Style is probably more for mature (okay, older) women, but their jeans and sweaters are stylish enough for anyone. Worst customer service experience EVER! I returned a purchase that I paid by debit. I simply asked the manager who handled the return how long would I expect the amount credited back to my account. She was completely dismissive and replied she wouldn't know and that she did what she had to do on her end and that's that. Fine, I call customer service to get a reply, but the issue was it looked like I did not make a return on their end. The customer rep advised I return back to the store to make sure the return transaction was made properly. I return and mention to the manager my conversation and she gets upset telling me she doesn't understand why I called and what do I expect her to do. I ask if she can speak to the customer rep who was still holding and she refused. At the end of the day I should not have to run through so many hurdles to find out when I should expect the credit issued, make sure someone is doing their job correctly and be spoken to in such a dismissive matter. The worst online in store return I've ever endured! I was asked why I was returning so many items and why I waited so long to return. Every item had tags, was accompanied with a receipt and had more than a month before the return window expired. I was also scolded and told not to return so many items next time and not to wait so long. Are you kidding me?!!!!! It's an online order. Customers take a chance when ordering. I wish everything fit, but it didn't. All of that scolding over a 15 item return. Who trained these women?!!!! Online shoppers beware!!! read more

I think the sales ladies at this store are wonderful especially Row Sonia and Lynn. They are always so attentive, cheerful and go out of their way to help. Always a great shopping experience I love this store because of them. They always make great suggestions and if something isn't in stock they find it on line for me and have it shipped. I have been to several J. Jill, and this one is below par. The sale ladies were pushy, not helpful and one told me that I should try on something g since everyone else Was buying it. They are not good about honoring coupons as other J Jill stores sre, and their return policy is poor. The attitude is if you buy something, you are stuck with it. The only reason I am giving this particular Store 2 stars is because I like The clothing line. Find another store or order online. Poor customer service and mislabeled merchandise. Recently, amongst other garments, I purchased 2 pairs of pants labeled the same size. I wore the "christmas pants" which fits perfectly. However, the second pair has a waist size 1.5 inches smaller. The size was mislabeled on the tag sewn onto the garment and on the paper tag. When I went to exchange it, the sales lady said it should have been labeled one size smaller than indicated on the tags. Fortunately, there was another identical pair on the rack. I put it up against the pair that I have already worn at christmas and the waist size was identical. But I did not try it on. At the time of said exchange, there was an after-Christmas sale and I was able to get the reduced price. However, I had to explain to 3 separate times why I had to return the item due to mislabelling. I should not have to keep repeating my explanation. Once should suffice. When I explained it to the sales person who rang up the original purchases during my first visit when I made the original purchase, she should have taken care of this exchange personally. In the alternative, she or the store manager should have instructed the cashier to do an even exchange but credit me the difference in price. They both declined to assist me but send me to the cashier. Of course, I had to explain to her for the third time. When I put on this third pair after I came home , I discover that this third pair which was on sale was 1 inch shorter than the pair I had already worn at christmas even though both were labeled the same size. Conclusion: some of the clothing in the store are mislabeled in size. Caveat: one must try on every single piece of garment that she intends to purchase. Do not trust the labels on the clothing as the sizes may not be accurate. Do not assume that the measurements are identical just because they are labeled the same size. read more

My dear wife of 47-years and I recently visited the J. Jill Arcadia Store and I must say, as the man of the family, it was a comparatively pleasant experience in that the gentleman's seating was comfortable and the background music did not assault the senses. Further, as I sat there reading, I heard words that one does not often hear these days: "Welcome. How may I help you?", "May I start a room for you?", "It's nice to see you again". These are not terms commonly heard in today's self-focused world and the manager of the store, I believe her name was Lynn, and her team went out of their way to ensure my wife received the best service she has ever received at a J. Jill Store; and my wife has been shopping at J. Jill for 15-years. Accordingly, my wife responded in kind and enjoyed one of her most productive shopping trips in many a day. In the months to come she will graciously stand-out at church, and every other social event we attend, dressed in J. Jill's remarkably tasteful line of clothing. I will be honored to have her on my arm and we will return to the Arcadia store the next time she is in need of a wardrobe update. She looks great in J. Jill attire. read more
