Ugh! I had the worst experience at this location. All the staff, except for One was super courteous and friendly, but my gosh! Coral... she look like she was unhappy being there. Granted I was doing some returns that I got from another store because it just didn't fit quite right on me, but I went to the cash register and some other lady was helping me and Coral was on the side, not even a "hi, how are you" but she did make sure to chime in because I was rummaging through my bag looking for the receipt. She asked me if I purchased this online or in store and if I did it in the store, then I could probably just go back to the same store and return it. I thought to myself why would I do that so I went to my car and got the receipt when I got back she had this irritated look on her face and again not even a welcome back or acknowledge my existence. A human being was walking through the doors. I'm not sure if she knows but she works in a Customer Service field and also too. I didn't come to your house to chitchat. I came into a place of business so returns are going to happen hand-in-hand with Sales. I returned one item because the other two items were Missed tagged and one of the other managers asked Coral if I can return it there of course she said no I'm not surprised but the whole experience was super weird and super irritating. It just didn't sit right with me. I can't wait until her district manager reads this and asks what happened I'm sure she'll come up with some lie, making herself the victim. Love FP. i went in tonight and both of the sales girls were not happy and not nice. just made the experience of going into the store so uncomfortable. I never come into the mall and try things. I tried to make small talk neither of them were having it I actually think the two of them actually just didn't get along and they were both miserable. If I have to make any returns I honestly will not come back to this location. It was a bummer. read more

Went into to help my girlfriend find a last minute outfit to see Sabrina Carpenter and Ava really helped us! She was bringing outfits and helped my girlfriend find pieces that she didn't even know she needed! Great salesperson and it's obvious that she cares and has fun. Besides Nordstroms,this is my all time favorite place to find my date night dresses ,and cool pieces...or accessories ... They have the complimentary stylists on site helping us answering questions ,or put together outfits for your occasions-- in addition, they assist you until you found your pieces ! I just love the casual smart styles , and the quality fabrics--*purest imported silk , purest cotton & 100 % cashmere they all felt so comfy. I am always astonished how I am able to discover newest arrivals that are able to ltied in with those I've purchased from the past seasons . Free people had a huge sale today. There was a regular sale section, a sample sale section with 40% off and some other items already on sale with extra 25% off. I'm a huge fan of this store for bohemian patterns, loose Flowy dresses and top, and earthy colors. Today I scored on a long gown and an Levi overalls. Tip: know your style or what you are looking for. Items run small in hips here so if I wear size 4 or 6 in other stores, I'm buying size S-M or 30-31 here. Dresses and pants are geared more for taller girls 5'7" - 5'11" ish. read more

They decided to close their doors an hour before the mall closed saying they close at 8 when the rest of the stores closed at 9. The website said 9p and when I called the store, they kept hanging up the phone. Every other store in the mall was open. Can they do that? I had items on hold that I needed and doors were locked! I love this place! The workers are very attentive and helpful. Its the closest free people branch to me, so I basically come here to get my free people fix. They always have everything Im looking for! Not to mention, the location is in a big mall with tons of other stores to look at. Overall, pleasant shopping experience! read more

The fitting rooms here are gorgeous! I love free people and buy from them often, this is one of my favorite stores to frequent because they have a lot of selection, the staff is nice, and they have a pretty good sale section. Its never super busy in here, and I have purchased/returned or exchanged with no issues :) read more

ZERO STARS if I could Customer service is SO BAD here. It's not like they're high school kids who hate their jobs. These are 26-30 year old women who clearly think they are better than some people who walk in. NEWS FLASH.. YOU are the one that works there.. so I would think before you judge. I've bought dresses from Free People for years. I personally prefer Anthropologie, but sometimes this place has some great dress options. I NEVER dry my clothes here and have never had an issue.one dress in particular shirk this one time. I brought it up to the sales clerk and she was so condescending. "This is why you should have dry cleaned it." YEA OK.. MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE PUT THAT ON YOU LABEL. I felt that instead of trying to assume everyone is cheap and there to take money, she should have been more sensitive to her guests and handles the situation a lot better. The Glendale location is DEF not like this at all. You could even hear their store manager telling the lady on the phone what to say in her own condescending tone. So rude. Definitely worth an email to their corporate office. Such a shame when small locations negatively represent a great and reliable brand. NEVER coming to this location again. read more

I frequent this location irregularly and have always had very positive experiences. My encounters with staff are short and sweet, the store is clean and put together (not messy or disheveled), and the fitting room area is just gorgeous! I don't have any negative feedback and just wanted to shed some cheer on this page because everyone trying to return things is having a bad experience. So if I could leave a 0 stars it would happen and I would also like to mention that if you are plus size women they are rude to you and don't help. My Wife went in no one said hi to us no one tried to help us. As we are looking around two skinny women walk in and all of a sudden the little bitches behind the counter come alive. Do not shop here. The staff is not trust worthy. The Arcadia CA store saleswoman put the wrong return slip in my bag! The slip was for a different day. The store refused to accept the return claiming there was no record of the sale in their computer! I had my bank stmt clearly showing the purchase. And, I've had problems at this store before. Rude comments and now blatant cheating. . Free People says they have no control over their affiliate stores. After I solve this problem, no more Free People clothing. Obviously, the Free People company is not interested in repeat business. Free People does not take responsibility for their rogue affiliate stores. Further, the company's computer system is out of date and can't track purchases. Target does a better job with returns. Free People does not treat it's customers with respect. I seldom write reviews, but felt compelled to write one tonight. This is the first time I've gone out shopping in a retail Clothing store in over a year, and I was a little nervous. The two women working in the shop were so kind and friendly, it made such a difference to me. I was able to use the dressing room and take my time - it felt like a luxury after such a long quarantine year. Of course the clothes are beautiful too. Mallory went above and beyond any of my experiences EVER at Free People. I have always appreciated the quality and style Free People has to offer as a company in general, but I have never had a decent experience regarding customer service (I frequent this store in the mall and the Old Pasadena location). The selection is what keeps me returning but after my experience with Mallory last night just before the store was closing, I will live and die Free People. She was attentive and professional with just the perfect amount of personable and I was able to be honest about my concerns and ended up ordering a dress I was so torn about. She also helped me figure out which slip to wear with a certain dress I had previously ordered that was pretty much see-through! Fingers crossed the Santa Anita FP staff, retail support/leadership (DM, RM, VP whatever whatever) read this.... I am consistently disappointed by the utter lack of service at this Free People location. This is the third time I've attempted to shop here and third time receiving ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Each time I've entered the store I have been wearing FP and on a mission to spend some $$$!!! The associates are much too self-involved to even muster a greeting or acknowledge another human presence. Last time - I had multiple items ready to try on, but the associates were too busy modeling in front of a mirror to ask if I needed assistance. This morning I stroll in and seem to interrupt some DM, whatever whatever visit and do not get greeted until I'm halfway through the store holding merchandise. This time the conversation regarding juice and how to talk about fabric sourcing (erm China perhaps?) to customers takes priority. Heeeellllo, first you have to actually strike up a customer conversation before introducing some semblance of PK. The visitor did not nudge the team to help me or was also oblivious to my existence. I hope this feedback is used constructively - as one Retail Region Leader Whatever Whatever to another. I will choose to spend my $$$ hard earned from customer service somewhere else. Today I had called about doing a return and the woman on the phone said it would be completely fine. So I drove about 10 miles to this location since the woman confirmed it would be fine. Once I got here Lauren had approached me and was being incredibly rude and following me around BUT when ever id ask for help she seemed it was a bother. Finally I gave up even trying to find the items I went for and just wanted to return the items and leave. Lauren continued to follow me and told me that it was impossible for someone to tell me that I could do the return cause she would not authorize it and to go to another location. She was incredibly rude and not helpful at all. Never coming back to this location. read more

Very excited that a Free People finally opened closer to my neighborhood. This FP is much larger than normal ones, having occupied two store spaces. This means the selection would have a wider range, which is true to some extent but not as much as you would expect. The one has fair amount of jeans and dresses but they're lacking in the accessories (jewelry and handbags). The intimates selection is probably the largest, with a lot of bralettes, panties and even some dresses and rompers. Another plus is that there are a lot of dressing rooms compared to other FP stores. The employees have been pretty courteous to me the few times that I've shopped there. Although there have been a few times where there wasn't anyone at the dressing rooms but I think it's because the space is so big, they don't necessarily see me waiting. OVERALL: nice FP compared to other ones, a average range of pieces and shoes, could also have better sale selection read more

Was super excited when I saw this location open, since it's closer than the others, but the selection is NOWHERE near as good as the Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Topanga or Glendale locations. Not quite sure why, maybe it's just growing pains, because the space itself looks fairly large. But there seems to be less merchandise volume, and the items available don't seem as good. Hopefully, they can resolve this. Even Bloomingdales seems to carry more items than this standalone does. The store itself is pretty, though, they have a small selection of shoes, and a decent selection of intimates/lingerie/loungewear. I haven't experienced the customer service issues that others have, though. I've made a few purchases, and done a couple returns, and have never had any problems. This location was one of the prettiest Free People stores I had ever been in. All the women working there were so kind and attentive, but in particular Kristine went above and beyond to make sure I got what I came in for. I found a pair of joggers in the sale section that were too big for me. She searched for them, checking every SKU color online and going so far to call other locations to see if it could be shipped to me. Overall, great experience at this location and will definitely make a trip down there again. read more
