I stay coming to Kohl's mostly for their Amazon drop off & I always have a great experience. The guy I always deal with is super friendly & nice. They're usually quick & I get to go on my way! Since I receive a little coupon after returns I sometimes shop around & stop by the Sephora in there (: Yesterday I did my return & got a $5 off coupon so got some stuff since I needed to find a gift for this weekend! We received great, thoughtful service from Jennifer in the Women's section. The wife was overwhelmed due to the large variety of options available. But Jennifer saw that, came over, and offered personalized service that was much appreciated. For a moment, we thought we were in Nordstrom's. Did an online order for the kids new school shoes. Came to pick up our order and the shoes were gone. Apparently there are no checks and balances for order pick up. They simply put your order in an easily accessed area and you just take the order without anyone checking ID or order number. Yes we got the refund, but we lost the sale price for our kids shoes and now have to find them elsewhere. No point in shopping online someone else will just take what you pay for. read more

I came here with puffy eyes wrinkles under my eyelids and make up smeared which is really pretty embarrassing, but I was able to come across a female named Jackie who works at Sephora, which is very nice and very attentive There was about four or five customers asking her a questions while she was assisting me as she was able to answer their questions promptly while assisting me and testing out different make up product Unfortunately, there is a rude lady that's about the same age as I am that just kept interrupting, and she politely went and assisted People need to be more patient I don't think that was fair at all There's also a big selection of different make up and products . I visited Kohl's in Monrovia yesterday to exchange a dog bed that had a hole, and unfortunately, the experience was frustrating. The cashier, Rosmery, seemed unfamiliar with the exchange process and voided my transaction without explaining, which resulted in losing the $10 coupon I had applied. When I offered to grab another bed, she declined in a tone that felt dismissive. Even after a supervisor stepped in, the final outcome was still an incorrect refund, leaving me short by $10. She messed up my bank account and clearly didn't want to be there that day. Her superwiser was very too soft to her and they seems very friendly. It seems like she was the superwiser the way she was specking to her superwiser. At the end she dumped all her mistakes and too many transaction canceleations on her superwiser again. Kohl's in Monrovia is hiring rude and very uneducated employees and this is why the loyal customers like after 20 years stoped shopping there. The managment is too weak. I understand mistakes happen, but clear communication and a friendly attitude can make a big difference. A simple greeting, listening to the customer's request, and explaining the process would have turned this into a positive experience. I hope Kohl's provides additional training on both system procedures and customer service skills so future interactions are smoother and more pleasant. read more

COVID-19: Social distancing is enforced at this establishment. All of the staff wears a mask. All customers are expected to wear a mask too. The staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is open and available for customers to shop in with limited capacity. They are also sanitizing in between customers. While I was shopping in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they said they had a couple of them at the moment if you apply for a Kohl's card or is a member of Kohl's. They also do not allow pets in their establishment. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is massive because they share the lot with several other establishments. Parking spots are wide and big. You won't have a problem with parking. Even prepandemic parking was easy too. Store: The store here is pretty massive. It is also very clean, tidy, and neat. The aisles are wide and easy to navigate. Their dressing rooms are closed at the moment, but an employee said that they will open it up soon since COVID is getting better. Staff: The staff here is very welcoming, nice, friendly, and courteous. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum. read more

We bought two vera wang turkish cotton bath towels. It shredded all over the laundry machine. also it smelled heavy men's cologne. Kohl need to have Sephora store sealed the parfumes & colognes section in the sealed cubicle. When you walked in the store, the parfumes are too overwhelming. Parfume galore. We have a very sensitive skin. The parfume got into my hair, clothes & skin when you leave the store. Tried shop on line to avoid going to the stores or curbside pick up. I dont usually shop at Kohl's and one of the very few reasons why I come here is for Amazon returns or online order pick ups. My visit to this location was because of pick up. Kohl's recently had a 40 off of a purchase and I needed to get a luggage for my upcoming trip in March so it really was too good of a deal to miss out. Everything was smooth. Placed order online, got a confirmation email next day that it was ready for pick up and went and got it. The line at the customer service window was a little long because it was one line for both pickups and returns but it did go a lot faster than I expected. The guy helping me was fast and knew exactly what he was doing. I love my new luggage which is just a 28 inch Samsonite but in purple. Its going to replace my Kipling and this new one is good for normal use I believe! read more

Shopping in Monrovia, Los Angeles... I really like Kohl's, no matter what city I'm in. From Las Vegas to Torrance and Monrovia, the items for purchase are "new" for Hawaii residents because there's no Kohl's in the 50th State! So, when Tim said that Kohl's is a partner with Amazon and can do Amazon returns, we went with high hopes! I was doing a return for a friend. Unfortunately, she had started the return with the UPS process, so Kohl's was unable to help us. Awww... At least the gal at the Amazon kiosk (near Customer Service) was pleasant and helpful! Next time, when I'm in Los Angeles again, I'll make sure to stop by Kohl's Monrovia. This location was super easy to locate, and I switched off here and City of Industry when I wasn't at work. But aside from using their restrooms, I had to run errands at the Amazon Station of course just like everyone else who largely shops from Amazon.Com. I've been here a few times and the visits had always been so-so until my recent visit. My boyfriend had placed an online order for store pick up, and by the time we got there within the 2 hour mark, we got an updated email that the order couldn't be fulfilled. But the website clearly still showed the item was in stock. We spoke to the employee working in the pick up section (her name is Cindy, too!), and she went above and beyond to help us. Her customer service was impeccable and I really felt valued after being helped by her. She followed up with the floor staff that worked in the department, made sure we got our item and allowed us to pay for it in the return/online order section versus making us wait in the long line up front. I think this is my favorite Kohl's. It's always well stocked, organized and clean. Even the restroom is clean. Whenever I have a question, a sales rep can be found to answer. I've gone in to purchase items and been told by associates to bring the receipt back the next day for a credit adjustment (because the items go on sale the following day) I love that I can make Amazon returns here. Came here to return an item back to Amazon. Very easy to return at Kohl's! They package and return and with the return recipe prints out a 25% coupon that's good for the next 7 days! I don't have time to shop today anyhow. Talked to a manager there about a problem I had with an online order. She informed me that Kohl's cash earning starts tomorrow (x7 days. Terrible experience. I went in to return an amazon package and thought I would pick up a few things while I was there. I was given a $10 off coupon when I returned the package and got my items. I was patiently waiting in line and overheard the only cashier directing a customer to the returns area as she used the verbiage "if you actually follow the signs". Thought this was rude but decided to excuse the matter. When I got in line I put down my items and the coupon. She immediately went into why the coupon wouldn't work the my chosen items and was belittled when she said "if you actually read the coupon". At this point I wasn't having it. I told her that her attitude wasn't needed and I would no longer be needing these items citing her rude demeanor as the reason why. I live less than a mile from this location and have never been treated with the level of disrespect she was spitting. It's no wonder places like Amazon are thriving and your store was empty. Kohl's - It's Friends and Family time - Department Stores Near Me - MONROVIA, California

Growing up as the eldest of six boys, my folks did their best to make every dollar count... since most of their paychecks went to simply feeding us, clothing stores were an infrequent destination for shopping. To this day, I joke with my parents that I got the newest stuff, but the shortest leash, an ethereal truth that, perhaps, only an oldest can understand. Once or twice a year-- generally around Christmas or Easter, my grandfather would accompany all of us out to Mervyn's (previously located at this site), where he would purchase each of us an outfit: a shirt, a pair of dockers, maybe even sneak a t-shirt or a pair of shoes in there. He would sit quietly in a chair while my brothers and I got ripped through the store by Mom, having us try stuff on in the aisles, and meeting us at the register when the melee concluded. Mervyn's and grandpa aren't around anymore, my brothers are all grown up, and now Kohl's graces this anchor tenant spot in the shopping center. Honestly, if it weren't for signage--and of course, the ever changing styles of clothing-- one is hard pressed to tell much of a difference between Mervyn's and Kohl's. Were it not for the necessity of wearing coats and ties to work, I'd pretty much be a t-shirt and board shorts kinda guy. But when the day calls for a collared polo, or a pair of Levi's, or a long sleeve button down, or a pair of khakis, or even a reasonably priced sport coat, Kohl's is usually hit and rarely miss. If you're 6'3" and not built like a drought-afflicted aspen, it can be tough to find stuff here sometimes. For whatever reason, there's a lot of slim fit (read: have a snack, junior) stuff here for the casual 130 lb. male and XL stuff here can be blousy and weird, like some kind of throwback to the Sears "Husky" Department. While it is pretty comical seeing my calf quickly test the limits on a pair of skinny slacks, it's kinda a bummer. Still, I can usually find something here. Pricing is interesting here: the hilarity of seeing a $40 shirt advertised for $120... then placed "on sale" for 66% off!!!" is palpable, I wonder if anyone is really fooled? Evidently, there are other departments here: candles and bedspreads and alarm clocks... but I don't go back there to that corner of the store. There's a slight pang of nostalgia coming in here; remembering the simple pleasure of getting a new shirt, recognizing the sacrifices my parents made to ensure we always had what we needed. Thankfully, buying a shirt at Kohl's is no longer a financial decision as much as a function of situational necessity. Since I hate shopping generally, I like Kohl's because I get in, I buy something I need, and I get on with my day. read more

Let's hope this works! I love this store because there's always a sale! Even if the item you want isn't on sale, you can always depend on a coupon from the mail. Sometimes it's 20% off your purchase, $10 off your purchase of $20 or more, or better yet $10 off your purchase (no minimum purchase)! During some sales they have Kohl's cash if you spend a certain amount in a single purchase; you get $10 off your next purchase starting a certain date (usually a few weeks later). If you haven't been to Kohl's, they have deals with designers who make a line of products especially for their store. Names like Vera Wang, Chaps (by Ralph Lauren), Daisy Fuentes, soon to be Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony, and much much more. Aside from clothing sections for everyone, they have huge sections for shoes, house wares, hand bags/accessories, jewelry, make up, and toys. Kohl's is definitely way better than Mervyn's; it's far less crowded in terms of space for you to move around while shopping, it's cleaner, and you can find what you're looking for easily... minus the clearance sections... those are just chaos! Side note: the only thing that I can find wrong with this store is that you can never find an employee to help you right away. read more

I've been coming to this particular Kohl's since 2011 when our department moved to Monrovia. My coworker has a Kohl's account and will ask if we want to go to Kohl's during our lunch break if she has a 20 or 30% off coupon. I used to think Kohl's was pricey because they have "celebrity" name brands like Lauren Conrad, Jennifer Lopez, Vera Wang, Daisy Fuentes... just to name a few. I remember coming in before and a lot of the women's clothing (shirts, dresses) were usually around $40-60. Well, now that I've learned to browse in the 60-80% clearance racks, I've found so many great deals AND on top of that my coworker uses her 20-30% coupon. I've also bought an Animal Planet dog bed for $12 (originally price was $26.99), workout attire, dresses, Hello Kitty shirts, formal shirts for work, shoes (DC men's sandals) etc. I've never paid more than $15 for a single item here. My latest find was a pink lace dress my friend found that was marked $4.80!! (original price was $48.00!) Plus 20% off from the coupon. I pretty much got that dress for free! So yes... anytime my coworker asks if I want to go to Kohl's, I definitely will! I've always managed to find something at a bargain every time. Wow their curbside pickup system is easy to use and fast. I placed an order on Saturday night and got an email Sunday morning that my order was ready. When I got to kohl's on Sunday, all I had to do was click the link in the email and an associate came and put my order in the trunk. Very seamless contactless shopping. I had a terrible experience yesterday at the store. I bought couple of dresses four days a go. One of them was not fit. I went to the store for returning the Xl one and exchange it with the L size. Unfortunately I've lost my shopping receipt, however I had my $20 cash back coupon of that shopping on me. The Lady at return department was so unwelcoming and when I told her that I don't have the receipt, she literally treated me like a "Thief". I was so uncomfortable and told her that I have my cash back coupon and maybe it helped her to found me on the system, but the way she was talking and treating me was same. Finally she found my shopping receipt, and exchange my shirt, but it hurt me with her behavior. I refrained from giving this store a review my last time here until today... another bad experience. The lack of work ethic here astounds me, especially at the front desk. Today I stood in line waiting to be helped while three associates were at the registers, and only one was helping a customer. A manager walked to the front, asking if one of the ladies working was "ready for another customer." She meant me. The lady doing nothing responded "no." Even if it was meant as a joke, not funny, and not professional. Ended up she couldn't even help because I needed to return an item, so she directed me to the back left of the store... except it turns out it was to the back right.
