I'm never a person to review,however I felt like the moment we walked in we were judged. I was dressed business casual and two male employees stared at me and my friend in a rude manner and they did not ask if we needed help or service like most places do. Also, there was a white person inside the store and they received better service than we did. I also read some of the reviews regarding this location and there was one similar to my experience. In all honesty I think the behavior of the employees showed discrimination and borderline racism. Maybe more training is needed from the management on how to treat people with respect and not stare rudely I was ready to spend my money here but decided not to. They lost a good customer. read more

Buyer beware the quality is gone downhill. This used to be my dad's shop and over the years I've gotten a few shirts, hats, trunks etc. Right before the pandemic in 2019 December I bought a couple shirts and a hat for a couple hundred dollars and used a $50 promo card and that was that. However after a couple months one of the shirts had deteriorated after less than a dozen times wearing it. The pandemic sit in and I didn't return the shirt until I was vaccinated recently May 2021. I return the shirt that didn't fit with the tags still on it and they gave me $30 and the value of the shirt was $80 and the guy explain to me that basically my $50 off was only on that one item none of the entire $200 I spent however you have to spend $200 to get the $50 off go figure. I was also explain to me that the shirt was wear in tear. The fact that I wore the shirt less than a dozen times doesn't even matter shirt should last a couple years I would think not to mention this is a loungewear shirt that I wore on the pandemic couch. Since I have an account with them from a long history of purchasing I thought that they may be Gaebel to give me some sort of store credit or at least some sort of explanation why this is the third shirt to fall apart like this and they said this has never happened before however I'm the one customer evidently this is happened to three times... Long story short... Too late I would really really highly recommend you go to a higher clashed quality sporting outlet who doesn't sell barbecue sauce alongside their clothing. This dinosaur of a store has seen its day. Oh yeah. The $100+ hat is also falling apart. The band is too big and coming be off. Too big now because the paper weave has buckled and shrinking from head sweat. I mean I wear it in the sun not working out or anything. Ridiculous!! read more

I recently went to Tommy Bahama in Pasadena at the Paseo Shopping Center. I always deal with Mike. I've been going to this Tommy Bahama store location for years. Mike is great salesman. No high pressure and he seems to know exactly what I'm looking for. I always purchase plaid shirts. It's nice to walk into a store and actually know people. The whole vibe in this location is great. I look forward to shopping there and running into Mike because he always seems to be there. It's pretty apparent that Mike likes what he does because he's so good at it. Keep up the great work. I received a gift for my birthday but the shirt was too big so I called the online store and this store. Both places told me I could go an exchange the item for the right size. I can tell you that even before saying a word the hostility from both guys was evident and made very clear that I wasn't welcome there. I do not want to think that it was due to my ethnicity but all points to that. The questions, which I understand need to be asked were made as if I had a stolen item. When finally the decided to exchange the the blasted shirt and give me store credit this clerk just dropped the card on the counter when the decent thing to do would be to hand it to me. Finally I got what I wanted but the whole thing left me thinking is this is a way they treat client (in my case Latino clients) no wonder people avoid them. The whole experience was very unpleasant and to be honest bordering on degrading. For sure they lost a client and have someone who will let anyone who is not white to avoid the store. In summary the staff is unpleasant, rude, and certainly need to look pass race and color. To be fair the only professional person I. Received absolutely terrible treatment by Michael, who is a sales person at this store. I went in there to return an item my mom had purchased for my brother, still in its original package. He rolled his eyes and started throwing the items around the counter in an irritated, rude and nasty manner. He complained that he spend too much time helping my mom, that my brother needs to be here for the purchases. I explained that my brother works 24/7 in a family business, although I did not owe him an explanation, he replied by saying "he works 24/7 but he has time to go on vacation?" Yes, that is a statement and judgement I got from a sales person who's job it is to sell vacation clothes. Please beware, that at this location, when Michael wants to help you, he really doesn't, he is cranky, highly incompetent (even said he doesn't know anything about sizes; also keeps telling customers that it is $25 dollars shipping charge PER ITEM if you order something to be delivered, which is incorrect it is $25 per order), judgmental, unintelligent and all together just disgusting. By the way, I was the only person in the store, there was absolutely no reason for his rude and disturbing behavior. Don't go in, and if you do, do yourself a favor and stay away from Michael, he doesn't want to help you and he really isn't capable of doing so. read more

This was our first visit to a Tommy Bahama store, and it was a truly wonderful shopping experience. After receiving a bunch of gift cards as a present from our dear friend who had recently updated his entire wardrobe at another TB store during a weekend getaway, my wife and I spent 3 hours at the end of the evening trying on and selecting beautiful tropical clothes for our upcoming anniversary trip to Kauai, as well as comfortable, stylish non-Hawaiian options for day-to-day and casual business &/or weekend wear. Kelly and Diego went above and beyond to take such great care of us, special ordering a few items that were not in the store in my wife's size and triple checking all of the gift cards and items, all folded and packaged beautifully. The store had such a pleasant aesthetic and festive music that it got us even more excited for our trip and the rest of the year. Yes, their clothes are not cheap, but they are very well made.
