. Although they offered to cover the cost of one of the strollers and the car seat, we insisted on purchasing everything for our grandchild. We were incredibly grateful for Rosa's patience, kindness, and willingness to allow our children to contact her directly if they had any follow‑up questions. This review is for their online order pick up/return process. I had ordered a dress online, and went to pick it up in store. The pick up area is on the second floor, and there's no way to miss the area. The lady helping me was very kind and quick. I took the dress home and ended up not liking it. I was able to bring the dress back to the store and returned the dress with no issues. The employee helping me with my return gave me some recommendations on dresses, but I kindly thanked her and told her I had another order on the way. Reflecting on a past experience at Nordstrom this Mother's Day, and honestly, it still hurts. Back when my son was only eight or nine months old, I was at Nordstrom browsing the racks while waiting for my husband. I hadn't been shopping in ages, and I was just trying to enjoy a few minutes of 'normalcy.' When my baby started crying, I gently comforted him while still looking at the clothes. Then, a salesperson walked up to me with a cold, judgmental look and said, 'You know, your baby doesn't want to go shopping.' She walked away before I could even respond. As a mother, you're already doing your best to balance everything. To be shamed by a staff member for simply existing in a public space with a child is unacceptable. It's sad that such a hurtful comment has stayed with me for nearly a decade. Mothers deserve empathy, not cold-hearted judgment. read more

Special shoutout to Celeste in the women's clothing department. After losing all of the weight I gained from pregnancy I wanted to get a pair of new jeans. Celeste helped me out and I was so impressed by her skills as a salesperson. I never felt pressured at all but she was so helpful in a way that I couldn't say no to her suggestions. I planned on only buying one pair of jeans but I walked out with three pairs - all of them which I genuinely loved. I told her that since I'm a new mom time is my most treasured currency right now so she offered to be my personal stylist so that next time I can come and she will have a few outfits selected in advance for me to try. Love it when I run into such excellent customer service. I have a certain level of expectation when I shop at Nordstrom's but Celeste went way above and beyond what I ever could have expected. This is for the cosmetics department, specifically the Guerlain section. We purchased the Parure Gold 24K Radiance Primer and requested gift wrapping since it was intended as a present. Unfortunately, the wrapping was poorly done. The paper had visible white scratches and was wrapped in bright red, which was not appropriate for a gift. We politely asked if a different wrapping color was available so we could rewrap it ourselves at home, but the staff member responded in a dismissive and rude manner. We said it was fine if it was an inconvenience, and are planning to wrap it ourselves. This experience was very disappointing and unprofessional. read more

This review is for the Shoe Department customer service: On Wed 10/29 (evening) I was assisted by a male staff member and I asked if I could get a price adjustment for shoes I had just purchased after seeing it was cheaper on Bloomingdale's website. The staff member said ," we don't do price adjustments anymore". I was very confuse because Nordstrom website has a page for price adjustments and in the past, I've been able to make price adjust ments in-store. He then looked uncertain when I questioned him .. and went into the shoe room to ask someone and came back out and confirm that they don't do price adjustments. He didn't even offer to take a look at the price of the website that I had in my phone nor check for anything in the system which I felt was poor/ inexperience customer service. I honestly wasn't 100% convinced, so I went upstairs to the pick-order department and the helpful staff member double check and confirm that a price adjustment is possible for the listed price on Bloomingdale's as long as it met certain criteria which she helped explained and I greatly appreciate her help but felt that this is something the shoe department should have taken cared of in the first place. I visited the beauty department for a Chinese new year event with Yensa Beauty. It was set up very nicely and the staff was very accommodating. I appreciated how organized the event was with the seating arrangement and demo that a Nordstrom beauty artist did for the guests. After the presentation I experienced a shade matching with the Nordstrom staff and it was a fun time. I visited Nordstrom Arcadia on Monday, June 30 to exchange a pair of Valentino heels I had purchased just a few days earlier. I wore them once and realized they were uncomfortable, and also noticed that part of the sole (the glued section) had already come loose. A male staff member was helpful and called over a woman--possibly the manager--for assistance. She told me I couldn't return or exchange the shoes because I had already worn them and they were no longer in original condition. She also mentioned the shoes were in perfect condition at the time of purchase, so the defect must have been caused by me. Her only solution was to glue the sole back on the spot, saying it wasn't a big deal. However, I paid $1,200 for these shoes--having them come apart after just one wear is not acceptable. Even if it's a small issue, it reflects poor quality and is disappointing. She also said they couldn't take the shoes back because Nordstrom wouldn't be able to resell them. But frankly, that shouldn't be the customer's responsibility. I declined the offer to fix them and went to the South Coast Plaza location instead, where the staff was much more professional and understanding--they exchanged the shoes for me without any issue. This experience at Arcadia was frustrating and disappointing. I hope the management there reconsiders how these situations are handled and treats high-end customers with more care and consistency. For anyone dealing with returns or exchanges, I would strongly recommend going to the South Coast Plaza location for a better experience. read more

Feb 2026. I was just wandering on a Friday afternoon to let traffic die down. I had zero intention to buy anything because most of the salespeople in men's clothing are incompetent (sorry, but just being honest). Definitely certain women sales associates and men have no business in men's clothing. This was my go-to store from 2003 to until around 2021 when experienced sales people left. They brought in a slew of horrible people since, so bad that I started to shop at the Cerritos, Century City and Las Vegas stores. With a stroke of unbelievable luck, I walked by Bobby W, my always reliable & knowledgeable salesman probably since 2003 ish, but he exited in 2020 and is now back part-time! He still remembered my name, while the other 5 salespeople won't even say a simple Hello. My career continue to rocket up since the early 2000's and Bobby/Nordstrom's was there to help outfit me along the way, not only for work but for weddings and casual wear too. Bobby has a great attitude and is patient. He is extremely knowledgeable about men's clothing, and has great advice and tailoring tips. Bobby does an excellent job of laying out alternative products for me to choose from. As a result, I'm able to confidently shop and make good purchase decisions. From no intention of spending a dime here, I bought a suit and shirts, and will purchase a Canale sport coat only because Bobby helped me with his expertise, just like old times! read more

My wife and I go to this location for purchases. The last time we were there, after other purchases we stopped by the beauty department. There was a sale and my wife was going to buy a perfume that she often wears. The saleslady was highly recommending another scent and was a bit pushy about this other scent. We decided to try it. It seems like that particular brand and merchandise we received was very old, as if it was stocked a very long time ago. We have been customers to Nordstrom for decades. They don't have the No.1 de foundation yet; So, I started look it the other line LES BEIGE CHANEL colors I wanna try~ first I try on my hand few colors and then decide to put some in the container. After a while the Mexican lady.. (I am not sure?) came to grab my tissue and touch the tester container ask: it's that yours? I said yes while I still try on the other color. She said that's enough, you don't put on that much to try, no one do like you, they only put one drop on conditioner~ I said: earlier I didn't saw the B30 so I wanna try on hand. She said: I don't care, I never saw the people like you. I: maybe I don't take this one tester, I leave here. She said: I don't wanna it, you already touched it, is dirty. From now on, I already feels very uncomfortable, I mean I know has raised this kind thing~ but, CHANEL? Even in Beverly hill store on Rodeo Dr won't talk like this! Does one drop can be finished on all faces? Specially the tester bottles is with the pumping tiny head. Honestly I am only put half in the mini container. I am not that greedy! Then after I went try Estée Lauder (6:30 maybe) I hear they has one foundation is very good too (Re-Nutriv line) The dye hair yellow brown colors sales is very willing and helping, after I try on two colors from her suggestions, I asked for simple tester container; she do it for me with no piss. I am appreciate! I mean this line foundation is one time double price than CHANEL, but she give same volume as I put on in my container in CHANEL. Honestly I been used CHANEL when I was very young~ for now just a treat in Chinese New Year, like a loyalty. All the brand has good products is so competitive here.. customer can buy online too you know? how come this lady is kit the customer out of booth? Ok~ Like she said.. I had a really disappointing experience at Nordstrom. I went in to return a pair of designer shoes that cost $1,050, and the return process itself was easy. Since I was already in the store, I decided to look around for another pair of designer shoes that would go well with a dress I have. I was dressed casually and wasn't wearing any designer clothes , but that shouldn't matter. A sales associate approached me and asked if I needed help. I told her yes, I was looking for a specific shoe in white, size 36. I also mentioned that if they didn't have the white color it was fine, but I definitely wanted to try size 36 because I know my size. I'm usually a 5.5, so I wanted to try a 6. She kept insisting that I try size 37 because the shoes "run small." I politely explained again that I know my size and wanted to try the 36 first. She then said she would go check if they had the white pair or the size 36 in stock. However, she never came back. A few minutes later I saw her helping another customer who appeared to be more dressed up and wealthier. At that point it felt very disrespectful and honestly discriminatory. Just because I was dressed casually doesn't mean I shouldn't receive the same level of service. I walked in ready to purchase another pair of designer shoes, but instead I felt judged and ignored. The department store was getting a new make over so it was under construction. My daughter and I go to the Anastasia counter and was greeted by a lovely lady named Sofia. Who worked at the Anastasia counter. My daughter and I were very pleased by the service and professionalism of Sofia M. This is for the Chanel counter only, IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD! I've visited the Chanel counter at Nordstrom in the Santa Anita Mall several times, and unfortunately, my experiences with one of the associates have been consistently disappointing. On multiple occasions, she has been rude and unwelcoming, which makes the shopping experience uncomfortable. She repeatedly questions where I get my sample containers from and makes it a point to comment on it each time, which feels unnecessary and unprofessional. Her tone and attitude often come across as dismissive rather than helpful. The only time she was noticeably pleasant was after my friend and I had previously raised a concern about her behavior. It seemed as though her kindness during that visit was prompted by the prior complaint. Recently, my friend went in again simply to request a sample and possibly buy a product, and unfortunately experienced the same rude and unwelcoming attitude. Luxury shopping should feel inviting and customer-focused, and sadly that has not been the case during our visits. I hope management addresses this, as it genuinely affects the desire to continue shopping at this location. read more

This is for the CHANEL cosmetics and fragrance booth. The older Hispanic lady that works the booth, on mine and my friends first visit a while back asking for fragrance samples, she immediately questioned us in a harsh and accusatory tone about where we got the sample containers, even though they were clearly displayed for customers to take. She made us feel as if we were doing something wrong simply for requesting a sample. It was uncomfortable and very unnecessary. I am extremely disappointed with the repeated unprofessional treatment I've received at the Chanel perfume counter at Nordstrom. The older Hispanic sales associate lady who frequently works the booth has consistently been rude, dismissive, and condescending toward my friend and I. I used to be a secret shopper at the Brea mall so sometimes I go to certain place multiple times just to see how sales associates would treat me and so earlier today I came again with my boyfriend just to see if she would treat me the same and sure enough she continued to be rude. I was behind some customers waiting for them to move out the way so I can smell the perfume and sure enough the same Hispanic lady zones up to my boyfriend and I and says that I come here all the time and too much and never buy anything. But I purposely don't buy anything from her because from the beginning she has been so rude. She then continued to talk to my boyfriend and I very rudely and embarrass us in front of the other customers which was so unprofessional. At this point I don't know how she is still employed at the Chanel counter. This behavior has occurred on multiple visits. Each time we approach the counter purposely to test her, she responds with attitude and irritation. The only time her demeanor changed was a couple of months ago we previously raised a complaint to another associate and the sudden friendliness felt forced and insincere. Chanel is a luxury brand known for high standards of service. No customer should feel belittled or unwelcome for asking about products that are openly offered. I hope management addresses this pattern of behavior, as it does not reflect the professionalism expected from either Chanel or Nordstrom. Although the staff helping me out was nice, seeing the way that staff member spoke to them was unacceptable. The customer's first language obviously wasn't english and tried asking for a new pair of shoes in the back instead of the one on display. The employees are always pleasant, but sometimes it feels like they're intentionally avoiding eye contact. I don't usually need assistance beyond the cashier, but on those rare occasions when I do, it's rough. What I would like to bring attention to is their Curbside Pickup. They have something like 16 stalls dedicated to curbside pickup and recently it seems at least 12 spots are taken by cars NOT there for that service. I had a bad experience in the Cafe after buying something and having it wrapped in another dept...after I paid for my meal I was not given a receipt. In the past when I have eaten there regularly....THAT DAY I got my drink as a refill for my drink I had bought earlier at the E bar...I sat down with my gift package and waited for my order with my drink refill in a to go cup...soon some one came to me and said I could not sit here ...I said I was waiting for my order...I had no receipt to prove it...I will NEVER eat there again...they are not welcoming and cost so much more than they used to...I recommend to just eat or drink at the E bar where you deal with people that know how to be pleasant... read more
