My favorite grocery outlet in the Pasadena/West SGV area! I have been to 3 other locations and none can compare to this one. They always have the best selection and are always fully stocked up. I always opt to come later in the evening and it's as if I have the entire store to myself, I love it! Service is also good, I've had different checkers everytime I've shopped here and they're always happy to help and really nice! Highly recommend! There are two other locations that are closer to me, but I will always make the drive to this one instead!

On a Saturday morning in early June, my sister and I checked for stuff. I was impressed all the shelves was filled items unlike other grocery outlet stores. It was fun walking each aisle to look for sale items. The store is very clean and well stocked. The place had a several shoppers shopping inside.

I have a thing for grocery outlets.. they are locally owned, have rare finds for incredible prices .. but this one stood out. The lighting is welcoming, the staff is friendly and the music is always is perfect. I decided to do this review on my second visit because if you wow me twice.. you have a loyal customer. The selection of vegan items is AWESOME! They had impossible meat and a week later beyond burgers !!!! I felt safe shopping there ( can't say the same for other la county grocery outlets) The music stood out in both visits to such an extent that I started dancing. This time was doo wop upbeat tunes OH and they had roses !!!!!. I really enjoyed my shopping experience and plan to make this my preferred GO.. sorry Tustin..

I bought this Mini Mantecadas yes I'mterday but I didn't know it it is passed the expiration date.

This store seems to have double the square footage, and has a few more sections and selections than her smaller cousin on Live Oak.

If you are a fan of the Huntington Collection in Pasadena, you'll be sure to love the Bargain Box. Just like the Huntington Collection, I can't call it a thrift shop since it's not like any thrift shops I've been to! Looks more like an expensive antique shop when you step inside. I was blown away by the quality of the available merchandise, especially the housewares and decor. It's very evident that all of the pieces on sale were meticulously cleaned and staged by the hardworking staff. All of the furniture and housewares are excellent condition, not to mention very well priced. Make a point to visit before Halloween! The store is all decked out with Halloween decor! The Bargain Box is managed by the Assistance League of Arcadia, and one of their worthy endeavors is Operation School Bell, which provides much needed clothing as well as school supplies such as backpacks and books to children in need in neighboring local schools. There's a small parking lot but there should be plenty of street parking available if needed. Also, be aware that the store has limited hours since it's managed by volunteers. It's only open two days a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 10am to 1pm.

Clothing, jewelry, books...they carry a little bit of everything here. I enjoy browsing the racks and shelves even when I leave empty handed. Good to know: They are only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I suggest subscribing to their email list so you know the weekly happenings before you visit. The lot is on the smaller side and it fills up pretty quickly. There is plenty of street parking on Live Oak, but that also fills up on Wednesdays. If you arrive a little before opening there is usually a short line outside to get in, but there is never a mad rush to get in or anything, so don't let the line scare you away!

The aisles were too crowded. I had a walker. My friend, in a wheelchair, had a difficult time managing. Something got caught on his wheelchair, and it wouldn't let go. Finally, my friend is a wounded veteran. That's why he uses a wheelchair. He rarely uses his benefits card. He had asked the day before the benefits worker about the parameter of card usage. The worker didn't explain that his card was only for FOOD. He had an exorbitant amount of credit, but it could only be used for food. At the check out, the white woman must have known the rule, because she bagged the food separately from the non-food. She shamed him for making a long line. Maybe had we been white-not me black and female and him Vietnamese and male-disabled or if I had had sex that time, then maybe she would have been respectful. I'm the daughter of a deceased veteran and my friend in the wheelchair, wounded from the war in Iraq. She should try harder. Oh, yes, she was the only one of the staff that was proficient in English. Had the business truly been accommodating, there would have been more space for wheelchairs and walkers. Also, a sitting area for elders and disabled would be there. Finally, common courtesy may go a long way.
