Purse find :-)

I love this TJ max they have cute purses, luggage's, and women's clothes. I always find something here! What's great about this location is it's 1/2 homegoods. This store is always clean and ready for some serious shopping!

Amazing destination for everything! This is my good luck store. I have outfitted so many homes with just one stop here. It's vibrant , upbeat, clean and so much fun!!

Welcome!

What a great store in a great location. T.J Max is a one stop shop, and this one is no different. This store offers everything from indoor home to outdoors supplies, games, clothing, gifts, gift wrap, electronics and so much more. The best part of this store is that they carry some great name brands and non name brands at very inexpensive prices, I am always excited for a great deals. Employees were fully staffed and very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of where items were. All shelf's and products were fully stocked and in great condition. Parking here is a breeze, huge parking lot! This plaza is being fully redeveloped with a few new stores and great ones at that, just in time for those holiday shopping days. Enjoy Shopping!

Monrovia now finally has a TJ Maxx (grand opening was today). Located in the same plaza as Michael's, took over the old Albertson's Market. This TJ Maxx is unique in which it shares the space with HomeGoods (and seems a little smaller than other TJ Maxx locations). Sadly this TJ Maxx is not a runway location (the one in Pasadena is though for those interested). Being that today was the grand opening day, I was pretty disappointed that there were no grand opening specials. However, those opening a store card would get 10% off their total purchase (but this is available year round, not just for the grand opening). But regardless of store specials, it was definitely busy today (but wasn't overly crowded at least). Employees were friendly and greeted customers as they entered the store during my visit (came this afternoon with my husband around 4 pm). The ladies restroom (towards the back of the store, near the shoes) was clean upon this visit. On this visit, I was interested in the luggage department (towards the back corner of the store), which was on the small side. There wasn't as many items to look through. Although on the smaller side, I have a feeling I will still frequent this location because my mom is a huge fan of TJ Maxx, Marshalls and the like (and she likes it when I drive her places to go shopping). Glad to welcome the new addition of TJ Maxx to Monrovia and look forward to when this location starts their yellow tag clearance.

Leather purse bonanza! I promise I did not overly fondle the goods (not much) but O M G So many leather items. I LIKE THE LEATHER. A few sweet finds AND this particular location shares space with a Home Goods. You should stay away. You have been warned! Well kept store.

Staff is limited, my son had to use the restroom and you need to ask an associate to let you in. I had to walk around to find someone and it sounds like they are short staffed. There's plenty of items on sale, some shelves are empty but some are full such as the clothes and the walkway to the registers are full of stuff! Pricing, pretty good, however, some clearance items weren't a good deal and only a few dollars off for broken or unusable things (other than clothing) such as a broken latch on a nice lunch box or a candle holder but it's cracked. I was able to find someone things I need, such as kids sandals but I was only able to find one his size (and the one I was looking for!). I also looked at the clothes, you might find that one piece at such a great price but most of the things aren't really as great. I think the walkway where there's so many merchandise to see before the registers is such a tempting challenge. Luckily the cashiers were quick so I didn't have time to look and pick things I probably don't need like snacks, candy, and inexpensive small travel things... I thought this was a previous target because there's large spheres outside but it wasn't, the balls made me think it was...

Tons of parking available. They have some fun shops and great eateries such as Trader Joe's, Kohl's, Panera Bread, Ike's (by the way, they just opened 3 months ago), Chase Bank, and so much more. From the main street of Huntington Drive, it doesn't seem that huge... maybe it's because the shops are deep in and not closer to the street... who knows. Now that Ike's is here, I'll be visiting it more often when I'm in the Arcadia area. This shopping center is actually located in the city of Monrovia (neighbor of Arcadia) which I don't visit frequently except for driving through it as I'm leaving Arcadia on surface street. Huntington Drive is a long stretch through several cities and it just has so many plazas and shopping centers on its course. I actually enjoy my drive through LOL. Thank you! Anyway, drop on by here and enjoy an afternoon of fun shopping and good eats.

Built in 1990, it was recently (2017) sold to investors, the Gerrity Group for $38.1 M. More than half of the tenants in the plaza have been here since 1995. Prior to Smart & Final Extra moving in, there was a Ralph's supermarket. But business slowed down, they shut their doors and the lot sat empty for what felt like over a year. S&M has then brought more foot traffic and interest back into the place. In the past year, Starbucks has moved from the western corner to the eastern ocation, where the physical store is smaller, but they added in a drive thru. Apparently that's the trend now, people are too lazy to get out of their cars for anything. Other tenants include: Wells Fargo Jamba Juice Starbucks Baklava Land (eastern corner) Flame Broiler Subway Hertz Papa John's Dollar tree UPS Store Sports Clips SCE Credit Union Curves Magic Wok and several other independently owned business, (dentist, pilates, eyebrow threading ..etc) The plaza was strategic in picking the right tenants for the community, mostly businesses with discounted, or off-pricing stores so that these tenants can serve the area and have longevity. Years ago, I held accounts at the SCE credit union, did business w/ Wells Fargo and made frequent visits to Baklava Land. These days, I only do occasional shopping at Smart & Final Extra! Tip: * There are two entry/exit points into the parking lot on Huntington Drive and one on Buena Vista St., near the baklava shop. * During major holidays, the parking lot gets hectic. Smart & Final gets the blame for the chaos.

They were here last year for the month of October, and it seems they've returned for the same time this year. There's plenty of parking in this area, and it's conveniently situated next to the newly opened Dollar Tree. Out of all the Spirit Halloween stores I've visited, this one is definitely one of the nicer ones. It's larger, with more space to move around, cleaner, and much better organized, with fewer crowds compared to other locations. Right when you walk in, you're greeted by impressive Halloween displays and moving animatronics. These are available for purchase but tend to be on the pricier side. The technology behind these displays seems to have evolved, with some animatronics even featuring sensor tracking--so their faces move as if they're watching you. This year, it seems they're going for a carnival theme, with decor like the "Wheel of Fate," "Down the Duck," and "World Famous Side Shows" stage, complete with a ticket booth and a walk-through "Fun House." It's all very inventive and adds to the spooky atmosphere. There's a huge selection of Halloween-related items here, from costumes to accessories. You'll find masks, pumpkin carving kits, and an extensive collection of costumes. They have everything from the classic skeletons and ghosts to themed characters. I was particularly impressed by the Spongebob, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Five Nights at Freddy's, and Harry Potter sections. However, the costumes are on the expensive side--for example, the Squidward inflatable costume is a hefty $59.99! Some of these costumes, like Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy, could easily be made for cheaper with a bit of DIY effort. Regardless, if you're looking to get into the Halloween spirit, this is a great spot to visit. The displays are fun, the selection is wide, and even though the prices can be high, it's still worth checking out for the experience alone.
