When we came in, the workers said hello. I said, "Hello, how are you?" but got no response. I had been eyeing a bag that I really wanted, but it didn't seem like I--or any of us--were a priority to the workers. Another young lady who was shopping was asking questions and didn't seem to get a response either. We also called 3 times before entering and no answer. This was my partner and my 2nd time visiting this store front in the last month. The first visiting, my partner knew exactly what purse she wanted and we were very fortunate to have the guidance of Jenny see us all the way through the process. Jenny engaged us in such thoughtful conversation that wound up being as memorable as the birthday dinner we had shared just prior. Coming in the second time, we were assisted by Zack who was kind enough to provide us some water bottles while we shopped. To our surprise, Jenny - who happened to be working that day - had recognized the both of us and soon we found ourselves with opportunities to build on the conversations we left off on. I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service at the Coach store in the Santa Anita Mall. I purchased a gift for my daughter's birthday in March, and she later tried to exchange it but was denied because she didn't have the receipt. I completely understand policy, but what bothered me most was the lack of effort or consideration when I finally had the chance to visit the store myself. Due to travel and scheduling conflicts, I wasn't able to come in sooner, but when I did today, I asked if we could at least get store credit. The manager Aysa made no attempt to look up our account or offer any kind of accommodation--just a flat refusal. No interest in retaining a loyal customer or even making the slightest effort to help. I've made multiple purchases from Coach in the past, but after this experience, I will no longer shop at this location. Very disappointing. read more

I came here looking for the Brooklyn bag and the Asian lady helped me pick out my bag color and was very kind. She was honest and gave me her opinion when i was indecisive. She was very patient with me and I truly appreciate that :) Also an Armenian/ middle eastern lady helped me with the transaction, wrapping the bag, signed me up for an account and boxed everything together. I didn't know you can customize the tag! Which literally was the cherry on top! They were so patient, answered all my questions and was very kind and happy! The customer service was TOP NOTCH! I purchase a mini heart purse, which I realized was way too small to fit anything in it. I went in to return the item. As I reached the counter, I realized I had forgot the purse. The gentleman that helped me was so nice. He explained, there was a similar larger purse, which I would probably love. He showed me the bigger purse, he said it's our last one in the back, you can purchase it and later bring back the smaller purse. So I agree. Fast forward today, I came in to return the smaller purse. The woman, that helped me was so indifferent with my request. As soon as I said "I have a return" , she immediately took the receipt, and proceeded to say It is past 30 days, we cannot return this item. I explained the situation, she said sorry, it's written on your receipt! I said I'll take an exchange at least. She said we don't do any exchanges or returns after 30 days. Giving me a frown and shrug. I said really ?!? She said yes sorry. After going back and forth with the situation. She finally said I'll do and exchange, but has to be the same value, and it has to be done now. So there I was looking for something I didn't need/want valued at $250. Such bad customer service. It was very difficult finding something valued at the same price. As I was looking around, she stepped up to me, ( not to help) but to remind me the item has to be the same amount or greater. ( very uncalled for) So I ended owing $40, she charged me, and said this is a final sale. She was un empathetic to the situation. Also did not provide the receipt of the $40. In addition, one of the items was the "last one" which was on display. She mentioned it, and did not ask if that would be ok. Or if a new one could be mailed to me. I've shopped many times at couch and I know the usual Procedure. I wish I took her name. Anyway, I will not be shopping at this location ever. And maybe even not coach again. Dunno why the quality of customer service has gone down so much from the time the store was out in the promenade, but the two Asian girls who were at the front today were so rude and unhelpful. I came in to ask if they had a gift wrapping service for a Coach item I purchased online a while ago that I wanted to gift for a friend's birthday. My request was rejected brashly (even after I offered to pay for the wrapping) and the girl just said that they don't sell boxes. I don't know how expensive those boxes/gift bags are...or if it was just company policy, but the way that the girl handled everything was so uppity and rude & she even said, "this item is from the outlet, which is why it's so cheap". 1, it actually wasn't from the outlet store...but sold out on their regular site...2, why would it even matter if I got it from the outlet store? Is Coach outlet not also selling COACH products? 3, I was willing to pay for a wrapping service that many retail stores offer...only because it was going to be a gift for someone else. It seemed like they didn't want to help me or provide any sort of customer service if they weren't going to make a commission off of me today. They gotta hire front people who care more about the brand, quality, and treatment of customers...and how bad looks when you're stingy with your time & gift boxes. read more

I've had really pleasant experiences shopping at this Coach store during and not during holiday sales seasons. The staff is always on point and are knowledgeable about the different style and leather options for the purses you are looking for. When I had to put a bag on hold to purchase for my mom's birthday, the Coach staff was very helpful with setting that bag aside for me to pick up the next day. Overall, the service is excellent here (as it should be). I love the Coach brand and how special you feel even with the Coach box wrapping and the Coach branded water that the staff hand to you while you wait for your free Coach monogramming. read more

I honestly went in to show my husband the new Dark Fairy Tale collection and walk out but I ended up buying everything in the end. Catherine was very patient and helpful and it didn't take much convincing to get me to buy things I wanted. I also ended up buying a pair of shoes which Jeffrey (sorry if I remember your name wrong!!) embellished for me! The rivets he placed were exactly to my liking!! I was so happy!!! I just went to this store to check it out and see how it was. It is located on the outdoor stores of the Santa Anita Mall. :) It looks very new and pretty but the store is a little bit small. There were a lot of people so I felt very crowded. So I would consider this place alright but like the Brea one better, it is way bigger then this one. read more

I came into the store to make a return and to send one of my bags for a complimentary repair. As soon as I came in I was greeted by an Asian man who looked like a manager & an associate. The associate was friendly it was the manager that gave me an issue. When I showed him the bag that I needed to send out to repair he was rude with his facial expressions and tone of voice. What happened is I bought the soft tabby in brass hardware from the reloved section because that bag was sold out for a few months and I didn't want to wait for a restock. When I received my order in the mail one of the straps wasn't fully stitched. He was saying that that style isn't new and wasn't even on the reloved section. I know working for a company you're not going to know everything about every product but he was wrong. The soft tabby isn't a new style. He then made an ugly face and said "& you kept it?" Like hello of course I did I got it $100 cheaper since it was on the reloved section. I just want the strap fully stitched like it should have been in the first place. This is my second negative interaction with the Asian man who I think is the manager. I'd love to not come to this location because I don't want to see him but it's my closes location. Aside from him all the associates are very friendly and help me with any questions I have. Especially the tall manager from the stockroom who is very friendly! Not following covid procedures. Went last Thursday 7/22 and what I'm assuming is the store manager, a Caucasian lady, was rude, didn't wear a mask and got in my space. I was in workout clothes with my tattoos showing and felt she completely stereotyped. The Asian associate that was helping me at first was nice enough. I just wanted to exchange a gift for a different color. I didn't realize it was 5 days past the 30 day window. It was just an exchange, for a gift. The "manager" came took my receipt from the other girl, didn't say a word to me and looked for a reason not to help me. She very happily told me it's past 30 days no exceptions and shoved the receipt back at me. This is name brand service? And most company's have extended exchange times with covid. I didn't realize how long ago the person who gifted it to me purchased it, as were not seeing people in general as frequently. Will never shop there again. read more

I came in to try to get my purse tag embossed, and the guy who asked if he could help me was rude, loud, and short with me when I asked. I told him it was a birthday present and he said "we can't engrave outlet items, you will have to take that elsewhere." Not only was this done in a tactless way, but I came to find out it wasn't purchased at an outlet but online from coach.com. At no time did he offer another solution- I had to ask what my options were. I offered to buy another tag so it could be engraved but gave up because it seemed as though he couldn't be bothered with helping me. Gave this store 1 star because i did not have a good experience. Visited this store because i haven't been to the new location (indoors by bath and body works) as i walked in with my husband we were not greeted by the two associates (tall and short Asian girls- they were speaking mandarin) or acknowledged until i asked about a wallet i saw online. I wanted to keep looking around but it was very uncomfortable. They watch you and only speak to you when you pick up an item and try to force you to buy and say that it's a popular item and will sell out and not come back. I have been a customer with coach for 6+ years. I have seen the same bags for the past 2 years and they say it will not come back. They just want to make a sell and get you out of there. Manager needs to retrain or hire more genuine workers who want to work there and like their jobs. read more

Mimi is an experienced and knowledgeable saleswoman who played a huge role in finalizing my purchase. She is not the type that will just tell you every purse you pick up looks so nice on you. Instead, she was honest and straight to the point. She gave me opinions about the purses I was looking at and explained how practical each one was based on their size, structure, compartments, etc, which is really helpful when you're not too sure how you would utilize the purse yet. Honestly, sometimes you don't know until you try a purse out for a while to feel it out, but I felt Mimi's opinions and advice really help me make the right choice. The purse was not in stock at the store, so she quickly placed an order and had it shipped to my house. Order was processed Monday 9/1 and my purse was delivered to me today Wednesday 9/3.
